Econo Lodge Inn & Suites Corning

When I made my reservation I had requested a first floor due to my disability. When I arrived there were no first floor rooms available. The guy at the counter offered me a suite for more money. I politely declined and asked him for the elevator to get to my second floor room. He told me the motel didn’t have an elevator. I then asked him for assistance to get up the stairs with my belongings since I have a fused ankle and a bad knee. He told me he could not help me as he was the only one there. Poor customer service. Poor disability accommodations. But, I must say, once I made it up there, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I slept well.

This place is beyond disgusting!!!! We didn't expect 5 stars because in all honesty it's a trucker stop off I-5. We booked it because of the 4 stars on TripAdvisor. This place is so run down I felt like the movie joy ride! CANDYCANE!! The only possibly decent part of this hotel is the pool and even that was slightly dirty and over full. Back to the rooms- we went thru 6 rooms before we found a decent place to sleep. The bathrooms were not clean and it stunk like sweaty armpits. One of the 6 smelled like a piss. The beds had stains on them and thank goodness we didn't find "genetic material" I could have sworn that there was some on there! NASTY!! It gets better!!!! This morning we woke up to a lovely surprise! Tasty breakfast in the lobby?!? No don't even think about it! After this last part I'm about to tell you we didn't even venture in there! The guy a few doors down found bed bugs in his bed!!!! Yes that's bed bugs I said!!!! He is currently in the process of notifying the health department and they so graciously compensated his room! Meanwhile the manager saw them, is notifying the owner, and pest control is being called. Let's be serious just burn it down and start all over..... Runaway! Stay far away!

We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the night. Both of us were exhausted to the point of near collapse the night we arrived at the Corning, CA Econo Lodge. From the moment we walked in the office door we knew that we were in the right place. Tim was working the desk that night. He greeted us warmly and sincerely and made us feel very welcome. Our room was spotlessly clean and very appealing. Hot showers and a comfortable bed made for a pleasant night. The room was quiet, clean and the bed was perfect. The next morning we had yummy waffles and juice in an extremely clean and well-kept kitchen area. The man working the counter went out of his way to let us know that we mattered to him personally. We cannot say enough good things about this motel. Highly recommend to anyone and we will definitely be making this our new 'go-to' lodging on I-5.

Very clean room and property. The friendly staff is a bonus with the reasonable rates. As a solo female who is also disabled I always feel safe and comfortable when I stay here. The only downside is not all places are like this.
