Rincón del Calafate

Small hotel on the outskirts of El Calafate about 10-15 mins walk from downtown. Rooms tiny and not well appointed. No fridge, no kettle nor soft drinks in room also no TV. Breakfasts ok, nice coffee and juices. Hotel has tiny expensive bar but no dinner service. Room was constantly very hot and reception unable to turn down heating and could only lend us a huge noisy fan to help. Fortunately we were on the ground floor but hotel has no lift so difficult for those staying upstairs. The walls were paper thin so noisy neighbours a problem one night. I would not recommend staying here except in depths of winter with little luggage!

For the first 3 mornings the water would randomly turn off, and i'd be left without any water. After multiple complaints each morning was this finally resolved. The lack of heating control per room was also difficult to bare as it meant switching between an open and closed window

This hotel was chosen for me by Exoticca. It is of a Lodge style, and it’s rustic interior is in perfect harmony with a rugged Patagonian nature around it. The room was clean and had everything you need while exploring the outdoors. The staff is absolutely wonderful, whether at the restaurant, reception or a cleaning team. Very warm and helpful. The restaurant only serves breakfast and sandwiches later in the day. The hotel is on the outskirts of El Calafate, about 20-30 minutes away. Charming little town with lots of lovey restaurants and shops. A nice pastry shop-cafe is 5 minutes away from the hotel, on the corner, just as you turn left towards the town and a mini supermarket opposite the cafe. I travelled solo and stayed three nights at the hotel. People in El Calafate are very friendly and I felt totally safe to explore the town and coming to the hotel late- ish in the evenings. Dogs are part of the town and I found it delightful. If you allow, they will accompany you around. Very friendly company!

The hotel is poorly kept and dirty. The area is very unpleasant to walk

No a good place if u looking to stay inmersed in the culture is too far from town and the area is super dirty and not pleasant. This place is good for someone their is alone and have rental car.

Fuimos en familia. El hotel tiene buenas instalaciones, es limpio, prolijo y la atención es excelente por parte del personal. No queda lejos del centro (10 minutos a pie). Lo unico que creo se podría mejorar es que fuimos en familia con chicos, y nos alquilaron habitaciones separadas, que quedaban lejos una de la otra, por lo que tuvimos que dividirnos con mi marido para que quede un adulto en cada habitacion, y no queden los chicos solos lejos nuestro. No es una queja, quiza fue por un tema de disponibilidad, pero recomiendo que si van en familia, averigüen bien ese detalle antes de reservar. Otro tema a mejorar es el menu del bar...es muy bueno pero solo ofrece meriendas, no tiene alternativa de cena.

Maravillosa la atención recibida . Un lugar muy cálido, lindo y confortable. Todo siempre impecable. El personal muy amable y siempre con excelente predisposición para todo. Es lo que más se destaca. El desayuno super completo y variado.

Es un hotel muy limpio y bonito, Braian en la recepcion super atento y amable, la habitacion muy adecuada, lo unico que hay que dejar las ventanas abiertas porque entonces hace mucho calor, pero en general la experiencia en calafate y el hotel fue de mucho agrado.

bueno hotel, excelente servicio, desayuno muy rico, pero no tiene la mejor ubicación, está como a 10minutos caminando de la avenida principal
