During my 35+ years of traveling, I never had such an experience of the housekeeping staff leaving the door opened after cleaning my room. I returned to my room after a full day of work at the conference and business dinner, I found my room left opened! I was totally in shock to see my room was opened! I took a photo and then went to look for the hotel staff to go with me to check out the room. The Hotel Manager found shocking as well, he said he never experienced this in his entire hotel business career. We went in the room and checked, luckily nothing was missing, apparently the housekeeping staff didn’t close the door behind her/him. The Manager was trying to offer me something, breakfast at first but I don’t eat breakfast, then he was offering me a drink at the bar and I accepted it as I really needed a drink after such dramatic incident. Then I saw a roach crawling near the coffee machine the second night of my stay, so I went down to the front desk talking to the staff but the staff didn’t think it’s a big deal but I request to have someone helped me catch it otherwise I wouldn’t be able to sleep at night. So a man came with me trying to catch it but failed and he apologize for not be able to catch it. Then I went down to the front desk asking for a room change with no luck as the hotel is full. She gave me a doorknob tag to get a snack from the bar or some nuts from the minibar. From the look on her face telling me she really didn’t care, probably thinking why I made such a big deal about a roach in my room! Paying two thousands something a night for a hotel room to getting such service and experience is totally not worth it not mention vehicle cannot reach the front entrance of the hotel. The Uber driver dropped me off by the pond pointing me to the hotel and telling me to walk across the bridge with my luggage the first night arriving the hotel. Uber drivers always drop me off the street near the hotel to walk back. Very inconvenient even the outside of the hotel is nice with the pond and greens. I don’t often write reviews unless the staying experience is SUPER NICE or SUPER BAD!

The location is very good. 10 minutes walking to the cathedral. The rooms are nice and clean. Friendly staff and all speaking very good English. In general we had a very pleasant experience. Highly recommend it.

Good hotel

The hotel is 15 minutes away from the main attractions. The living environment is quiet, safe and secure! Very convenient. The breakfast is also good! The facilities are basically the same as those of domestic hotels, except that toothbrushes and slippers are not provided. Highly recommended!

The hotel is not bad, with nice views in front and back. The hotel room is large for similar hotels in Cologne. There is a park behind for jogging and a lake in front, with good air.

The hotel itself is good value for money, the room is big, the bathroom is big, and the scenery outside is very beautiful, but there are many problems. 1. The bath water is hot and cold, and the bathing experience is very poor. 2. The next day, I found a long-legged flying bug in the room. I couldn't name it, but it was 2cm long. 3. The next morning, the room attendant swiped the card and entered the room without knocking on the door, and I was not wearing pants at this time. I did not receive any form of apology afterwards. 4. The air conditioner is very loud, but it is very stuffy when turned off. 5. The curtain part is very strange, the light-proof curtain is on the outside, and the gauze curtain is on the inside. It is very difficult to open and close the curtain every time. 6. The distance to the opposite office is very close, very close.

The room is clean, the sound insulation effect is good, and the breakfast is rich. It is worth choosing!

I stayed at this hotel twice and was basically satisfied. The only thing I didn’t have was the breakfast.

Environment: very beautiful, the lake is at the door. Facilities: complete, everything you expect. Hygiene: clean and tidy Service: The lady at the front desk was very friendly and arranged for me a room overlooking the lake.

The hotel is very clean, and you have to drive into the underground parking lot.
