Martelli 6 Suite & Apartments

Location is second to none. Room was good and spacious, clean and had all that we needed. Reception staff polite and helpful, Only daily service / cleaning was not done, no coffee refilling, no tidying up or towel replacements (or asking if we needed) hence 4 not 5 stars. But overall a good stay.

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights... lovely place comfortable beds spacious rooms very very clean ... bathroom big enough too... staff on arrival and throughout our stay we're friendly and good English... this hotel/apar**ent is very central to everything... which is a big bonus.... if we go back to florence we will stay here again...

Our room was spacious and clean enough. The furniture was very basic and sp****. There were no bathroom amenities except for hand soap. The street outside was quite noisy. Our biggest issue was that the air conditioner did not work properly. It blew out air but was not very cold. The room felt pretty warm after a while of letting it cool and even after two of their technicians looked at it.

The location is excellent and the room is very clean and quiet. Beds were big and comfy. It’s very basic, so if you’re looking for a boutique-y vibe or somewhere a bit fancy, probably not the best. Worked out well for us since we literally used it to sleep and shower. Only negative was our shower was super small and flooded everytime.

I stayed in October, as part of a mother-daughter trip through Italy. Although the room was clean and comfortable for our 3-night stay, it was located in a mezzanine only accessed by using the emergency stairs. As my mother is over 70 and has a minor back problem, we asked several times to be moved to a different room: the front desk never accommodated this request. The bathroom also presented some issues; the shower only maintains hot water for about 5 minutes (we had to wait an hour in between showers) and there was a persistent smell of sewer that reeked into the room. On the day we left there was no one to help us with our luggage, and the front office lady told us to ask the cleaning staff to give us a hand climbing up the stairs with our suitcases. As we weren’t able to find them, and we had a train to catch, I had to do it myself which ended up hurting my back. Even though the location is fantastic, just steps from the Duomo, museums, and shops, I wouldn’t come back to this establishment. If you already made a reservation and you have any mobility limitations, my suggestion would be to make sure not to be sent to the mezzanine rooms as they are a pain to deal with.

Martelli apar**ents was an excellent place to stay in Florence. Very friendly staff. The bonus with this location is they have someone staffing the desk from morning until mid-evening which made us less anxious on our late arrival. Very close to all the main highlights and only a 20 minute walk from the train station. Rooms were clean and spacious with all the necessary amenities.

Location and room were both excellent - this place is a few steps away from the magnificent cathedral and all the cafes, restaurant, shops and general buzz, so you really are very central. The one drawback is that at night there is music and/or singing in the street right below and when the volume is cranked up, the double glazed windows are little use in mitigating the noise - you have no choice but to be part of the audience. But as the receptionist said, "this is Italy ..."

Excellent location with all major attractions within walking distance. Clean modern apar**ents with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Friendly welcome at front desk with a smooth process ensuring you get a good start to your visit

Great location, right next to the Duomo. Restaurant next door is delicious. Near laundry. Great apar**ent. Friendly and helpful desk and cleaning staff. A good find! Plenty of restaurants nearby. Central walking distance to everything.
