Hotel berhampiran Tomasini Francia (Florence Ponte Vecchio 48) di Florence

We arrived at the hotel pretty late as we were travelling from Rome. Gabriele was pretty prompt and sent us all the necessary information ahead of our arrival as the reception service was until 3pm on Sunday. The room was surprisingly nice and clean, and indeed exceeded our expectation. Even though for just a night I thought this was a pretty good one. Nearby hotel has a nice pasta restaurant Al Peposo, just need to walk about 10 mins. Day time you can just walk towards town areas, you won’t get bored with the surroundings.

We stayed for 3 nights in April, the Hotel was clean, convenient, quiet and comfortable. The staff were lovely without exception. Everyone from the front desk to the breakfast staff and room service were friendly and helpful making us feel very welcome. Our room was at the rear of the hotel (204) with a balcony which was a pleasant surprise. The view was nothing special as it overlooked the rear of other properties but it was nice and comfortable and very quite. There is a Spa that you can book for your exclusive use. This is sometimes included in your deal but otherwise is 25 euros each for 50 minutes and well worth it. The view from the roof top is superb and you can get a drink from the reception bar and take it up there or even take your own bottle of wine! Breakfast centres mainly on pastries, fruits and meats. There is a “hot” option of eggs and bacon but is only ever warm at best. However, the pastries are very nice and more than enough available. It also has to be the most convenient trip I have ever experienced from Airport to hotel! Exit the airport turn left and walk to the tram stop about a minute away. Take the T2 tram to UNITA and get off at Rosselli. That’s it!, it takes about 20 minutes and when the t4am leave you will be facing the hotel. It cost 1.50 euros each. You can buy the tickets on the tram platform but I would visit the shop Hudson as others have mentioned on here and get them there as there can be a queue to get your ticket on the platform. Don’t forget to slide it into the machine to validate it when you board. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk for the “Dome” in the centre and about 25 minutes to the bridges on the river. There are some excellent restaurants such as Casa Ciabattini and Osteria Vecchio Cancellous within 6/7 minute walk both of which I would highly recommend. I would not hesitate to return.

What a friendly and clean hotel! Convenient, excellent continental breakfast (even included eggs!), and superb staff to help with everything. Miguele, at the front desk was especially helpful with our entire 3 day stay. Parking was a big bonus, not usually included in this price range.

I would like to recommend to stay in this hotel

The worst Hilton. First of all, the second day I arrived the hotel had no service because they were doing work. What kind of a hotel does service and shuts down everything while guests are there?! Second of all, most of the staff and one of the bartenders are very rude. They do not want to help you. They are angry. This is supposed to be a business in hospitality. This hotel is quite the opposite of everything hospitality means. Third, when asking for full service on your room sometimes they do it and you have to keep reminding them. Fourth, someone was smoking in one of the rooms and every single guest is alerted of with an alarm in their rooms which I get if it was an actual fire. They have no business center with a computer which is unheard of. Everything in your room is controlled by your key card. Lights, electricity, everything. The ac is awful. It’s freezing and you cannot control it. It’s super hot outside and then an ice chest in your room. You can get sick in that environment. The showers have mold in the cracks. You can’t even ask them simple things like when if the bar open for coffee without being yelled at. They have a condescending bar tender who stresses out and yells at you claiming there is only one of him. That’s false. There are 2-3 others and he acts like he is working in a real bar. He’s not a bartender. In the states the bartenders are super busy and yet, they continue to have smiles on their faces and accommodate what you want. This is the worst hotel I have ever been to and will never go again. They charge for everything. No complimentary coffee and just overall rudeness. In the middle of nowhere. The toilets don’t work. Their coffee machine in the room is not a coffee machine. It’s a water machine that heats up water and they don’t tell you anywhere that you need to turn it off after 2 minutes. So if you stay here, turn it off after two minutes or else it will spill all over. I will do my research next time on hotels and will not fly into Florence next time.

Where to start…. This hotel has everything. The staff are wonderful and so helpful, (thank you to Daniel & Dave especially). The location gives the guests a spectacular view of Florence and beyond and is on a bus route that takes you down into the city in around 10 minutes. The rooms are spacious, clean and have a small kitchen with fridge which means you can cater for yourselves if you wish although the restaurant food is delicious so there really is no need. The pool is lovely and there are plenty of sun loungers to relax on. We will definitely visit again We hope to visit again

Really like this hotel! The amenities are great and there are shuttle bus for travel destinations. The restaurant inside the hotel area is also cheap and nice.

Thank you :) Our experience at the hotel was great. In many ways this hotel was ideal for us, it wasn't right in the city center where all the noise is, but it was close enough to it (about half an hour's walk to the train station with a suitcase and bags). The hotel staff was excellent, very kind and respectful with lots of good and efficient advice. The room was spacious enough and clean and we didn't lack anything. One weak point was for us and it was the bed which was a double bed but, it was connected by two mattresses, and an air conditioner that worked but made a lot of noise. In conclusion, if you don't mind walking to the city center (I strongly recommend everyone to walk and not use public transport, there is a lot to see on the way :) ) And you are looking for the hotel staff to be nice, polite, experienced, know the surroundings and know how to give you tips, this is the hotel check for you. This is an excellent option to stay near Florence. It is 10 minute waking from a train station. The hotel super clean and it is to the American standards. We arrived at 11:30 pm at the Prato train station because of the floods in Bologna with no taxis in site and the guy from the front desk when the extra mile and when to get us in the station SUPER SERVICE!… the experience with this hotel was excellent… I fully recommend it since the hotels in Florence are a lot more expensive

I made a booking and payment through the application Booking.com for a night. Upon checking-in, the lady on the front desk told me that there is no reservation under my name. I showed her the copy of the payment I did and the email of confirmation I received. After 10 minutes of checking their system, she apologized and told me there was something wrong with their computer. I should have read well all the reviews and not just looked at the 4 ⭐ label this hotel have because the establishment is already old. There was even a leak on the lobby where the staff just put a couple of white towels. When we entered our rooms and bathrooms, we did not expect them to be in such conditions. The hotel definitely needs proper maintenance. The walls are dirty and stained. Along the corridor the paint and the cabinets are old. The ceiling of the bathroom has bars, but you can see the rust/mold accumulated. When we went to the bar for the breakfast (which was also included in my booking), the server told me that we do not have the breakfast included. I was about to go to the front desk when the same lady apologized and told me that yes we can do the buffet. We paid very low for one night that is why we were not expecting much from the said buffet..croissant and coffee to heaten our tummies will do good. The good side we noticed is with regards to the staff. They all seem of the same age (nearly 60s). It is possible that they've been working in the hotel for many years meaning the management is good..just need to pay some attention to the maintenance of their establishment. Thank you!
