The Hotel shows five stars! The room had no wifi whatsoever, although they showed three different wifi lans. Attempts to bridge this gap with mobile hotspots were not helpful. Noises from other rooms were audible, which means a bad noise insulation. Worst of all was that there was first only boiling hot water in the bathroom. This was due to the fact that all cold water supplies were closed. Still after opening them ourselves, one of the two lavatories cold water regulator was not functional. Shocking was that the shower was switching from regulated 38 degrees Celsius to suddenly boiling hot water and then to ice cold water. This made showering an unpleasant not to say dangerous encounter! You judge if this Hotel deserves the five star rating. Our attempt to communicate the shortcomings was prompted with the statement that the maintenance technicians had left! (???)

This is a decent budget hotel in a good location. The hotel is directly on the station and in front of the Dom. It was great given we had an early train the next day. The room was fine. Be aware if you're on the 4th floor there's no lift for the last 8 steps. Room was clean and bed was comfortable and the shower room was also clean with good water pressure. It was basic and I'd have liked more pillows but for an overnight stop it was fine and we wanted it mainly for the location. We had to leave early so didn't manage breakfast but there are plenty of places in the vicinity that serve food.

For my first trip to Cologne, my one-week stay at AMERON was delightful, so I hope I will be a returning guest soon! The hotel's location is perfect for catching different public transport means quickly and efficiently. The room was well-lighted, spacious, great for relaxing but also working, and had a pleasant modern warm aesthetic. The restaurant had delicious quality food (breakfast selection was very diverse, dinner too was always tasty), ”served” with a stylish and cozy atmosphere. The hotel's staff as well as the restaurant's staff were very friendly and had a lot of benevolent patience with my rusty German speaking skills! Communication was easy, professional, but also comfortable, in both German and English. Very happy with my choice, my heartfelt thanks to all the staff!

Hotel ligt vlak bij de Dom en het centraal station in een rustige straat en beschikt over een eigen parkeergarage (tegen betaling) die wel vrij nauwe ingang en nauwe parkeerplekken heeft. We arriveerden tegen het middaguur; onze business comfort met 2 separate bedden kamer was reeds gereed. Inchecken verloopt snel en effectief in de kleine receptie. De kamer beschikt over een badkamer met baddouche en toilet. Er is een raam dat open kan. Ondanks dat de kamer aan de straatzijde op 1e etage ligt is deze rustig. Er is koffie thee op de kamer beschikbaar. Vlak naast de receptie ligt de grote ruimte waar het ontbijtbuffet met ruim voldoende keuze geserveerd wordt. Vanuit het hotel loop je binnen 5 minuten via de stationshal het stadscentrum met alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden (waaronder de Dom van Keulen) in. Er zijn voldoende restaurants in de omgeving; het hotel heeft geen restaurant voor lunch of diner.

The Courtyard Marriott of Cologne was clean, beautiful and a great location. It was a short walk to the Central train Station and near all the sights of Cologne. I was only there for one night and did not get to experience the breakfast as we checked out before it was served, but they did provide me with a lunch box which included a ham and cheese sandwich, a banana and a water. There is coffee and boxed water 24 hours a day in the lobby. The beds were super comfortable and the temperature of the room was ideal, as we had control over the air conditioner, whereas other hotels we stayed in the same week, did not allow us control and we were very warm. The room we had was a nice size and the view was of the empty courtyard which was extrememly quiet and definitely highly desirable. Front staff upon checking in, was not friendly, however after check in everyone else we came in contact with was very friendly. I didn't get the ladies name at the front desk, but she definitely didn't give us a positive welcome. Glad her shift ended and everyone else we dealt with, and passed was extremely friendly and that is what the experience should be like.

Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and the best hotel from Accor Hotels. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates for my stay. As soon as I realised it, I contacted the hotel. The staff helped me to change my reservation dates. While on my trip, due to the strikes in France and problems with the train connections I had to postpone my meeting online. I sent an email to request to check in early since I will be having my meeting at 1 p.m. Ms Wulff made the necessary arrangements prior to my arrival. On my arrival I was able to check in early and able to proceed with my online meeting. Without her help I would not be able to conduct my meeting. On the next day, I had another online meeting. Her colleague made the necessary arrangements so that the housekeeping team could get the room cleaned before lunch and my next online appointment. Till date I have stayed in a number of hotels from the Accor Hotels group. In comparison to M Gallery am Konzerthaus in Wien, Hotel Mondial am Dom in Cologne exceeds my expectations. Professionalism The staff at the reception were not only friendly and good at what they are doing, they are also willing to help and went an extra mile to make things possible. I would not have been able to get my work done if they did not help me. Even when checking out, the staff was professional and showed interest to assist customers whenever they dan. Splendid Location Situation a few minutes walk from the train station and the main city area, is this hotel definite one of the most strategic location in Cologne. View of the Cathedral I managed to get a glimpse of the cathedral from my room. Dinner I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was not only affordable, the service was impeccable. The waiter even suggested where I could sit so that I can get the best view of the area. Awesome! I would like to thank the remarkable staff for making my stay in Köln memorable und unforgettable. Wegen Streiks und Probleme mit Deutsch Bahn musste ich meine Termine verschieben. Ich habe das Hotel gefragt ob ich früher einchecken kann um mein Termin online wahr zu nehmen. Frau Wullf hat alles für mich arrangiert damit ich meinen Termin online fortsetzen kann. Am nächsten Tag habe ich auch einen Termin online. Der Kollege von Frau Wulff hat mit dem Housekeeping-Team koordiniert damit das Zimmer von 13 Uhr fertig gereinigt ist. Dadurch könnte ich meinen Termin um 14 Uhr wahrnehmen. In diesem Hotel sind die Mitarbeiter:innen nicht nur freundlich sondern auch hilfsbereit. Diese Motivation ist leider eine Seltenheit auch bei den Luxus-Marken von Accor. While I would be happy to stay again, the whole experience left me feeling like they were taking advantage of me, charging top dollar for a minimalist experience. The room was quiet, and comfortable, however very minimalist. Don't expect a fridge or a bed-spread that actually covers you from head to toe, but sure - have a guitar amplifier instead. The walls in the bedroom are bare concrete with the pencil marks from the builders left on them. This has encouraged people to add their own pencil marks to the wall. Of course, the thing you want to think about when you are sleeping in a room is how many ”joe loves mary” are inscribe on the wall, proving how many people have been loving each other in the bed before you. The bed spread is a single that they spread along the width of the bed, so to cover a double it doesn't cover you feet. Fine for a single person though. The breakfast offering was good, but no hot dishes. Parking onsite is limited, and 20Euro a night. I received a free drink though, for not having my room serviced for three days, which was something at least. Staff were excellent - friendly and responsive.

Friendly desk staff. Comfortable beds. No mini fridge in room. Rooms were provided with a bottle of water which was nice. Plenty of storage. The soap provided in the bathroom was of poor quality so definitely bring your own. Breakfast was ok. It seemed far too expensive for what it was- yogurt/bread/cheese/ eggs/ honey . One day we found mouldy yogurt/orange/crudités - they dealt with this swiftly and didn’t charge us for breakfast. Housekeeping didn’t come once during our 3 night stay. One of the chairs in our room had questionable stains on it. The gym looked very small and only had one set of weights and an elliptical machine. Overall a comfortable stay. More 3 star than 4 star hotel. Was conveniently situated close to good shops and restaurants.

Had a lovely three nights at the Hotel Imperial. In fact, it was our favourite hotel of the three we stayed in whilst travelling around Germany for a week. The hotel is in an ideal location and a 5-10 minute walk from Venloerstrasse-a street with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. In fact it’s much better to get a meal here as opposed to some of the tourist traps nearer the Altstadt. You can walk from the hotel to the Cathedral in about 35 mins or otherwise the public transport is 5-10 mins walk. We had a very comfortable and quiet room on the third floor. All amenities we needed were provided. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. A shout out to Hert Engelmann who was patient and complimentary with my rusty German and who gave us some excellent t restaurant tips. Would definitely return.

Nice hotel in an old city building. I liked that I was able to securely park my car in the back lot. The room was comfortable and clean. Good value as many hotels were sold out or high prices during the Christmas Markt season. My daughter and I walked and visited 5 Christmas Markts from the Hotel Boulevard and would have made e 6 if not for rain. They offer a very good breakfast in the morning.

El hotel puede resultar un poquito extravagante respecto a la decoración y los espacios, pero el servicio es excelente, la disponibilidad del personal está muy bien, la habitación limpia, cómoda y con todo lo necesario para disfrutar si no buscas lujo. El desayuno buffet está muy bien, a mi parecer un poco costoso pero no hay nada que decir respecto de variedad y cantidad. Cercano al metro y a una distancia caminable de la Köln hbf y de sitios turísticos como la catedral, el río, etc. esto lo transforma en un buen lugar de base tanto para viajes de negocios (Köln Messe) o para turistear.

Im Rahmen eines Konzertbesuchs hatte ich die Gelegenheit, in diesem gemütlichen Hotel zu übernachten. Wie schon auf der Homepage zu erkennen ist, zeichnet sich das Hotel durch ein liebevolles und charmantes Konzept aus: die Gäste dürfen die Herzlichkeit und den Einrichtungsstil von Tante Alma bewundern und genießen; fast so, als wäre man bei seiner eigenen Großmutter zu Besuch. Das Mobiliar und die Deko sind dabei stimmig und hübsch ohne kitschig zu wirken. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, bieten ausreichend Platz und die Betten sind wirklich super-bequem. Sowohl das Kaffeekränzchen als auch das kleine Frühstück werden in Almas Wohnzimmer serviert, welches ebenfalls mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet ist. Allerdings kann es beim Frühstück schon mal recht voll und somit (je nach Sitzplatz) etwas trubelig werden. Mich hat das jedoch nicht gestört, da es weder hektisch oder laut wurde, sondern eher das Gefühl vermittelt hat, Teil einer Großfamilie zu sein, in der immer geschäftiges Treiben herrscht. Die Lage des Hotels ist dank der Nähe zum Dom/ Hauptbahnhof und den Kneipen/ Gaststätten und Geschäften im direkten Umfeld hervorragend. Positiv überrascht hat mich hierbei, dass die Geräusche von draußen kaum im Zimmer zu hören waren; so konnte ich wirklich komplett ungestört schlummern. Alles in allem kann ich dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen und bedanke mich auf diesem Wege ganz herzlich bei dem durchweg sympathischen und freundlichen Personal, das einem sofort ein Lächeln ins Gesicht zaubert! Sollte ich wieder nach Köln kommen, werde ich Tante Alma auf jeden Fall einen weiteres Mal besuchen!

This is a good, solid hotel. Very clean room, comfortable bed, and the staff is friendly. The room faced a side street which was rather loud when sleeping with an open window. For a hotel chain that prides itself with its design, the room was a little boring ... which is fine, just clashed with the glossy design brochures that were inside the boring room. Maybe this was another hotel before it became a ”motel”? WiFi is fine. Breakfast was nice and good quality, but the breakfast area is a little bit small, and it gets very crowded during rush hour. Also, the breakfast choices are limited by unexpected vegan items. Vegan would be great as long as it does not try to imitate other food, and as long as there would be more vegetarian choices like more real cheeses available.

This hotel was absolutely amazing. I actually can’t describe in words how kind the staff were in this hotel. When I got there I was really exhausted from my journey to this city, but the friendly greeting in this hotel immediately made me feel welcome! The guy who helped me check in was very friendly. When I booked the room throughout this website I made a request to have a quiet room. When I arrived in the room I could really see they were really thoughtful about choosing the room, because it was really quiet and far away from the other rooms, so you won’t hear the foot steps or doors slamming at night. Also wanted to thank the friendly guy who was working on the afternoon shifts (Thursday 2 September and Friday 3 September). He was very kind and patient whenever I would ask something. My English sometimes gets a little lost in the translation, but he didn’t made me feel rushed and took his time to understand what I trying to say. He is true gentleman! When I was ready to leave there was a lovely lady ready to help me with the checkout. What I really liked about her that she was not only polite, but also genuine and very kind! The room, where I was staying in, was also very clean. Which made me feel comfortable to stay in this hotelroom. I couldn’t wish for anything else during my stay. Please, if you are visiting Cologne and if you are looking for a nice hotel to stay in, I would definitely recommend this hotel!
