Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Lansing, MI

Upon arrival, all was good. Cute, cozy lobby, friendly front desk clerk. Enter room, all was good -mini of mini fridges but that was ok. Comfy beds. Bathroom sparkling clean! Pull out sofa, HORRIBLE! So much dust, dirt, popcorn seeds, bottle caps, etc. Scrunched kids in bed with us instead. Breakfast was the norm. Not bad. Not well lit & one bedside light had no bulb in it. Not a big deal but the rather large dust bunnies moving around every time the heat kicked on wasn't impressive. Room service/cleaning... 3rd day, knocked on our door 1hr & 10 min. before normal checkout time (we had confirmed a late checkout & had do not disturb sign on door) we opened it & she said, "You check out?" We told her we'd confirmed late checkout. She looked at some papers, nodded & said, "ah." & smiled. 1/2 before our checkout, she (same woman) knocked very loud several times. When I opened it I had to yell to get her attention as she kept walking down the hall and I asked if she knocked. She said, "Yes. You check out." Pool was freezing - kids didn't mind, I did & it needed cleaning. Woman working breakfast was very sweet. All front desk staff were great except one young man who never even looked at us & said no more than one word sentences. He had zero people skills.

So they said that they had a pool (Broken). Said it was a smoke free hotel (lies). The shower was cold water wouldn't get warm. Window broken like someone thrown a rock and hit it. Bed is very old and has yellow stains. White sheats have blood on them. The walls have splatters on them of god know what. O and you trip over the carpet at your door.

The room was clean and well maintained. The pillows were flat and the bed was stiff, but it served its purpose as a place to sleep before a show the next day. Would stay again, but I'd take my own pillow.

The pool was closed Bed was years old Blow dryer didn't work, when we went to the desk for one that worked ,we were told they couldn't get one until after 10:30 am , we need to be to our meeting at 10, which was a hour away. Asked a guest to use there's, not good customer service. Very fun down hotel not worth 104.00

+ 2 bedrooms with doors +large middle living area +large fridge +accurate thermastat +comfy bed +free cookies every night -old gum and stains on carpet -old sticky residue in tub to prevent slipping

Hotel was clean; breakfast had nice selection. Bathroom could have used updates. Pool was closed, we were not able to use. Communication via texts was appreciated.

My experience at the Country Inn and Suites in Lansing needs to be put on blast.Had to go to the bathroom after my travels, toilet paper floating in toilet I flushed, I go to the bathroom.. toilet will not flush. I take the lid off the toilet, mess with the mechanism and get it to flush. This had to be done each time I had to flush. TV damaged and screen is pointing downward so I have to use my coat and a Kleenex box to prop it up. There was some sort of disgusting ICK in the bedskirt, woke up to a spider in the ceiling above my head,no regular coffee in my room, had to get dressed to go get a cup of coffee. Took a shower, needed to blow dry my hair,dryer doesn’t work. Get dressed, head to the front desk, she tells me she has to get one from the 3rd floor. She shows up at my door and hands me a box with a new blow dryer. She doesn’t take it out and dispose of the box, just hands it to me like “Here’s that dryer you asked for”. But folks, here is the worst. I, a woman, was traveling alone. I left for a while. I was probably gone 3-4 hours. I intentionally left my DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. I didn’t want anyone in my room, I didn't need towels, I didn’t need the bed made. I approach my door, it is propped open with the arm of the lock,I enter slowly, say Hello, no response. Search the room, bed made,trash gone. Go to front desk, employee goes to my room. He says “housekeeping must have left it open”!I was pissed.I could have been cleaned out,$ taken or worse! Do better!

I had mostly an average stay. The bed was comfy and the amenities were as expected. My overall complaint was with the WiFi - it could be sluggish on my tablet while neither my personal nor work computer would connect. I used my phone as a hotspot for most of the stay.

The place was wonderful for the price! I was pleasantly surprised. The Staff were nice and helpful. I will make this a place to stay while visiting Lansing.
