Alexandros Studios

We travelled to Crete as a family of 5 (Kids 15, 13 and 9) and all loved Alexandros Studios. On arrival at the airport, Mike was there to pick us up and we found him to be very friendly from the start. Once we arrived at the resort, (late) we sat and ordered pizza and chatted poolside with him. The kids immediately loved the place. The pool is nearly always quiet, which means you can have a relaxing swim with plenty of sun loungers to choose from. The rooms are fantastic, each with a balcony offering sea view and are cleaned thoroughly every day. The buffet breakfast is a perfect selection of fruits, juices, breads, pastries and tea/coffee. My youngest daughter especially lived the ‘squeeze-your-own’ orange juice machine. Inka and Mike are both so friendly and very helpful and by the end of our stay we felt that we were saying goodbye people we knew, such is their genuine display of greek hospitality to all guests which was clear especially at breakfast time. The Studios are also perfectly located to visit the surrounding area. There is a regular bus into Chania from the bottom of the road (21) and you can buy tickets from the supermarket nearby. Coach excursions can all be arranged from the resort and coach pick up points are all on the main road which is a very short walk down hill. During our stay, we visited Balos/Gramvousa, Elfonisi, walked the Samaria Gorge, went to the waterpark and my son and I even went paragliding - all easily accessible from here. I love walking and so for those interested, you can follow the beaches to the Venetian Harbour in Chania which takes about an hour and it is exactly 4.7miles to the foot of the lighthouse. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alexandros Studios to anyone.

Mike & Inka are the most fantastic hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. They make you feel so very welcome. The apartments are large very clean and well equipped. The pool is lovely. Breakfast is plentiful. I cannot recommend place enough. Once you have been you will always want to return. The beaches nearby are lovely and there is access to buses nearby if you wish to explore. Thank you so very much for making our holiday so special.

Michael & Inka strive to make everyone feel like one of the family. The accommodation is excellent wth all the facilities you would expect and the pool is brilliant with a separate pool for little ones. The local area has many excellent tavernas and the local bus service to Chania is regular and inexpensive. Local Taxis are reasonably priced and from the bus station in Chania you can catch an extremely comfortable (and inexpensive) coach to most places on the Island. The variety of scenery, from beach to mountain is unrivalled anywhere and places worth a visit are Paleachora, Knossos, Rethymnon, Prevelli, and for the extremely fit - The Samaria Gorge to name but a few. I enjoy fishing and Michael has plenty of tackle for the angler to use whilst on holiday - at no extra cost!!!

Another lovely holiday at this hotel. Mike and Inka are the best hosts and look after you really well. Breakfast is varied and ample, something for everyone. Apartments are roomy, very clean and comfortable. Pool area very good and pool is lovely. Lots to explore in the area well worth a visit.

What a lovely, welcoming place. Mike and Inka are wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Our accommodation was first class with Vasso keeping the place clean every day to such a very high standard, nothing less than outstanding. Mini bar in the room was keenly priced and very affordable and pool area was very clean with plenty of loungers. Bar open all day with some great stories and anecdotes from Mike. We had such an amazing time and will be back.

Just had an amazing two weeks at the Alexandros apartments. Mike and Inka are the perfect hosts who go the extra mile to make sure your stay is perfect. Setting is lovely pretty gardens surround the pool and sunbeds. The rooms are spotless and cleaned everyday, bedding and towels are changed frequently. Breakfast is buffet and plentiful something for everybody.
