Hotel berhampiran Entré Botaniska trädgården, Gothenburg

I was staying on 8-9 september for 1 night. Facilities in the hotel are surprisingly good and the sauna was perfect. Room are nice and tidy. Toilets are a bit small but its clean and have everything you need. The breakfast have a wide range of selections with hot and cold plates. Specially appreciate Susanne, Iren & Andita showing us useful informations in the area by patiently answering our questions and showing exceptional Standard of customer service. Will be staying in the same hotel if I'm travelling to Sweden again.

We stayed in Pigalle Hotel Gothenburg for 2 nights The location of the hotel is very central and super close to the central station of Gothenburg ( about3 minutes walk), it is also close to tons of restaurants, cafes and a big shopping mall where you will find everything The reception when we first entered the Hotel did not meet our expectations, it was not that warm welcome and for a moment felt almost like self service, I thought it was bizarre for a 5 stars hotel to have average reception for their guests. Decoration of the hallway, the bar at ground floor, the entrance and even the stairs was surprisingly very vintage, romantic and outstanding design, overall it was charming and very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Even the room design, the wall paper and the bathroom were all of the same theme (vintage & romantic and it quite warm feeling) The bed was super comfy, we slept very well like bears so if you wanna have a great sleep they got the beds and pillows for it. Also the breakfast every morning was nothing short of delicious and the taste of everything was great and you can feel that they only use fresh & high quality ingredients, the methods of the cooking and preparations were very 5 stars indeed, and the service of the staff as well, they were very friendly and professional. Nevertheless the room we stayed at did not match the pictures on the hotel web page, it was not very spacious neither was the bathroom, and next to the bed both nightstands had stains on them, we were also not pleased with the cleanliness of the room nor the bathroom as there were so much chalky limescale deposits all over the bathroom floor. The closet in our room was sort of broken and need reparation as it was quite warn out, also it had very small space to hang our clothes and even less space for stuff because it had only 2 small shelves. No free coffee, nor tea and not even water in the room, quite disappointing for a 5 stars hotel, I honestly was upset as there were no trash cans in the room, there were just one in the bathroom and you need to walk there every time you had trash to throw. Also although we were couple, we only got 1 welcome package and even that was very basic. In Summary: The Hotel have a charming, vintage aesthetic and an unbeatable central location. However, the room quality fell short of expectations for a 5-star establishment, with cleanliness issues and a lack of amenities. The delicious breakfast and exceptional service of the staff helped redeem the experience.

We had a great stay here in Göteborg! Location is excellent, right by Central station and great access to restaurants and interest points. Hotel staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The photo is a view of Central Station when standing at the entrance to the hotel.

One of the nicest hotels I have stayed in for a while, especially for the price which is excellent value for a hotel in the heart of the city. Very close to the airport bus (100m) and walking distance to everywhere downtown. The staff were all smiling and very helpful, and special mention to the excellent buffet breakfast. The room was a very good size, as was the bathroom. Fairly fast wifi, and loved the unusual set of dumbells in every room for a quick workout!! Will definitely stay here again, and highly recommend.

Scandic Europa is the perfect location to stop if you ate going to a concert at the Ullevi stadium. Located right by the main station. The rooms were adequate and the breakfast excellent. We did have a couple of issues that were immediately sorted out so nothing negative to say. We left very early in the morning, Uber was on time and we were provided with breakfast boxes. Overall a very good choice.

It’s very rare you find a hotel that checks all the boxes but this is it for me. Had the friendliest welcome when arriving at a late hour. The check in was quick, easy and I was in my room in no time. I’d forgotten adapters for my electrical items, the hotel was like no problem. Turns out the rooms have USB and USB-C plugs in the rooms so was covered. Moving onto the room. I had the best sleep ever. Perfect climate control. Wonderful views to wake up to and just every little detail was just amazing. After a delicious breakfast (lots of choice, Swedish and international cuisine), I explored the hotel further, the gym looks really good (I didn’t use it… just told myself I should have) and they also had a sauna. Moving outside, the location. The freshest air ever (it was nice to breath there) and literally just over the water from the city centre. If you like to walk, it’s perfectly acceptable however as I travelled with people who don’t like to walk, the hotel directed us to a bus stop one minute away. Literally two stops later, you’re in the centre. The hotel pointed out the work being done on the water front. There’ll soon be the option of getting back and forth that way. Finally, the team. It’s clear that this hotel clearly has the customers at the heart of what they do. Everyone I spoke to was warm, friendly and open to sharing hints and tips to make our stay in Gothenburg magical. And it was… EVERYONE needs to visit this wonderful city. I’m already planning my next trip and I will definitely stay again at this hotel.

It was a quite wonderful experience to stay at First G hotel in terms of the following, I can actually say I have never gotten this kind of experience outside of Japan in my life. Their services with smiling faces, breakfast especially scrambled egg and a lot of line up of breads, convenient location to take almost all trams which will take you anywhere in Goteborg, finally entire performance per cost. My husband and I had a wonderful 15 night stay here over the holiday break in Dec/Jan. The staff were all so kind and made our time in Göteburg feel like home. Room - We booked a Deluxe Double Room to have an outside window (some rooms are off the interior atrium so have limited natural light). Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and soap provided were all high quality. Room had an iron, hair dryer, coffee (instant), tea, and we requested kitchen supplies (that we barely used because the hotel supplies so much food). We requested cleaning every 4 days through the front desk on the day before each time. We exchanged towels inbetween cleanings with housekeeping. Food - Coffee, tea, and water were always available and there is a bar beside the front desk to buy other drinks. Fika was a different sweet baked good each day. Breakfast had a cold section (croissants, bread, yogurt, cheese, deli meats, cereal, fruit), and a hot section (scrambled eggs, beans,  sausage, meatballs, bacon, hard boiled eggs, sometimes potatoes). Also lactose-free/ oat yogurt and milk and gluten free crackers, and biscuits. For dinner, there was one hot main, a soup, bread, and some cold salads. Vegetarian meals could be requested. Cold dishes rotated - couscous salad, pasta salad, olives, iceberg salad, Greek salad, corn and beans, cold roasted vegetables, etc.. Buffets were unlimited. Location - 5 minute walk to Central Station and a full grocery store next door. Other - Self servic laundry was convenient - just book a 2 hour slot with the front desk. There are 2 washers and dryers and only one guest has the laundry key at a time. You provide your own soap and dryer sheets. There was also a washing/dry cleaning service through the hotel, though we didn't use it. There was a gym in the building that guests have access to. Staff - Every staff member we came in contact with was so nice. The front desk staff were helpful and quick with requests like cleaning, laundry access, extra towels, and check-in (we actually had three different bookings over our stay and the reception staff made sure we kept the same room and made switching out keys and paying very convenient). The people who work in the food area are the most hard working and efficient I've seen in that kind of environment. They replaced food that was low in the buffet and cleaned tables quickly so that new people could sit down. As other reviewers have said, some of the spaces (corridors in particular) are outdated and the rooms are more apartment style than hotel but we wouldn't pay any extra to change those things. We found this hotel to be incredibly high value and would love to return.

The location is quite good, with a bus stop nearby and you can reach to the city center easily. The room is clean and comfortable. No problem at all.
