Ulasan Dali Jinze Xiaoyuan Inn (Dali Ancient City South Gate)

I had the pleasure of staying at the Dali Jinze Xiaoyuan Inn (Dali Ancient City South Gate), and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The inn’s location is ideal—just a short 5-minute walk from the South Gate of Dali Ancient City, making it extremely convenient for exploring the bustling pedestrian streets and local attractions. Despite being so close to the heart of the city, the inn offers a peaceful and quiet retreat. The rooms were modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. I particularly appreciated the intelligent features like the automatic heated toilets, blackout curtains, and sensor night lights. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic, and there was always plenty of hot water, temperature is just right which added to the comfort after a long day of sightseeing. What really made the stay exceptional was the hospitality of the host and staff. They went above and beyond to ensure my trip was memorable, offering valuable tips on local attractions, dining options, and even helping with transportation arrangements. Their warm and friendly demeanor made me feel right at home. I’ll never forget the relaxing evening spent chatting with the host over a cup of Chinese tea. The inn is also close to a charming vegetable market and a street filled with delicious local food options, which made dining out and picking up fresh produce incredibly easy. Overall, Dali Jinze Xiaoyuan Inn is the perfect combination of convenience, comfort, and outstanding service from the host Xiao Liang.

We love the spacious room and smart room system. Everything was great about the stay. They borrowed us a scooter for us to travel around Dali. We faced some issues with the scooter and then went above and beyond to help us with it, making sure that everything went well. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a place to stay in Dali!

Disappointed with this homestay as we reached quite late at night be informed that the room type we booked not available as the guest last night extended, we been changed to another SAME PRICE of room which for us are not same as the one we booked is bigger & come with tatami tea area, the one we got is smaller seems to be DOWNGRADED. We back to the room after meal saw there is new guest checking in for the room that we booked...

Although the hotel is situated in an obscured location like a back lane, there was a strategically located sign (in Chinese) which our Di-Di driver spotted. Otherwise, it would have been a wild goose chase because the exact location was difficult to pinpoint. As we arrived late in the evening, the friendly lady boss was waiting anxiously for us. Location wise it's great since lots of food stalls and restaurants are closed by.

Room is a bit small, but location is good for those who want some quiet away from the main street. Plenty of food options nearby.

Friendly host. Close proximity to the old town and bus terminal (if considering to take the bus to Lijiang)

Highly Recommend! Location: near to ancient town, around 500m walking distance, just right in front the 南门市场. Driver or taxi can pick up easily. Service: the host is very friendly and provide us some travel info. She also help us to book car to Lijiang, make sure we get into the car. There is one night, we chat with her about 2hr, she made Chinese tea for us. Cleanliness: super clean, just newly opened last year. The host will asked us if need to clean everyday or where to clean and improve. Size of the room is also quite big. Although don’t have lift, which is quite common at that area. But the host helped us to bring up the luggage to our room.

Hotel is in an excellent location. Accessible by didi as well. Very clean room and hospitable host!

Good value overall,female boss is helpful

The room is very nice and clean, they provide cleaning everyday. And the owner is friendly, she recommended a lot of restaurants that we are able to eat like local. Xiaoyuan is very close to South Gate, walking distance / 6 mins to Gucheng, and there is a market right in front of xiaoyuan. I would go back to this place again.
