Almost aggressive and insisted on £10 for checking in 20 mins earlier. Expect you to check in no earlier than 3pm on the day ...which is ridiculous very very grabby...I decided to buy food and exteS in the town as I felt like premier inn want gonna get any more of my cash

Hotel is fine, the parking situation is not. Beware that you need coins to pay for the car park (£8 for 24 hours), they claim you can also pay online but it’s like a bunker with no signal. Also payment must be made within 5 minutes of them capturing you on ANPR camera or you’ll get a £100 fine. We won’t be returning to this PI whilst the hotel car park is controlled by Excel Parking thieves.

The mattress was old and tired we had an awful nights sleep . We used to love Premier Inn but will not be returning again. We are not overweight but we were rolling in to the middle. The Hypnos mattresses were great but these are cheap and soft and after the worst nights sleep we can remember we will not be using Premier again.

Our annual visit, as always this premier inn never disappoints, very clean, great friendly staff, we were booked in for meal deals which are worth every penny, Tiffany was a little star going all out to look after us throughout, Amber the chef cooked our food to our liking, thank you again for a great stay.

The hotel was lovely and clean, the staff were friendly and the rooms were lovely and spacious. The beds and pillows were outstanding, so much so we have ordered a new mattress from their suppliers. We had 10 rooms in total in our group and everyone was happy with their rooms.

It started well at check in with smiles and our room was clean apart from a small stain on one towel but the toilet caddy was almost empty we did get some more from a receptionist but its not cool having to ask. Appreciated the night bar service at 1am. After unbroken sleep in a good bed an early breakfast was held up by staff talking across the buffet making specific ordering difficult. Tiffiny was helpful with the carpark code on check in

An excellent place to stay. Very central location and although parking was changed separately I felt it was worth the extra expense. The bedtoom was spacious, clean warm. The king size bed was very comfortable, with snug duvet and pillows. I must mention the wonderful service in the Thyme restaurant from Tiffany who went above and beyond helpful, can't thank her enough

We have stayed at Premier Inn Darlington town centre in the past and found it to be comfortable and in a great location. We have family in the area so were stopping overnight to visit them and to break up our trip to Scarborough

Stayed here in August with my son who has autism. Staff are engaging and went above and beyond I never once mentioned his ASD but was so pleased with the way he was treated and engaged with rather than spoken through or patronised which we have experienced at other hotels. Rooms are clean and fully equipped with tea and coffee with refills at reception. Food is good value for money and fantastic range and quality. Hotel is walking distance from both train station and town which suited us well.
