這個價格在整個歐洲都算很便宜的了。 房間非常乾淨，雖然靠近火車站，但是附近很清凈。酒店的前台小哥服務態度非常好。不過房間的空間不算太大，衛生間比較小。

Eine neue, gute Adresse. Die Gegebenheiten sind von solider, gehobener Qualität, der Stil des Hotels entspricht heutigem Standard. Bemerkenswert gut funktionieren die Lifts, bemerkenswert zugewandt ist die gesamte Rezeption. Die Preise sind fair, bei sorgfältiger Wahl auch günstig. Nicht ganz so günstig erscheint die Anordnung der Frühstücksräume. Ein großer Vorzug ist es dagegen, dass es im Haus einen Durchgang zu einem Fitness-Studio und einer Bar gibt, wo man auch spätabends und nachts noch Getränke findet, und obendrein auch den einen oder anderen Bissen. Ich bin eine gebürtige Essenerin und kenne deshalb das Hotel schon ewig. Die Lage ist zentral, gegenüber vom Hauptbahnhof und mitten in der Stadt. Die Zimmer sind je nach Kategorie geräumig. Ich finde es toll, das man die Fenster öffnen kann. Auch die Betten sind bequem. Frühstück gegen Aufpreis, dort gibt es allerdings Verbesserungspotential. Trotzdem 100% Empfehlung

Had a great stay in Moxy Essen from 11/06/2023 – 14/06/2023. I was travelling around the Rhine Ruhr region with my friend (and we both have Marriott Gold elite status from staying in a Marriott for university). This hotel was in a great location right next to the HBF station in Essen and was clean and modern. The bar had a good vibe and we had free drinks on arrival. We used points for this stay, and the way that the points worked out meant that we had 2 different bookings over 3 nights, but this was not an issue and we managed to get the same room for the duration of our stay (we even got a bonus welcome drink for it)! I’m probably not going to do the hotel justice here, but it was a well laid out and stylish hotel with decent sized rooms. We had a twin room to share and the staff made extra effort so that we were on the quieter side of the building. We initially checked into the hotel at approximately 2pm, but decided to spend the afternoon in Wuppertal. When we arrived back on the first night. I had a shower, and there was no shampoo. No big deal, but I ended up going down to reception to ask for some. The man couldn’t find any shampoo, but about half an hour later, some appeared, I think he probably brought I from the shop as it wasn’t in the normal bright pink Moxy bottle, but it was really nice of him to make the effort. That day, the weather hit 32 degrees and whilst we were waiting for the shampoo, we tried to work out how the air conditioning worked. Between me and my friend that I was travelling with, we couldn’t work it out, so we asked the employee. However, between the 3 of us and Google we could not work it out. Anyway, I think we were the only people in the hotel that night as this was approximately midnight local time, and I think we went in every room in the corridor. To try and find one with working air con. All of them were empty! We eventually found one that wasn’t like a sauna and packed our stuff and moved. The employee was genuinely the nicest and most helpful employee I think I have ever seen in a hotel, very apologetic, but also very sociable. It was really nice to meet him as he was so happy to help. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name, but he had a ponytail I think and said he was Turkish. I think he will know who we are when he reads this! I saw him off duty in the bar the next night and thanked him. We even got 2 free breakfasts out of this!! The breakfast was good, though probably not worth the price we were told when we booked (I think it was about 15 euros but can’t remember as I have stayed in about 5 hotels in the past week and they have all rolled into one a bit). There was a few cooked items (Bacon & Scrambled Egg) and a few cold/ cereal items, but not loads. I probably wouldn’t recommend getting breakfast as all the Moxys allow a free coffee/ juice in the morning and a pastry, which is a nice touch. Prima Standort, um Essen zu erkunden - Folkwang-Museum, Ausgehmeile Rü und die Innenstadt in Laufweite, und andere Destinationen gut mit den Öffis zu erreichen. Praktisch: Parkplätze für 14 Euro/Tag direkt am Haus. Zimmer okay, vielleicht ein bisschen bemüht hip, aber das kann ja altersbedingte Geschmackssache sein. Extrapunkte für das supernette, superfixe, super engagierte Team am Empfang!

I stayed here for a month whilst working in Essen. Receptionist friendly helpful and spoke excellent English. I was upgraded to an executive room, which was dated but clean and spacious and included a fridge. I was thankful for the air conditioning as the weather was hot at the time of my stay but would have preferred a sheet instead of the thick quilt. Breakfast was the standard offering but a rip off at €21 - you get a far better and cheaper breakfast at similar hotels. There’s a bar and an evening menu but this wasn’t always open however when it was the barman was great to have a chat with and get some local knowledge. There’s power sockets by the bedsides and WiFi was good. Location is good being just a 5 min walk to the underwhelming and disappointing city centre. It’s also only a 5 min walk to the metro which offers great value and for a fee of €9, gets you anywhere, although this was during a summer promotion. As a resident you get access to a gym across the road. The house keeping was at times quite poor with surfaces not wiped down. Overall a convenient place to stay but in need of modernisation which I think is a possibility in the future.

Always a good stay. Sometimes, during the night a little bit noisy, but is nothing. Next to the city centre, next to a shopping center, next to good restaurants, free parking in a garage and in the street... What else :)

Nice new hotel. Staff (and the dog) was great. Heating in the new building seems to be a problem. Breakfast was great, room also.

Viel Schatten, wenig Licht es gibt in diesem Hotel zwei verschiedene Kategorien: Standard und Superior wir hatten Superior gebucht. Am Samstag bei Anreise wurden wir sofort gebeten, die Zimmerrechnung zu bezahlen. Das ist ungewöhnlich, aber ok. Als wir dann das Zimmer betraten, stellen wir fest, dass wir eine falsche Kategorie bekommen hatten. Also zurück zur Rezeption. Die junge Dame war völlig überfordert und bestätigte, dass wir ein Standardzimmer bekommen hatten und kein Superior. Sie holte sich Hilfe bei Herrn F. Welche Funktion er hat, wissen wir nicht. er hat sich nicht vorgestellt. Allerdings schaute er in den Computer und sagte, dass er jetzt am Samstag Abend nichts mehr tun könne, das Hotel sei ausgebucht. Als Kompensation und Entschädigung würde er uns für den folgenden Morgen zum Frühstück einladen, und ein Zimmerwechsel am nächsten Tag. Mehr könne er für uns nicht tun. Damit war das Gespräch für ihn beendet und wandte sich wieder seiner Restaurantkasse zu. Nach unserer Auffassung ist dieses Verhalten Betrug. Er hatte unser Geld schon kassiert. Für 2 Nächte Superior Zimmer! Am nächsten Morgen sprachen wir dann mit einer netten Kollegin an der Rezeption. Frau M. war im Gegensatz zu ihrem Kollegen kompetent und handlungswillig. Sie organisierte den Zimmerwechsel, erstattete den zuviel bezahlten Superioraufschlag und eine Kompensation für die gestörte Nachtruhe. Der Unterschied zwischen Standard und Superior ist die Lage: Hauptverkehrsstrasse und Innenhof. und wir hatten ausdrücklich Innenhof bestellt. Nach der positiven Überraschung an der Rezeption der zweite Schock: das Frühstück. Das Hotel wird durch die Lage zum Musical vornehmlich von Busgruppen frequentiert. Wir hatten uns schon erst zu 10 Uhr für das Frühstück vorbereitett, um dem Ansturm der Busgruppen aus dem Weg zu gehen. Aber es war eine Katastrophe! Die drei Servicekräfte waren heillos überfordert. Schlachtfeld trifft es wohl am Besten. und keiner der Mitarbeiter war in der Lage etwas Ordnung in das Chaos zu bringen. Wenn Sie irgendwie können, suchen Sie sich ein anderes Hotel! Und wenn Sie es schon nicht vermeiden können, dann buchen Sie unbedingt Superior. Erstens ist an Schlaf bei Zimmern der Standardkategorie zur Strassenseite nicht zu denken und zweitens finden Sie dort eine Einrichtung, die wohl noch aus dem 70er Jahren stammt. Die Superiorzimmer sind zur ruhigen Hofseite und sehen aus, als wenn sie in den 90er Jahren mal renoviert wurden. (auch schon 30 Jahre her....) Selbst die Nähe zum Musicaltheater macht es nicht erträglicher. Das Musical selbst ist auch nach 30 Jahren immer noch eine Reise wert!

When we checked in; 1 agent checked us in while the other 2 just stared at us like we were aliens. One of them had a smirk on their face throughout my check-in, I wanted to ask what she thought was so funny with us checking into the hotel but I didn’t want to spoil the evening. They all started laughing when we left the checkin desk. Know that we are non-European. Very unwelcoming and unprofessional. I suggest cultural diversity training. The beds were disgusting! Small strips of hair all over the fitted sheet. The Most Disgusting was the pee stain on the sheets! The bed smelled like piss too. It was supposed to be non-smoking but someone had been smoking in the room or the insulation/vent systems need more work. I didn’t want to deal with the unprofessional front desk staff so I suffered through the uncleanliness and just put 2 towels on top of the duvet just to feel at ease sleeping, even though we were only there for one night…Thank God I didn’t book for longer. The only positive was breakfast; it was adequate for 1 night stay. Definitely won’t be spending another dime here.
