Buendia Corralejo Nohotel

We had high hopes when coming to this hotel following the trip advisor reviews and they have been met, mostly. Firstly the staff of hotel cannot be faulted, always happy to help, checking in midweek via what’s app. The restaurant, not so much. It is 3rd party restaurant we are told hence the difference in experience. Welcome drinks on arrival was lovely touch. Building Works being done outside but I was on the opposite side and barely heard it but my partner went out to smoke and it’s a killer if your apartment is on that side, can’t hear it too much from the pool. It’s apparently a play area which will be lovely as it’s sea view, the walk to the Harbour is nice but again can get windy, wear your spf cos it’s deceiving and we had average temp of 24 degrees. When it states buffet breakfast that’s not really true, it’s cooked fresh for you which is wonderful however when requesting alterations (no beans or mushrooms, extra egg to meet family needs) I am told “the chef doesn’t like changes”. Also, my son asked for an another plate(omelette) to be told no, one only. IMO that isn’t buffet then. Furthermore, My partner went to the room and returned for a coffee was told no, you must pay now even tho it was before 11am finish time and we had paid for breakfast all week. The chefs are inconsistent. The tall grey haired man is a much better chef, runny eggs x2, presented nicely(pic attached from first day), The short brown haired man is like it was cooked the day before and heated up. Hash browns so hard, eggs cooked both sides so not runny, ratios in their portion size oceans apart, sausages when they have them left. 3 out of 5 days only. They do an offer whereby if you pay the week it’s slightly cheaper which we done but it has made me a bit annoyed because I was under the impression it was buffet as advertised, partner asked for 2 sausage etc and still only got given one. Lots of places to eat locally which would have probably been better in hindsight. It gets very windy in there so could do with some pull down sides to protect as it’s all open, if you sit in after being in the pool you can be cold, take a cardi. You can browse the menu on the app which they leave a little block 11-5pm(pic attached) on the sun beds but you can’t order, maybe this would be something that can be looked at and can order and pay on app rather than going to restaurant to order as they bring it out to pool side anyway. The pool, it gets very windy which is out of their control but the lifeguards are so extra, no blow up toys for the kids even the only two people in the pool, myself being one, an adult supervising, telling me to put both armbands on my child when she can swim I just leave one on for my peace of mind. It’s an infinity pool so I get the no blow ups but they need bigger signs to be clear as two families we spoke to went out and bought lilos to be told no you can’t use them. We have just returned from a 4 night break at the Buendia and we loved it! The apartment was perfect. It was modern, well equipped, bed was comfy….. loved it. The whole complex has a chilled, laid back vibe. We had breakfast included and it was fantastic. Our apartment (220) was in a great position. Approximately 10 steps to the restaurant and bar and another 10 to the pool area. We can’t wait to return ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We stayed for a week at the beginning January. We booked with JET2 and hired a car to pick up at the airport, which was great. I had asked before we arrived at the parking facilities and was told there was plenty of on street parking. We got there really easily and found a parking space right next to the entrance (there are plenty available). We were welcomed with a drink and a friendly Erica gave us our keys and explained all about the accommodation. We had 2 bed duplex apartment with direct access to the pool. The apartment was very clean and comfy and had all the equipment needed for us to self cater, massive fridge. The beds were really comfy the shower fab and there is plenty storage. The towels were lovely and large. There are pool towels in the apartment which is super. We visited the pool straight away, it was a little chilly, but warmed up as the week went on. The kids had a pulled pork sandwich and nutella crepes from the pool snack bar which were tasty and good value for money. The accommodation is very quiet, which suits us perfectly we were feet away from the bar and heard no noise at all. It is a 5 minute walk from the nearest supermarket and about a 7 minute one to the old town which is lovely in the evening with lots of restaurants and bars that you can sit at and listen to the singing and entertainment in the square. The accommodation has a central courtyard where our apartment patio faced into. If I stayed again I would request to be on the other side (rooms in the 100s) as these had the sun, our apartment was in the shade all the time and there is quite a dew in the winter in Fuerteventura and this made everywhere not in the sun quite wet downstairs. The bedrooms were in the sun which made them a little hot, but there is a ceiling fan in the main bedroom which rectified this. As my son was sick while we there the reception staff gave us a plug in fan to keep him cool, which was great of them. The staff here clearly love their jobs they are always happy, greet everyone and always busy cleaning. They are very helpful, polite efficient and kind. Especially Erica and Serena, who asked about how my son was and gave me helpful advice. There is a laundrette facility here too which is brilliant. The washer is 6 euros and takes 25 minutes and the drier (should you need it as there is a large airer in the apartment) is 4 euros. Couple of things to note - 1) Rubbish, you will need to dispose of yourselves, there are some small recycling units in the grounds but the main area is just outside the hotel in the council bins, but be careful here as there is a lot of broken glass. I found it quite difficult, you are encouraged to recycle and I did want to but the bins are not labelled well and they are not emptied regularly. This may be something that Buendia may want to address with their local authorities? 2) In the apartment there are some dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid a tea towel and a coupe of cloths include

The staff make you feel valued and were very welcoming .the 2 bedroom apartment with rooftop terrace was excellent very well equipped and very comfortable and clean ,the pool area very well taken care of comfortable sun beds

Second time here for Christmas. Staff are all very helpful and really friendly. Breakfast is good value and the hot dishes are cooked to order, the lunch time menu is also very good and not overly priced. This year we booked a roof terrace which we loved. 5minute walk to music square bars restaurants etc We will be back.

Words can’t describe how perfect this holiday was. I would recommend staying here to anyone. I can’t wait to return in 2025. Firstly the staff are so friendly & helpful always have a smile on their faces. The apartment was fully equipped with near enough everything you needed. We were so impressed with it. The pool area was so quiet and relaxing

Having never visited the island before, I stumbled upon this quirky hotel on an Internet search and was so pleased I did. From the minute we arrived, we were warmly greeted with a glass of fizz, which was lovely. The rooms were great and well equipped. Coffee machines, microwave oven, double hob, fridge freezer, beach towels, tea towel, washing up liquid, everything we needed. We booked a pool view ground floor terrace so the teens could come and go and it was perfect for us. The pool area was absolutely fantastic. Comfortable loungers, and a really chilled vibe. Lifeguard was lovely and aways said hello. No rush for loungers- we always got one around 10.30-11. Food in the pool bar was tasty. We didn't book breakfast but it looked nice. We loved the meet and greet on Monday evening. Staff were all so lovely and the singer was great. My husband and I used the gym most days which was well equipped and free which was great! On cloudy days, the pool table and table football were enjoyed by the teens, again lovely that it was free. Location is great. 5 minute walk to supermarket and 10 minutes to the beach. We ate in town/by the beach every evening. So many restaurants to choose from. I would not hesitate to book again, in fact we're already planning our next visit. Quirky hotel, lovely staff, great location to walk to the Old Town. We loved it and highly recommend. Also very reasonably priced. Heated pool. We loved the fresh breakfast and they also cook you an English if you want. Great position to walk to The Music Square and bars and restaurants in the old town. Swami Bar on the Seafront is my favourite bar ever!

A brilliant stay ..apartments were modern and fully equipped .A great quiet location only a couple of minutes walk into the old town.The Buendia staff were really good and knowledgeable of the local area ,and so very helpful , will definitely be returning .
