Отель в маленьком городке под Кельном - во Фрехене. Ехать от Кельна примерно 40 минут. До отеля идти тоже прилично от остановки, т.к. находится не в центре Фрехена, а на окраине. Рядом - ни магазинов, ни кафе. Сам отель крайне скромный, ну просто аскетичный. А какие там номера!! Не то, что ничего лишнего, а нет даже самого необходимого - мини-холодильника, например, а ведь он нужен, особенно летом! Сам номер - супер крохотный, метров 8 максимум, одному человеку просто негде развернуться, я уже молчу о двоих! Чемодан поставить некуда! Но то, что нас просто потрясло - это душевая кабинка прямо в комнате! Туалет - отдельный, а душевая вмонтирована просто посреди комнаты, и вход в душ сразу из комнаты, т.е. заходить туда и выходить оттуда надо уже без одежды! Дверь туда стеклянная, переодеться там просто негде, там негде даже полотенце повесить! Я такого неудобного решения не видела еще нигде! Если вы - не пара, а просто друзья или коллеги, то это невозможно! Принимать душ можно, только если ваш друг/коллега выйдет вообще из номера и будет ждать в коридоре. Умывальник стоит в комнате, просто в шаге от кровати. Завтрак стоит 8 евро с человека и просто никакой - ни яичницы, ни омлета, ничего горячего. Просто чай-кофе, скромная нарезка из одного вида сыра и колбасы, йогурты и молоко с хлопьями. Все.

Accueil parfait ,très bien située juste à côté d'une avenue et tout proche d'une station service, parking qui fait le tour de l'hotel, ascenseur, présentation du certificat de vaccination par QR code, chambre 425 plus grande qu'en France mais par contre salle' de bain plus petite ! qui est l'architecte ? la porte vitrée de la douche qui s'ouvre et vient cogner sur le lavabo et donc impossible aux personnes qui sont grosses de rentrer dans la douche même en travers !!! c'est nul de nul ! Pour le petit déjeuner à emporter, j'ai acheté du sucré et du salé.... j'aurais mieux fait d'amener des madeleines et prendre un café au distributeur. Café et yaourths, pommes ok mais bon, le sandwich triangle, faut vraiment avoir faim ! j'en ai laissé ; et que dire des ”croissants au chocolat” (faux nutella ?) sinon que c'est infect car ils sont sous plastique ! idem, 1 sur 2 de mangé... ; sacs en papiers sans anse : idéal pour se brûler les doigts avec le gobelet de café ; prenez exemple sur les BB en France pour les petits déjeuner à emporter !

Weekendje weg met zen 2. Prima hotel. Netjes en modern. Nette kamer. Voldoende ruim. Koffie aanwezig. Ruime badkamer met enkel douche. Geen gebruik gemaakt v ontbijt ivm prijs. Centrale ligging. Parking ondergronds voor 25€ per dag.

I stayed for 2 nights on a trip through Europe. The hotel is centrally located, just a few minutes walk from the beautiful Cologne Cathedral. What I liked: The great location. The friendly staff. Exceptionally clean. Great Breakfast with lots on offer. Easily accessible. The bed was comfortable. What I didn’t like: The room I was given was tiny with no window. It was so so hot and sadly that affected my sleep. The room had air conditioning but it didn’t work and just circulated hot air. However, the kind man on reception offered me another room, but I was already settled and for such a short stay didn’t want to pack everything up again. Regardless of that, I’d be happy to stay here again and the price I paid was incredibly reasonable, being so close to the centre of the city.

Das Hotel liegt in Köln recht zentral. Auch die Möglichkeit direkt im Hotel zu frühstücken hat wohl den Ausschlag für die Buchung gegeben. Jedoch schon bei der Ankunft zeigte sich das an der Rezeption vor und nach mir es wohl Lautstärkedifferenzen zwischen den Buchungen der anreisenden Gäste und den Verständnis, der nur bedingt deutsch sprechenden Dame an der Rezeption gab. Mein mitreißender Kollege hat er eindeutig Frühstück mit bestellt. Musste dies aber am nächsten Morgen lautstark einfordern. Ich selbst, bin sehr viel in Hotels unterwegs hab es aber extrem selten erlebt, dass das Personal gegenseitig immer wieder lautstark vorgestern um Abläufe, welche eingeübt sein sollten, stritten. Mein Zimmer selbst war abgewohnt und hatte wohl den Flair der 1980 Jahre. Stromkabel einfach an die Wand geklebt, mit der Hoffnung, dass diese sich nicht wieder lösen. Insgesamt würde ich dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen. Was den Grund, dass Mitarbeiter und Gäste sich ständig negativ anschreien.

Hotel staff, were professional, efficient and friendly. I was on a business trip, the hotel was convenient for a good connection to the road network, in the morning for business. While being convenient for access to the city and other amenities in the evening.

Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and the best hotel from Accor Hotels. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates for my stay. As soon as I realised it, I contacted the hotel. The staff helped me to change my reservation dates. While on my trip, due to the strikes in France and problems with the train connections I had to postpone my meeting online. I sent an email to request to check in early since I will be having my meeting at 1 p.m. Ms Wulff made the necessary arrangements prior to my arrival. On my arrival I was able to check in early and able to proceed with my online meeting. Without her help I would not be able to conduct my meeting. On the next day, I had another online meeting. Her colleague made the necessary arrangements so that the housekeeping team could get the room cleaned before lunch and my next online appointment. Till date I have stayed in a number of hotels from the Accor Hotels group. In comparison to M Gallery am Konzerthaus in Wien, Hotel Mondial am Dom in Cologne exceeds my expectations. Professionalism The staff at the reception were not only friendly and good at what they are doing, they are also willing to help and went an extra mile to make things possible. I would not have been able to get my work done if they did not help me. Even when checking out, the staff was professional and showed interest to assist customers whenever they dan. Splendid Location Situation a few minutes walk from the train station and the main city area, is this hotel definite one of the most strategic location in Cologne. View of the Cathedral I managed to get a glimpse of the cathedral from my room. Dinner I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was not only affordable, the service was impeccable. The waiter even suggested where I could sit so that I can get the best view of the area. Awesome! I would like to thank the remarkable staff for making my stay in Köln memorable und unforgettable. Ich habe bei der Buchung das falsche Datum eingegeben und musste meine Buchung ändern. Die Mitarbeiterin. hat mir geholfen meine Buchung zu ändern. Wegen Streiks und Probleme mit Deutsch Bahn musste ich meine Termine verschieben. Ich habe das Hotel gefragt ob ich früher einchecken kann um mein Termin online wahr zu nehmen. Frau Wullf hat alles für mich arrangiert damit ich meinen Termin online fortsetzen kann. Am nächsten Tag habe ich auch einen Termin online. Der Kollege von Frau Wulff hat mit dem Housekeeping-Team koordiniert damit das Zimmer von 13 Uhr fertig gereinigt ist. Dadurch könnte ich meinen Termin um 14 Uhr wahrnehmen. In diesem Hotel sind die Mitarbeiter:innen nicht nur freundlich sondern auch hilfsbereit. Diese Motivation ist leider eine Seltenheit auch bei den Luxus-Marken von Accor. The pluses and negatives of this hotel are: Good Points: Premium location, the hotel is only a short 10 min walk down the hill and to the right from the station bringing you to a quiet courtyard 1 block back from the main Heumarkt square (left hand side of the square) A modern, boutique sized hotel Comfy bed Quiet from an outside noise perspective, especially given its next to the main bar / restaurant areas of Cologne Clean Negatives Pillows too soft Double rooms very compact with minimal storage space for luggage Walls very thin, you can hear every conversation clearly of your neighbours Continental breakfast at 15 euro was overpriced imo for the choice available if not included in room rate No bar/relaxation area to sit in, if you are wanting to use hotel facilities to relax No tea/coffee making facilities in room, kettle available on request Walk in shower was nice but as bathroom is so small you end up having a slippy floor, and be careful of the floor rails where the glass shower panel runs as raised and easy to trip over Mini bar was empty other than 2 complimentary bottles of water (not that we usually purchase from mini bar) but worth noting if you do Overall on a personal note we paid a high room rate for our particular 2 night break due to it been a peak weekend of events going on in Cologne which were unknown to us when we originally booked the flights and decided on this hotel. It was not worth 500 euros, I would say 350 / max 400, and this is mainly due to the location. Perfectly functional for a short break at the right price.

There was no air conditioning (AC) even though the hotel advertised as having it. Their excuses was that it was too cool at night to operate the AC for the hotel even though it was actually very warm outside. Translation: the entire hotel is either on heat or AC, they are too frugal to allow use of the advertised AC, or their system is outdated and does not actually work properly. Very hot and stuff room. The odd thing was is that the hotel lobby seemed to have AC. The hallways and room were uncomfortably hot. Upon checking in there was only a little bit of toilet paper was left on the roll. Fortunately there was an extra roll provided. Only a few sheets of Kleenex were in the box. Also, the hand soap dispenser was nearly empty. It seems not much care is given to the rooms between guests. On our last day the housekeeper knocks on the door early in the morning even tough the “do not disturb” sign was hung on the door. It was a basic room with furnishings that included a desk, a small round table, 2 small nightstands, a desk chair, and one sitting chair. There was no usable refrigerator, just a mini bar. The was only one suitcase rack situated in the closet. We had to use the sitting chair for our other suitcase. The beds were not too comfortable. Also the pillow case did not completely cover the pillow, so your head might rest upon the exposed portion of the pillow where the lasts hundreds of guest placed their heads. Bathroom was OK but a bit smelly. The shower had low water pressure. Some water will leak out under the shower door to the floor. Stepping over the high tub with a slippery shower floor is a bit precarious. Internet speed was 3.81 Mbps in both upload and download, with 8 ms latency. The location is near the chocolate museum and a good pizza and pasta restaurant is nearby. The cathedral is less than a mile away. At almost 400 euros a night, it was very expensive for a poor experience. Perhaps HN stands for “Not Happy.”
