Corcreggan Millhouse Lodge

I stayed in the railway rooms recently with my two children who were delighted with this fun and quirky accommodation. The beds were so comfortable and bedding was of a hotel standard. Behind the railway rooms there is a large comfortable and cosy living area, complete with living room, dining area and well kitted out kitchen with huge gas oven. Everything was absolutely spotless and showers were piping hot. Corcreggan Mill is beautiful, with accommodation suitable for all as there are self contained apartments and even a B&B. We really enjoyed the honesty bar with some excellent live music provided from some talented local musicians. If you are looking for a fun place to take the family, this place will not disappoint. The staff are friendly and always on hand if you need anything and it’s a short drive or taxi ride to a lively Dunfanaghy where there’s always something happening. This is an easy 5 stars from me. Looking forward to our next adventure in Corcreggan Mill!

Superb campsite. Travelled all over Ireland in my motor home and this place is one of the very best. Individual tarmac places with water and electric hook up. Toilet, shower and camp lounge/kitchen. Beautiful country side just outside Dunfanaghy and stunning Tramore Beach. Five star !

Just back from a fabulous few days away with the family and 🐕 stayed in a bell tent. For a family of five the tent was very spacious, lovely boho decor and the extra details really elevated the camping experience, from the electric blanket on the double, mats on floor, bedside lights and good quality clean and cosy bedding all made for a very comfortable stay. The shared kitchen facilities allow for easy self catering, with every utensil you might need, shared fridge and large cooker, as well as outside bbq area. The grounds are tranquil, with a beautiful meandering stream and quiet area to sit, enjoy listening to the water and contemplate. Solar lights at night just added to the atmosphere. Lots of nooks and crannies to explore, games net for kids/adults. All topped off with wonderful music and smores by the campfire on Friday night, what more could you want. Any staff we met were super helpful and friendly and it was lovely to chat to travellers from all over Europe. If you're looking to enjoy some peaceful rural rustic charm, this is the place for you. We will enjoy another visit next year!

I'm on my mums phone, me and my parents have just stayed in your amazing b&b it's such a relaxing wonderful place for all ages ,everything has clearly been thought through thoroughly there's lots of beautiful places to relax ,I even made a few friends! , I would highly highly recommend the staff are amazing and hard working everything from the breakfast too the views were all perfect I can't put into words how much I love the place ,from oisin

You always hope to find hidden treasures on your doorstep- well this is one of them ! Wanting to have a few nights away with the kids plus dog, we booked into Corgreggan Mill- what a gem ! A tranquil, relaxing setting with a quirky array of accommodation options we chose to stay in one of the beautifully equipped Bell Tents- although there was the railway carriage, boat, bed and breakfast or lodge rooms to choose from. The hosts were devine, as were all the staff. We were fortunate to stay over on a Friday night when traditional musicians were playing, duly supported in singing and music by local families and other quests- Ireland in its prime ! We cooked on BBQs on site as well as in the communal kitchen- perfect for hikers or bike packers not wanting to carry much cooking gear. I'll certainly be back, likely several times, with the kids, and maybe even a sneaky bike packing trip too ! Wishing all the team at the Mill every success in the future.

This review is about our motorhome stay. First I’d like to point out that nowhere on the website or booking form does it ask the length of your motorhome. That would have helped. Secondly the number of toilets/ showers are hopelessly inadequate for so many people, camping, glamping etc. In the showers the water was scalding and dangerous. We booked a stay for two nights and were allocated pitch no.5 before arrival. We were told that it was self-check in. When we arrived we could see that the pitch was not designed for our camper (length 6.5m) as it was at an angle and surrounded by two short walls. I went into the reception as told and the receptionist came out to have a look. She admitted that the pitch was for a 5m max campervan. She told us off because we hadn’t said. She volunteered to manouver it for us (as she had plenty of experience). Not sure that was a good idea from insurance viewpoint for a start. At that time the other pitches were nearly empty. Could we go into one of the other ones? No was the answer, but we could ask the others to swap. So we had to try to park somehow without hitting the walls. And we had to use levelling ramps. I have to say though that for views that was the best spot! The pitch next to ours remained empty that night and the next night there were five or six WV campers on site. The next day was quite busy and we had lots of cars, other campers driving up, and turning around. Maybe they were looking for parking. Not very restful.

We just want to thank you for the wonderful experience we had last weekend during our stay at Corcreggan Mill. The Mill, the Railway Carriages, the Stream, the Gardens, the Boat, the Camping areas and the Main House and how it's all divided up is a beautiful, magical setting. The detailed touches, such as the flame-like night-light torches, the flora, the trees adds to the beauty of the place. The peace and tranquility, the birdsong , all added to a wonderful experience. We really experienced a very warm welcome, and even enjoyed our chats with other visitors during our stay. We are definitely coming back for another stay in the near future. Had the most amazing short break with my boyfriend staying in The Kiln House. Stunning ground floor apartment, beautifully presented with the fire lit on arrival and a lovely little reception tray too. Everything there including fully equipped kitchen, throws, electric blanket, hairdryer etc. The site is available to all, families, solo travellers, couples. There are loads of options, you can stay in the main house, glamping tents, a boat house, railway carriageways or your own camper too. There are social areas which are well maintained or there are quieter areas for reflection and peace. The flow of the river through the site was simply gorgeous! The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was fabulous and only 5mins in a taxi to the village where there are a number of pubs and eateries to choose from. You are on the Wild Atlantic Way and we visited other coastal areas suggested by the host which were just breathtaking! Would absolutely recommend Corcreggan Mill and will definitely be back…might even bring the kids the next time lol!

What a setting for a relaxing getaway with your loved one. Having stayed in the bell tents and house with my kids I thought it was time to take my girlfriend to this fantastic parts of the world. We stayed in the apartment this time (absolutely amazingly finished inside and out) The site is so relaxing, great base for beaches, friendly pubs and restaurants and the staff and owners are amazingly friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of day to day life either with or without the kids.
