The Hotel shows five stars! The room had no wifi whatsoever, although they showed three different wifi lans. Attempts to bridge this gap with mobile hotspots were not helpful. Noises from other rooms were audible, which means a bad noise insulation. Worst of all was that there was first only boiling hot water in the bathroom. This was due to the fact that all cold water supplies were closed. Still after opening them ourselves, one of the two lavatories cold water regulator was not functional. Shocking was that the shower was switching from regulated 38 degrees Celsius to suddenly boiling hot water and then to ice cold water. This made showering an unpleasant not to say dangerous encounter! You judge if this Hotel deserves the five star rating. Our attempt to communicate the shortcomings was prompted with the statement that the maintenance technicians had left! (???)

離開荷蘭糟糕的希爾頓逸林酒店，到德國科隆住入萬豪，住入酒店時候接待人員熱情仔細的給我解釋了我的住宿費已經在平台付款包含早餐，7—11點在前台後面餐廳用餐，離店時候衹需要付款城市税就可以，刷卡按金50歐。這家酒店房間温度舒適有24℃左右，衞生乾淨房間設施該有的都有。非常推薦！下次還會繼續入住萬豪。

Definitely one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in and the best hotel from Accor Hotels. I had accidentally booked the wrong dates for my stay. As soon as I realised it, I contacted the hotel. The staff helped me to change my reservation dates. While on my trip, due to the strikes in France and problems with the train connections I had to postpone my meeting online. I sent an email to request to check in early since I will be having my meeting at 1 p.m. Ms Wulff made the necessary arrangements prior to my arrival. On my arrival I was able to check in early and able to proceed with my online meeting. Without her help I would not be able to conduct my meeting. On the next day, I had another online meeting. Her colleague made the necessary arrangements so that the housekeeping team could get the room cleaned before lunch and my next online appointment. Till date I have stayed in a number of hotels from the Accor Hotels group. In comparison to M Gallery am Konzerthaus in Wien, Hotel Mondial am Dom in Cologne exceeds my expectations. Professionalism The staff at the reception were not only friendly and good at what they are doing, they are also willing to help and went an extra mile to make things possible. I would not have been able to get my work done if they did not help me. Even when checking out, the staff was professional and showed interest to assist customers whenever they dan. Splendid Location Situation a few minutes walk from the train station and the main city area, is this hotel definite one of the most strategic location in Cologne. View of the Cathedral I managed to get a glimpse of the cathedral from my room. Dinner I had dinner at the hotel restaurant. It was not only affordable, the service was impeccable. The waiter even suggested where I could sit so that I can get the best view of the area. Awesome! I would like to thank the remarkable staff for making my stay in Köln memorable und unforgettable. Wegen Streiks und Probleme mit Deutsch Bahn musste ich meine Termine verschieben. Ich habe das Hotel gefragt ob ich früher einchecken kann um mein Termin online wahr zu nehmen. Frau Wullf hat alles für mich arrangiert damit ich meinen Termin online fortsetzen kann. Am nächsten Tag habe ich auch einen Termin online. Der Kollege von Frau Wulff hat mit dem Housekeeping-Team koordiniert damit das Zimmer von 13 Uhr fertig gereinigt ist. Dadurch könnte ich meinen Termin um 14 Uhr wahrnehmen. This is a decent budget hotel in a good location. The hotel is directly on the station and in front of the Dom. It was great given we had an early train the next day. The room was fine. Be aware if you're on the 4th floor there's no lift for the last 8 steps. Room was clean and bed was comfortable and the shower room was also clean with good water pressure. It was basic and I'd have liked more pillows but for an overnight stop it was fine and we wanted it mainly for the location. We had to leave early so didn't manage breakfast but there are plenty of places in the vicinity that serve food.

Es ist ein recht großes Hotel, wir haben den beschriebenen Luxus vermisst! Der Frühstücksraum war sehr groß, es war laut und ungemütlich, keine Spur von dem beschriebenen gehobenen Standard! Auf keinen Fall 29,90€ wert. Essen war in Ordnung aber es fehlte halt an Pkatz und vorallem am nötigen Ambiente! Grosses Manko der Pool und Wellnessbereich, der zusätzlich bezahlt werden musste, 16€ pro Person wenn man morgens vor dem Frühstück schwimmen möchte ist ein no go! Für diese Hotel Kategorie sollte man im Zimmer eine Kaffeemaschine haben :-( ebenso gab es keinen normalen Handspiegel an der Wand. Fazit laut der super Beschreibung ist man enttäuscht, wir haben mehr erwartet!

Bij het inchecken ging het oké, ik spreek zelf niet de oorspronkelijke taal en wilde Engels praten, dat werd niet in dank afgenomen aan de blik op het gezicht. Verder kregen wij een foute route beschrijving naar de kamer, we moesten helemaal naar achteren lopen in het hotel om daar de lift te nemen, maar hij zat naast de receptie. Verder wat het hotel zwaar verouderd en was het dak lek want het regende en ik kreeg druppels op het hoofd. De hotel kamer was verouderd, alleen de douche niet, die was zeer luxe. De kamer had goede hygiëne en was goed schoon. De locatie was zeer uitstekend!

The hotel is located beside the train station. There are many restaurants nearby and the cathedral is not too far away. The staffs were a little weird. They tried to be funny but maybe something was lost in translation and made us feeling uncomfortable. One of the staffs didn’t understand our question in English, but instead of trying to understand our question, she insisted her answer which left us more confused. Another staff completely ignored us when we were trying to talk to him because he was “busy” doing something else behind the desk although he made a lot of uncomfortable jokes at the beginning.

Hotel ligt vlak bij de Dom en het centraal station in een rustige straat en beschikt over een eigen parkeergarage (tegen betaling) die wel vrij nauwe ingang en nauwe parkeerplekken heeft. We arriveerden tegen het middaguur; onze business comfort met 2 separate bedden kamer was reeds gereed. Inchecken verloopt snel en effectief in de kleine receptie. De kamer beschikt over een badkamer met baddouche en toilet. Er is een raam dat open kan. Ondanks dat de kamer aan de straatzijde op 1e etage ligt is deze rustig. Er is koffie thee op de kamer beschikbaar. Vlak naast de receptie ligt de grote ruimte waar het ontbijtbuffet met ruim voldoende keuze geserveerd wordt. Vanuit het hotel loop je binnen 5 minuten via de stationshal het stadscentrum met alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden (waaronder de Dom van Keulen) in. Er zijn voldoende restaurants in de omgeving; het hotel heeft geen restaurant voor lunch of diner.

The staff were superb and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was again superb and the choice really good for a small boutique hotel. Would definitely recommend and return if we visit Cologne again. Only small point we would make is to try and add some privacy blinds or something on the windows so the curtains do not need to be closed as room overlooked by building close by

In terms of location relative to the train station, the Dom, the Christmas Market, shopping and restaurants you can't beat it. Cost is average. The attached beer hall was great and had wonderful food and service, highly recommend the pork hock. The hotel breakfast buffet was very good with a wide range of choices. The downside, between the pedestrian traffic, construction and the Christmas Market do not expect to get any sleep. Things shut down about 2:30am and construction starts about 7:00am and the hotel is far from sound-proof. The rooms in the older part of the hotel are in desperate need of renovation, bathroom was very small. Parts of the hotel have been modernized and the rooms there while small, are in much better shape. Depending on your tolerance its a viable option in Cologne.

Easy booking online - check in was a little long-winded as there's no actual staff just a machine to check in, it took a few goes to get it right. Room was large, bed comfy and we even had a balcony on an unexpected upgrade. Nespresso coffee machine & 4 pods in the room were a bonus. Overlooks a lively square and is perfectly placed to explore the old town and head out for drinks/dinner. Bathroom clean and functional, quite eco-conscious as well. A free packet of plant seeds on the bed was a very nice touch. Would happily stay here again if we were in Cologne.

The pluses and negatives of this hotel are: Good Points: Premium location, the hotel is only a short 10 min walk down the hill and to the right from the station bringing you to a quiet courtyard 1 block back from the main Heumarkt square (left hand side of the square) A modern, boutique sized hotel Comfy bed Quiet from an outside noise perspective, especially given its next to the main bar / restaurant areas of Cologne Clean Negatives Pillows too soft Double rooms very compact with minimal storage space for luggage Walls very thin, you can hear every conversation clearly of your neighbours Continental breakfast at 15 euro was overpriced imo for the choice available if not included in room rate No bar/relaxation area to sit in, if you are wanting to use hotel facilities to relax No tea/coffee making facilities in room, kettle available on request Walk in shower was nice but as bathroom is so small you end up having a slippy floor, and be careful of the floor rails where the glass shower panel runs as raised and easy to trip over Mini bar was empty other than 2 complimentary bottles of water (not that we usually purchase from mini bar) but worth noting if you do Overall on a personal note we paid a high room rate for our particular 2 night break due to it been a peak weekend of events going on in Cologne which were unknown to us when we originally booked the flights and decided on this hotel. It was not worth 500 euros, I would say 350 / max 400, and this is mainly due to the location. Perfectly functional for a short break at the right price.
