Very well located beside train station, however is quite an old hotel without proper maintenance, sauna and swimming pool area with many water poddle and slippery , the sauna room have good potential if well maintained, room is very dim, have problem with first room at lvl 4 with dirty water from shower, get change to lvl 2

513 ist ein Eckzimmer. Nur ab morgens und abends, nachts steht das Personal auf dem Balkon neben 513 schnattert, raucht ( obwohl das ganze Hotel rauchfrei sein soll), hängt an den Handys, ein kommen und gehen, als gebe es auf der 5.Etage keine Hotelgäste. Später haben wir vom Personal erfahrern, dass dies ”ihre” Raucherecke/Pausenbalkon sei. Ein Unding oder ein Witz. 2 grosser Minuspunkt: im Frühstücksraum mussten tatsächlich Hotelgäste an der EINZIGEN Kaffeemaschine warten, weil sich Küchenpersonal mit Kaffee versorgten. Nichts gegen Gleichstellung aber zuerst kommt der zahlende Gast, dann der Rest. Hotel selber - Checkin sehr freundlich, der junge Mann war sehr informativ. Eindruck Zimmer, siehe Fotos. Betten, Kissen Bad gut. Türfenster wirklich schmutzig. Staub wischen war in den drei Tagen kein Thema. Keine Stange oder Haken im Bad um 2.nasse Badetuch auf zu hängen. Alles wirkt schmuddelig, besonders Teppiche und das überall. Auf der Münsterseite am Weekend ab 1uhr nachts bis früh morgen Lärm durch Partygänger und Besoffene. Frühstück: Empfang. Nach ein paar Minuten kam eine absolut unmotivierte junge Dame daher geschlichen. ...Ganzes Frühstücks-Personal nicht sehr effizient, eher das Gegenteil. In den 3 Tagen immer wieder Nachfüllprobleme bei Buffet, Tische bleiben eine gefühlte Ewigkeit unabgeräumt. Selten so ineffizientes Personal bei der Arbeit gesehen. Ware allsamt nicht aus dem Gastgewerbe. Brot war jeden Tag nach 50 Minuten schon zu wenig. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, es würde gerade ”frisch gebacken”....! Nur eine Kaffeemaschine für ca. 80 Sitzplätze. Und die Leerläufe des Personal tun richtig weh. So wie's aussieht, haben Handy und rauchen bei denen einen höheren Stellenwert als Gäste des Mercures...Das Hotel hat nur einen Vorteil und das ist die Lage. Für uns waren drei Tage knapp akzeptabel, länger nein.

This is a lovely, comfortable, and extremely quiet hotel on a hill on the outskirts of Freiburg. Both the elevation, the absence of sidewalks, and the distance mean you cannot practically speaking walk to town from the hotel -- but you can get there easily by car or, I suppose, mountain bike if you're a truly athletic type. And yet it's a lovely choice for those who want access both to Freiburg and also to the Black Forest. It was EXTREMELY quiet, in the best way -- the rooms next to mine were occupied, but I could not hear a single running faucet, television show, or conversation. I only knew I had neighbors when we stepped onto our adjoining balconies at the same time. The view over the city is beautiful. I woke up every morning to the sound of birdsong -- and there are a LOT of birds in the surrounding woods. I didn't have the breakfast, but based on a truly marvelous bowl of soup I had one night when I returned to the hotel hungry, I would guess the restaurant is wonderful.

We were in Freiburg for vacation and a lot of the other hotels were really expensive. This hotel was reasonably priced, so we booked four rooms between 2 families, and I am glad we did. The hotel was nice and clean, and fairly close to some restaurants and a train station that can take you to the down town area. What made this hotel a great stay was the staff. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and helpful. They almost all spoke English well and interacted in a very positive way. If we are in the area again, we will stay here.

My stay at Central Hotel Freiburg was extremely pleasant, the rooms are clean and all staff are very friendly and helpful, starting from the receptionists at the desk who always welcome you with a big smile, up to the waiters at the restaurant and the generator, who was very kind during my late night check out. Central Hotel Freiburg, you make your guests feel like staying home, and there is noting better you can do.

Schönes Hotel mit allem nötigen für einen Kurztrip. Kaffee und Tee gab es gratis. Leider war die Dame beim vom Wochenende unfreundlich und erschwerte uns den Check-in. Wir hätten am liebsten sofort die Unterkunft storniert, was nicht möglich war. Alle anderen Mitarbeiter waren jedoch zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit und wir haben den Aufenthalt dennoch genießen können.

L'hotel si trova fuori dal centro abitato ma in una zona comunque piena di servizi, quindi non si è isolati. C'è un parcheggio sotterraneo molto utile per chi, come noi, arriva in macchina. L'utilizzo del parcheggio è libero. L'hotel dispone di una sauna e di parecchie sale private per conferenze, riunioni di lavoro, feste private. La stanza nella quale ho soggiornato con la mia famiglia era molto grande e aveva una grande vetrata con tapparella ad azionamento elettrico (ottimo per chi come me non dorme se non ha la tapparella completamente chiusa di notte). Nell'hotel regna la tranquillità e ciò è molto apprezzato di notte, poiché si riposa bene. Ci sono però degli aspetti migliorabili. Innanzitutto, sarà che forse la stanza non era utilizzata da tempo, ma c'erano dei ragni che camminavano sulle pareti (sono stati prontamente rimossi quando ho avvisato la reception). Il televisore è connesso via cavo ma prende solo una decina di canali in chiaro, inoltre è un televisore che non ha connettività di alcun genere, quindi, anche se sembrerebbero esserci Netflix e Prime, questi non sono utilizzabili. Non è un grande problema, però ci tengo ad essere chiaro. Infine il letto (nella mia stanza, ma non so nelle altre) è disposto in diagonale. Ad una prima occhiata mi sembrava un'idea originale e sembrava piacermi, poi di notte io e mia moglie ci siamo resi conto che, anche se può sembrare esagerata questa nostra reazione, il letto in diagonale ci ha effettivamente disturbato il sonno: ci sentivamo disorientati e i nostri corpi cercavano istintivamente di allinearsi alle pareti della stanza.

Perfectly fine business hotel well situated in Freiburg about 15 minutes walking from the train station through the old town to the city garden park. Everything was clean and people were nice. This I a very good hotel deserving of recommendation for business and family travelers. It is not a luxury place and the rooms are efficient and clean but do not include amenities like a fridge or a pot for making tea/coffee. There is a nice bar/restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and one can comfortably have a meal or a beer there. I did not have breakfast.
