Ulasan Once Upon a Time in Meili

Could not eat the breakfast. It was totally western - dairy products, fried egg and meat. Very bright lights all night outside. Adjacent to main road, but not very busy. English name written very small, Chinese name is 梅里往事 Pinyin name is meili wangshi. Room nice and warm, balcony, great view, but better from a couple of hotels further down the road. Binoculars in the room was a very nice touch. Directly opposite the focal point of the town (viewing platform and area where the bus terminates).

This hotel offers a great location to view the Meili Snow Mountains during the morning golden peak and also sunset (if you're lucky with the weather conditions). It is right next to the bus stop, which means it is very convenient if you are planning to catch an early morning bus (in our case). Rooms can be a bit pricey, but we know that we are essentially paying for the view. The food at the hotel is also tasty, I didn't need to go and look anywhere else for dinner and breakfast. I appreciated the great help that was provided by a staff named Xiao Wei. We arrived at the hotel when it was raining and wasn't expecting to see any mountain range in sight, but then the sky suddenly cleared up during the evening just shortly before sunset whilst we were having dinner and Xiao Wei came over to tell us to go and have a look at the snow mountain, which made our hearts rushed with joy. We also appreciated when Xiao Wei told us again during night time that the mountain range was visible so we quickly opened the curtain to treat ourselves with another fantastic view. The viewing platform on the top floor is a great location to see the sunrise and golden peak. I personally think it's even better viewing at the Feilai Temple platform that most tourists go to. On a final note, Xiao Wei again was very kind to help us by going to the bus platform at 8.30 AM in the morning to help us purchase the bus tickets from the driver (we couldn't do so as wechat pay didn't work for us). We were very happy with our stay here and got very lucky with some of the best views during our entire Yunnan trip. Thank you very much to Xiao Wei and the staff at Once Upon A Time in Meili :)

Location was optimal as we were able to see the Meili Snow Mountain through the balcony from our room, as well as going to the 5th floor viewing area. Fantastic accommodation with good views, good breakfast and they also provided binoculars in the room for the views. Staff were friendly and also helped to moved our luggage to our room using their cargo lift, overall a very comfortable stay 😃

location is best, you can cast sun rise ay hotel level 5, heating is enough and you won't feel cold when sleep or wash. only issue is no elevator, so pick low level rooms would be easier.

The accommodation is located across the road from the bus terminal (less then 3mins walk). It is simple, clean and comes with a balcony facing the Meili mountains. A simple breakfast was also served during the stay (after 7.30am) and there was sufficient time to catch the early bus for any journey onwards (e.g. 8am bus to Ninong Village for hike to Yubeng). Out of convenience, we also had dinner at the restaurant which serves nice Chinese food.

Very satisfied with the hotel service,location and cleanliness! The hotel is right infront of the Mei Li mountain and customers are allowed to go to the rooftop to take pics.

Great stay, great view from balcony to see the Meili mountain sunrise and sunset, although there is no lift but the staff will carry the luggages for you no matter how heavy is it, bravo! Superwomen!! Breakfast is nice too!!!

Excellent location to see the golden sunrise, from the room or from the hotel rooftop terrace. Simple good breakfast. Room is spacious and clean.

This hotel offers the best view of Kawa Karpo in the Felaisi area. You can even admire the mountains right from your bed. The modern, clean rooms are well-equipped with everything you might need, including a telescope for stunning scenery up close. The staff was exceptionally friendly, and I especially want to express my sincere gratitude to a female receptionist whose name, unfortunately, I didn’t catch. As non-Chinese speakers, we needed assistance to catch a bus to Ninong. She not only escorted us to the bus stop but also spoke to the driver to ensure we got seats. As the bus passed by, she stood at the hotel door, waving goodbye—a gesture that truly touched us.

The hotel staff were so friendly and helpful, we had big luggage and they helped us carried it to and from our room in the 3rd floor. The breakfast provided was awesome as well. We were there for the view of Meili Snow Mountains and it is definitely very convenient staying in this hotel as the viewing platform is just opposite (less than 5 minutes walk). Highly recommended!

Hotel location is good, walking distance to viewing platform for meili mountain and bus back to 香格里拉

We choose this hotel because of good review and location. Hotel room with Meili Snow Mountain View. However, we prefer go to the level 5 with better view without going out. The hotel provide good breakfast and also tea time. Very clean and comfortable to stay.

Very good view to see Mei Li Snow Mountain from the hotel room. Super convenient. Hotel is not new but keep in good conditions. Foods are good.
