This Premier Inn hotel was more affordable (but still expensive being Edinburgh) as it was further out from the city centre and located on a main road. It was, however, well connected by quick bus routes and closer to the east side of Holyroyd park - ideal if you want to attend Holyroyd parkrun as I did. The room was small, but had a good sized bathroom and the bed was comfortable. The view from my window was of rooftops so not great, and there was a noisy boiler in the wall, which didn't bother me, but would others. There was a Beefeater attached providing breakfast and otehr meals, but I did not eat here as I had a bad experience waiting over 15 minutes to be seated at dinner. It was fine for a one night stay, although was fairly basic and more suburban, so I would recommend staying closer to the centre if you wanted something more convenient and to experience more of Edinburgh.
