Clean and comfy accommodation. Good location. Highly recommend

Great location in this very small town, can walk anywhere within a few minutes. Staff is friendly, nice and knowledgeable. Large common space for cooking/chilling. Nice sauna open from 6-9pm. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Only downside is that they put a man in my 2 beds dorm and that felt uncomfortable. Also the wifi was not really working properly. I would still go back, but maybe in a 4 beds female dorm instead.

This place is good except the shared bathrooms. We took a master bedroom but it is very tight. Not much room.

The environment and hygiene are both good. There's a USB-C charging port by the bed, which is very convenient.

We booked 2 king room ensuite however on arrival was assigned a king room without ensuite. Reception claimed system did not showed our booking with ensuite. Was re-assigned king room with ensuite after much deliberation. Bed was hard not comfortable. Common lounge was crowded.

Like all Haka Houses it was lovely, the staff were great and the bed was comfortable!

Haka bed is super comfortable. The room was okay, the kitchen was clean. Location is good. Parking space was abit small but it's alright.

Nothing to write home about ! Clean convenient small rooms and decent kitchen / living room. I have not doubt it is the brand vision and it’s executed well. Understaffed at peak weekend check in ; entry check in area too small for all the people waiting to check in . I would move all the unnecessary furniture in that small area and hire a 2nd person for park checkins. There is a kiosk but you can’t even get to it when the reception area is full of people queuing ! Maybe some CX re thinking to do . Room was not clean at all when it was assigned. It happens I guess when hostel busy and only 1 staff on. Outdoor area needs work ! It’s summer and could not enjoy any of it . Franz Josef destination overall not worry stopping at; Fox glacier much nicer .

Loved my stay at the Haka House. Spacious kitchen and hangout area made it perfect for a rainy day in Franz Josef.

Everything was good, the only issue was with the plugpoints in the bathroom. We connected the hairdryer to a few plugpoints but some didn't work.
