Hotel Dengan Wifi di Shanxi, China

I dont often post reviews, but this hotel absolutely deserves all the positive ratings it gets! Firstly the location is excellent, just a stones throw from the main street. In fact the whole city is easily walkable but if you struggle with mobility there are several shuttle services. Secondly the value for money is incredible, the room felt luxurious and the central courtyard is very pretty, so for the price you really cannot complain. Thirdly, and arguably most importantly the hosts are absolute sweethearts. Even though I only stayed one night, they gave me a lift to and from the train station, as well as a free bottle of local vinegar! I seriously can't recommend this place enough!!

Impressive traditional style buildings. Convenient location, close to the pedestrian shopping streets. Friendly and welcoming staff. One of the first 5-star hotels, Shanxi Hotel certainly could benefit from better maintenance. The ceiling of the bathroom in our room has significant mould marks, and the door frame appeared to have cracked. One would wonder how these could escape maintenance inspections. The fitness room on the 11th floor certainly lacks use and the range and layout of what one would expect from a 5-star hotel. Despite the above, an overall pleasant stay.

We spent out last night of our trip at Kempinski Taiyuan, and it did not disappoint. The receptionist upgraded up to a room on a high floor with a view of the city. They also gave us fresh fruits and free minibar. They had everything you would expect of a five star hotel, and the location is in a bustling part of the city. Would definitely come back.

Lovely host. Always happy to help with anything. And of course an absolutely beautiful spot too. I loved the vibe of the guest house, and the rooms reflected that ancient feel too. Although because it’s so pretty there were so many people taking photoshoots while I was in the room, which was kinda weird as I could hear everything. The location was great as it was off the main roads whilst still being close enough. I loved my time here. Highly recommend!

This hotel is very large and clean. The rooms were very spacious. The only thing is that the heat is 'on' even if you lower the temperature to its lowest setting. Thankfully there was a window to open even though it was -6° outside. The buffet was great with lots of selections. The one & only restaurant for dinner was great. Their large Asian menu provided pictures of all the dishes. The staff in the restaurant was very friendly & helpful. The pool was nice and clean. There was even a lifeguard on duty. The hot tubs were separate in the men's & ladies' change rooms. The only issue was that the front desk staff was very limited with English and there were no concierge services. Other than that we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Location: near LinFenXi High Speed Rail Station 临汾西站(10mins drive/ 20mins by local public transport to LuoGuQiaoTou 锣鼓桥头站). Best is that they provide pick-up and drop-off at HSR station, just make a call 3 hours in advance. I dont have local number, so I email them in advance before my trip, they replied my email and provide me their WeChat number so I can make reservation for the pick-up service at the station. Many local tours have pick-up and drop-off service near the hotel (junction outside the hotel), easy and convenient. Services: warm and welcoming services. Tea and drinks in the lobby, luggage storage as well. Room: clean big room, big screen TV, mini bar fridge, bathrobe and comfy king bed. Lavender shower shampoo, hand soap and body lotion, make me feel so so much relax. Laundry: laundry machine are free of charge (washer and dryer). Laundry room provide ironing equipment, books, drink as well. Definitely not get bored. Otherwise, can use phone connect their website to make a reminder while the laundry have done (so convenient). Gym Room: just opposite and same level of laundry room. Treadmill are so new. Breakfast: varieties of choice. Before that I already crave for coffee since it is not so common to find espresso in the local breakfast restaurant. Salad bar, local meatball soup, noodles, dumplings, wantons, boiled egg, fried egg, fried tomato with egg and local cooked food. So many choice and so satisfying. However they dont have egg omelette, it is fine for me. I found that even though not staying at LinFen city centre, it is still fine to stay here as the traffic here is convenient. And here is more quiet and more relax👍 The only thing I dont like is, some customer smoking in the lift and hotel lobby (even though there is a sign in the lift to advice not to smoke), definitely affecting those unlike smoking smell and sick of cigarette smell like me.

非常新的一家酒店，家庭房是一個兩室兩衞的套房，入門有個小空間可以隔離兩間房私隱性蠻強的，就算是兩個家庭入住也互不幹擾。雖然入住的時候有點小插曲但前台及時解決了並且態度很禮貌熱情👍早餐種類很豐富，前台小食吧補充得也很及時，能處處感覺到細微的服務👍停車位充足，適合自駕出行的朋友們。健身房器械蠻齊全的，洗衣房配備了齊全的洗滌用品還有工作人員幫忙盯着洗衣進度👍 總的來説，非常推薦，臨汾華門美居讓我們一家對美居這個品牌留下了很好的印象

Lokasi dan layanan memang sempurna, cuma susun atur bilik agak tidak selesa. Sebaik sahaja masuk, terus nampak tandas dan bilik mandi, kurang privasi. Sarapan pagi pula, bagi hotel bertaraf lima bintang, kira biasa-biasa saja, tak banyak pilihan. Makanan ringan di executive lounge pula berkualiti, hari pertama kami terus makan di situ tak keluar makan malam pun. Hari kedua kami tak pergi dah, keluar cari makan.

Ive just left the Inn and on the train to the next destination. I wish I could stay longer as this was such a pleasant stay. The boss lady was so nice. I booked just a basic room but got upgraded to almost a studio flat with separate bedroom in the mezzanine and lounge downstairs. Everytime I come back from sightseeing, all hot tired, the boss lady gave me a bowl of delicious melons. It was sweet and juicy. The best melons I have had. The second time she also gave me bananas. It was so much needed. The hotel is in the perfect location. Thank you for a wonderful stay. 1. From Datongnan station there are buses 608 or 61 which takes you directly to Huayansi stop, less than 1min from the hotel. However, the hotel frontage is a jewelry shop, I didn't know so ended up walking up/down the street for 10mins before the boss lady realised and came out to tell me I have arrived. 2. If you want to go to Yungang Grottoes. From the same bus stop take bus 38, then change to bus 3 to get to the Grottoes. Journey time about an hour in total. And cost 4RMB (2RMB per bus). However, you have to set up some kind of public travel app from Wechat to get the QR code to pay the bus fare. I didn't know this. Fortunately, some nice people helped pay my fare, then another lovely girl helped set up the app enabling me to use the bus from then as when I arrived and took the bus from the train station to hotel Wechatpay didn't work. Fortunately the driver let me ride for free as I guess he realised Im foreign and don't have this app. Only when I took the bus to Yungang Grottoes, the girl told me I need to set up the travel app etc and helped me set it up. 3. The hotel is also right opposite to the Huayan temple. A beautiful ancient temple. Deffo can't be missed.
