A beautiful hotel that is not your typical high rise hotel, but more of a large estate. Beautiful grounds and the rooms are well appointed. We had stayed here 5 years ago and enjoyed ourselves so we decided to return, with our daughter. Since there were 3 of us, we booked the Superior Triple Room which turned out to be a sleeper sofa on the first floor and narrow steps leading to the bed upstairs. I wasn't expecting this from the pictures on the website because if I had seen this room, I would not have booked it. The air conditioning was fine on the first floor, however, there was no air making it upstairs so it was hot up there. Beds and pillows were comfortable. There was no TV guide, so you had to scroll through each channel to see what was on each channel. The restaurant was very nice, as was the bar, however, they are very understaffed as it seems to be common all over. There was one waiter in the restaurant to handle about 10 tables, so there was a delay in getting your order. My daughter ordered her beef fillet medium well - it came out rare. We asked the waiter to have them cook it longer, he took it, but we never got it back. When leaving, he apologized about never getting it back to her, that was fine, a minor slip up. The next night that same waiter was working the bar and I joked with him that he does everything, nice guy. People should know that the hotel is outside of Florence, and you either take the shuttle for 7.50 Euro, or a taxi (which will cost about 25 - 30 euros each way. You will NOT walk to anywhere from this hotel, however it is a very relaxing location.

Colazione sia dolce che salata molto varia e buona. CONTRO : Siamo stati spostati dalla camera 108 perché abbiamo comunicato che non riuscivamo a sentire il riscaldamento della stessa,alla 105. Entrambi erano carine e curate. Purtroppo la 105 aveva spazi leggermente meno confortevoli in bagno. Le foto della recensione appartengono alla 108.

Super nice hotel. We stayed in a classic room which was a bit small but tastefully decorated. Small kettle in the room with several tea options was a nice touch. The room window has a wooden door that when closing it, it totally blocks the light from outside. I loved it! The view from our room was of green hills and a small field of olive trees. So beautiful and so peaceful! The room, the bathroom and the all hotel area were spotless clean. I have stayed in hotels were sometimes the room is a bit dusty or the bathroom’s utensils are with spots, but in Villa Neroli it was totally the opposite, their cleaning standard were higher than usual. My only advice for improvement for the hotel is to fill the room with more bathroom supplies like body lotion, shower cap and soft tissue. There weren’t any of them and I needed to go to reception and ask for supply. Breakfast- really liked everything that was offered. All products were fresh and of high quality. The bread, the coffee, the amazing fruit salad, the yogurts and everything else were very good. There was even a corner with carrots, pineapple and ginger to prepare fresh juice and a self service pancake machine. Location- the hotel isn’t located in the center of Florence but it is about a 10-15 minutes drive from the center. Since I came with my car it was perfect for me. The hotel has an outdoor free parking, which was extremely convenient . The neighborhood o the hotel is a residential one. It doesn’t have the lively atmosphere of Florence center, but I didn’t mind about it and suited me perfectly. Last but no least I want to note highly the lovely staff of the reception. What a team! Always polite, helpful and genuinely nice. I liked them a lot. Thank you for making my stay a pleasant and memorable.

Firstly, this a beautiful villa and the room and all areas are gorgeous. The spa area is lovely and we enjoyed this two different days. The reception is always manned and staff are responsive and the WhatsApp options is good although we didn’t end up using this. The spa and transfer service are by reservation only, the transfer can only hold 8 at a time and we were unable to use it on one occasion as it was fully booked, it also does not return from town after around 7pm at night, a taxi takes around 10mins if that and cost us €25. The pool area is nice, although half of the sun beds are in shade for the morning and the other half later on the afternoon but this didn’t really bother us too much. The air conditioning was not very strong and we didn’t seem to be able to control it ourselves although there is a panel in the room. The room was a good size, nicely decorated and the cleaners came in everyday and tidied. For me I mark this as an average score because it is rated 5* and higher price but we found the service at another hotel earlier in our trip to be more attentive. One day at the pool we were offered drinks as we relaxed but the other pool day we were not and had to go inside to find staff, which is fine but didn’t feel 5* compared to the other place. The food is highly priced, we had a €15 euro ham and cheese toastie and chips one day which was nice enough but very overpriced. Another day we had the club sandwich which had a little more to it and again was nice but at €25 again overpriced. We also had an issue where we asked multiple times about arrangements to get to Pisa airport and specifically mentioned it being Pisa and not Florence airport, we were told this would be around €70 from two different staff members and although we were unsure because of the taxi we got from town for ten mins being €25 we assumed we had been done over in the evening as we had jumped in a taxi just to get home, and went with this option to get to the airport however when we got in the taxi we we’re told the staff had told them Florence airport and this would actually be €170 to Pisa, we were left with no option as we were literally in the taxi and had to be at the airport. An honest mistake/ mis-communication but we did check various times that it was Pisa airport they were quoting for, and if we hadn’t checked ourselves in the taxi we’d of ended up at the wrong place. Again an added service from other places we’ve been in the past but I am just holding it against the 5* rating and it really could have landed us in a very tough position.

My wife and I enjoyed our vacation in Florence, and staying at Matteo's welcoming and cozy place was part of this wonderful experience. We booked the Family/Deluxe room directly through their website, which made it convenient to communicate with the host to ask about the room choice, arrival process, etc. through WhatsApp in real-time. The room on the second floor was spacious and very quiet (the latter was particularly important since we are both light sleepers). The Villa was within walking distance of the Florence Historical Center, a nice 25-30 min stroll to the main attractions. Matteo took his time to give us an overview of the city and recommendations about museums, historical landmarks, and restaurants (including those off the beaten path). We also took a day trip to Siena and Mateo helped a great deal to plan the itineraries including what to see on the way to Siena and where to stop for dinner. It was also nice to interact with other B&B guests during daily breakfasts, served by David who spoke several languages and was kind and attentive to all questions and requests. Since there is so much left to see in Florence and nearby towns, and if we come back to Florence, we will definitely stay at this B&B place again.
