From the beginning, the Cellars-Hohenort went above and beyond for us. The staff, management and property are exceptional. Nestled at the base of Table Mountain, this property offered a quite reprieve from the hustle and bustle of Cape Town. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of dishes being offered and a continental spread available for starters. We will definitely come back and stay at this lovely hotel!

We visited the restaurant! The place is gorgeous and a beautiful view. Their wine selection is vast and their food was very tasty! My friend even tried one of their cocktails and was very happy. Definitely will go back!

We consider our 4-night stay at the Cellars-Hohenort to be the best resort experience we ever had. Impeccable service and ambience. The entire staff was so welcoming, professional, caring, and attentive. The attention to detail for everything was amazing. Charming in every way. We loved all meals, the multiple spa treatments, walking around the grounds . . . everything. We'll definitely plan to return. Best service and treatment we've ever experienced.

Our recent stay at The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel was an amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel itself with the wondervoll surrounding garden is beautiful and located in a green and safe area in Cape Town. Furthermore the food in their own unique restaurant from breakfast to dinner is more than delicious. The staff at the hotel was a standout aspect of our visit. Always helpful and genuinely kind, they made sure all our questions were answered. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident, making our stay even more comfortable and enjoyable. In summary, we had a very positive experience at The Cellars-Hohenort Hotel. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for quality and comfort in a beautiful hotel environment.

Reservation system is disappointing. Booked via ******* as per their requirements but received email that the reservation was abruptly cancelled by the hotel. A deposit was paid to secure the reservation. On making further enquiries ******* bounces this to the hotel who bounce it back to them. Very unpleasant and when one tries to rebook the hotel is said to be sold out!

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in and I have travelled a lot. It is a beautiful old building with such character. The food is wonderful and we ate in the restaurant most evenings. The chef also made the cake for the wedding we were there for and it was just wonderful. The main reason there aren't enough stars to rate this hotel, is the staff. Everyone just wants to ensure that you are having a good time and have everything you need. The friendliness from the gardeners, reception, restaurant and bar staff is second to none. We will be back !

We dined here in our final night in S Africa and it is always reassuring to return to a top class restaurant with first class service. The new decor was buzzy and made the vibe younger. All of our meals were delicious and beautifully presented.

A dream visit. We landed from Heathrow at 8.30 am. The chauffeur Cellars had arranged was there to greet us. A lovely reception from Daniel at the hotel. We had prebooked a morning massage as we knew we would be there early. Everything flowed so smoothly. A walk round the wonderful grounds, an hour on the back lawn and a lovely lunch we were ready for our room which is simply amazing! We were thoroughly spoilt by room 5, thank you. Our room had a small patio which was part of anther garden area, thus spoilt for choice A pleasant dinner in the conservatory. Incidentally, we found the omelette a better choice for breakfast rather than the full English I like to give an honest and balanced view on all things. We loved the Cellars for our room, for the facilities such as the smaller garden/swimming pool though frankly the larger lawns/swimming pool was equally magnificent Food wise, the conservatory restaurant is good, but it didn`t particularly wow either of us. But that should not deter you from booking this wonderful wonderful retreat for your own dream visit. Special thanks to Daniel and Hellena on reception.
