Lots to love but room for a few improvements. The biggest is the doors on the rooms. They are heavy wooden doors and slam really loud. As you can imagine that’s quite annoying when people go in and out waking people up Bathroom door rotten at bottom from damp, needs replaced, looks awful. Cleaning under sinks and taps in bathrooms, the things you see when you sit in the bath!! Painting of the room could be a bit tidier, white paint all over grey radiator pipes. Cleaners could be a bit more gentler when hoovering, they batter the radiator pipes in the rooms and it vibrates to the room your in , next door! Out of stock of some flavours for cocktails, young staff seen with mobile phones very casually. Move out of sight, the customer / service are important Food is expensive for the quality you get too

Generally acceptable and clean hotel. However, I was almost tricked by being given a room that’s “HALF-CUT” by the rooftop. Essentially an attic (picture 1) at first. There are actually plenty of normal empty rooms being cleaned as I could see walking to the elevator. I asked the front desk if I could be re-arranged and they gave me another room. Pretty bad experience as I felt discriminated and tricked for unknown reason. I asked a fellow customer who checked in around the same day and he didn’t get allocated the attic room.

First the good. The place is very nice, clean and well appointed. Beds are comfy, curtains block the sun which is important in summer when it’s light out til 10 and the sunrise is at 5. Very modern, pleasant bar/lobby. Hotel smells lovely. Lobby has fruit water for guests. Showers are nice- although weird. The wall behind the glass is peeling but it’s sealed in so it’s fine. Hotel is close to the rail, a short walk. Now the challenges. While the staff was trying their best, this place has poor organization. You sit down to eat at the restaurant and if you don’t tell them to come take your order they may not. We did that, still sat for 20 minutes before someone came to take our order, took it, brought our drinks and then returned to say the kitchen had stopped taking orders because a large group was coming down in 10 minutes and the oven was too small. They told us we had to wait 1 hour 45 minutes for our meals. They refused to serve us, despite traveling with an elderly person who could not easily walk around the block to find another meal. We had to leave in search of food. This is despite having asked the day before if we needed to book our meal. We were emphatically told no, even though they had clearly already booked the other large group for a meal, and the kitchen could not service more people. This is what I mean my poorly organized. The kitchen had not communicated with the staff, so they gave the wrong information. Also, despite checking ahead several times and being told we could sleep 3 in one of the rooms, when we arrived we learned we could not. We were traveling with our son, making this difficult. Then, we took a third room but they booked it far from the other. We then discovered our third room had adjoining doors- so we asked to move my son to the adjoining room. They did, but that’s something they should have known and arranged first. There is just little thought on customer service here. Overall would not stay here again.

The place was nice and the staff very friendly. Good breakfast. The rooms had modern decor and complimentary snacks. The only downside was the toilet flush and the poor light in the shower.

Zum Wandern ist die Lage ideal! Vom Bahnhof ist es zwar ein Stück aber meines Wissens besteht die Möglichkeit vom Hotel gebracht zu werden. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es war ein angenehmer Aufenthalt mit allem was es braucht. Es war sauber, nur teilweise waren Dinge etwas in die Jahre gekommen was allerdings nicht weiter schlimm war in Anbetracht des Preises.

What a fantastic hotel! The location is perfect - right in the centre of Inverness! We needed an early check in and the staff promptly attended our request. The bed is 5*, the washroom is also 5* level! Great experience and will definitely return on my next visit to Scotland and the Highlands!

This was a return trip to Inverness. We decided to stay with SYHA - what a great place to stay! Helpful staff, comfy beds, well equipped self cater kitchen. Yes it's a little bit of a walk from the middle of Inverness, but a very comfortable stay.

A lovely hotel within an easy walk to downtown Portree. Rooms are arranged over 2 floors with the second floor having the better views. Even though we were on the first floor, our room was very quiet. The room was less spacious than we expected from seeing the pictures online, but it was adequate. Very little space to hang any clothes and more drawers would have been appreciated. However, the bathroom was lovely with a large walk-in shower. Service was very attentive whenever we needed anything. Would definitely recommend staying here when in the area. The Chargrill Restaurant is wonderful, too. We opted to have breakfast included in our reservation and are so glad we did. Every morning we were served a delicious, full breakfast from some of the nicest and most professional servers on The Isle of Skye. We also ate (2) dinners here and they were both delicious. Both of us are vegans and Chargrill had delicious vegan offerings. Wise to make reservations early for both breakfast and dinner.

來天空島一定要住這個酒店！風景和位置是全島最好的！！！強推！！！沖就完了！！！ 面朝大海和雪山！還要什麼自行車！太美了！美哭了！這個景色接近西藏的林芝波密地區的松贊哈！ 早餐更是面朝雪山，早餐是點單式的，挺好的，推薦蘇格蘭全早餐，酒店房間也很好！沒什麼可挑的，旺季才兩三千吧，要是淡季一千多實在太划算了！這裏適合多待幾天。 酒店樓下入口處有個停車場，那邊有個公園小門進去可以沿海徒步一圈6英里，非常值得户外愛好者去徒步，超級美！！！ 酒店房間裏面就跟攜程的圖一摸一樣。 酒店有拖鞋！在歐洲也不多見。洗澡水還不錯！ 整體很推薦！ 如果來天空島，一定要住這家翠廉山！ 建議天亮的時候到，小路拐彎上山找酒店晚上會看不太清楚導航，白天好很多！

Good hotel but, for their regular double room, over priced. The Glen Mhor is basically a collection of former B&B establishments which have been taken over and redeveloped. This means that the majority of rooms are in neighbouring buildings so a bit of a walk is involved! I have stayed here before and each time found myself in a small double room. They are clean, well decorated and fine for an overnight stay. On the downside, they tend to be so small that there is no room for a chair or workspace. This time around we opted for the breakfast package. The restaurant was right at the opposite end of the complex but the walk along to it was pleasant. The breakfast itself was excellent. Staff were incredibly attentive and the range of food on offer was very good. Would I stay again? That would depend on the package on offer. I wouldn't opt for a 'room only' given the small size - there are plenty Premier Inns around which, to be fair, are of an equal, if not higher standard to the standard double rooms at Glen Mhor. Location is excellent for the city centre and depending when you travel, there is plenty parking available.

Can't leave proper review as made a genuine mistake with booking ...had entered wrong dates....was visiting my dad in hospital so had to rebook another hotel very quickly ,so never got any refund at all not even partial refund so lost all the money paid for hotel and breakfast ...

We had a great stay. Our room was on the ground d floor and had a great space. Decor was a bit dated but very comfortable, and the bathroom has definitely been upgraded and a great size. Breakfast is buffet style and was nice and fresh - prompt service - good quality produce also - so good I cleared my plate! Car park was completely full so had to wait a while until a space became available

The location is excellent, with easy access to many parts of this walkable city. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and let us know that we could pre-arrange buffet breakfast on a day by day basis at a reduced rate. They were also helpful with pre-arranging taxis when needed. The restaurant had a lovely view and excellent service. The pool was very nice (and pretty large for a hotel pool) and the hot-tub was an added bonus.

We were looking for accommodation in the Lochaber area as a base for a kayaking weekend, and Corran bunkhouse fit the bill perfectly. Everything is good quality, and the rooms are clean and functional - ours had a nice ensuite too. There is a large common room with comfy seating and a log burner which was a nice place to relax, but we usually ended up sitting in the communal dining kitchen. The kitchen had everything you could need to make from snacks to big meals, and there was plenty of food storage and fridge space. Plenty of space to sit and eat too. A really big plus was the two drying rooms, one off the kitchen which had a dehumidifier, and another outside, which allowed lots of wet gear to be dried quickly - a real bonus if you're there for a few days. The owner Alan couldn't be more helpful, and gave us tips on the best places to eat wherever we were going. I can thoroughly recommend getting the ferry over to Ardgour to the pub for food. A minute from the bunkhouse, its free for foot passengers, the crossing takes about 5 minutes, and is a nice way to go to dinner. Overall i cant recommend the place highly enough. A modern, clean and enjoyable place to spend a night or two.

When I got to the hotel, I was asked to pay a little bit more than what was advised by trip.com, but every penny was worth it! Location is great, staff are very friendly and welcoming, the room was absolutely fantastic, and the full Scottish breakfast was generous and tasty. The only disappointment was I couldn't get a bath because the bathtub obturating plug didn't work properly. However, the overall experience was good. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay at Toravaig. Our room was lovely, with perhaps the comfiest bed of our entire Scotland stay. The view out of our window was pretty, with a ***** of the ocean being visible above the trees. The desk clerk Casper was friendly and welcoming. It was pleasant sitting in the lounge with a drink one evening and chatting with him. Our only issue was that no one had told us that we needed to leave our key at the desk in order to have our room cleaned, so it was disappointing after our first night to return to a room with an unmade bed and wet towels (and housekeeping gone for the day)--so be aware that you need to leave your key when you leave, and all will be well! We ate dinner one night at the sister hotel, Duisdale, and it was an exceptional meal. Try the panna cotta for dessert! Also highly recommend a visit to the Armadale castle and the museum and acres of lovely gardens with the huge variety of enormous old trees.

Remember- you are in a desolate area of Scotland. This location and cabins really help you get back to the beauty of Skye. The detached cabins are small but very nice. Then you head down to the main lodge. Such a great full made-to-order breakfast ( best we had in Scotland) Their dinners are so good and well prepared. You will not be disappointed. Their bar is excellent. The best part is their staff. I want to mention , Lola at the front desk. What a gem of a person !

Skeabost Hotel is the kind of place you want to stay for the duration of your time on the Isle of Skye. From the beautiful setting, elegance of the interior and warmth of the staff, it is a perfect launch point to explore the Isle. After a long day out and about, ending with a drink by the fire, book in hand is priceless. We will definitely be back on our next visit to the Isle of Skye.

Amazing location and lovely room. The view of the bay is outstanding and one of the best sun sets I've seen in a long time. Breakfast was perfect although the volume of the death metal music coming out of the kitchen was a bit much at 8am. But would definitely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at Duisdale House Hotel. Our room was comfortable and very accommodating. The dining room food and service were excellent and the staff really stand out. Special thanks to Sarah, Neal, Laura, Clara, Dominic, Ishbel, and the young dark-haired man who assisted waiting on our table but whose name we didn’t confirm. I can’t recall a hotel where the staff is so well cross-trained on various roles - it’s truly impressive. If you’re planning to be on the Isle of Skye and need a relaxing place to stay, you will love this place.
