Our 4th visit to the Maldives and 1st to the island . In summary, gorgeous beaches - probably the best we’ve had Small island which you can walk around in less than 10 minutes. Staff all lovely and seem happy and motivated - always a good sign. House reef ok- it s a bit of a swim walk to edge of reef but plenty of fish. Not the best reef we have snorkelled but enough for a nice daily snorkel. Sadly snorkelling from water villas is just dead coral or sand - so that’s more of a nice swim. Rooms lovely. We had over water villa sunrise side. Would probably choose sunset next time as afternoon sun is preferable for us. Some water villas have pools. Others liked that but it’s not something we would pay extra for when you have turquoise sea lapping at the villa ! Beach villas also popular - we didn’t hear anyone complaining about rooms . From arrival at mad Male airport to the time we left, everything was smooth and effortless - just like holidays should be. Faisal the resort manager was always around and joined with activities. Mary the host was fantastic and attentive. The waiting staff at the restaurant took great care of us - Nu nu, Nitin, and many more. The food was good and catered to a broad clientele, fewer English than I have experienced before but was great to mix with so many nationalities and try different foods. The only pieces of constructive feedback I would share are as follows : Restaurant salad bar is plentiful but not easy to access, maybe consider relocating it or having an island to walk around for salads . Seen that work well in the past. It saves queuing. Dive centre - hiring snorkel equipment and returning daily was a bit frustrating. I realise it makes it easier to have less stock but it does mean you have to remember to return by 5.30 and if you have kit that works well, you want to use that again, not risk having to return non functioning snorkel or mask, which we did twice. But these are minor suggestions… If you are thinking about islands in this budget range- don’t hesitate - it’s certainly one we would return to and we don’t generally go back , .
