Great location. Easy to get around and get back to the place at night. If you're a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend the shared rooms, people coming back late at night, the doors close quite loudly. My only complaint is that I received a keycard to the wrong room and walked right into a private suite.. Nobody was there thankfully and I just walked right out, but if I were staying in a private room I would hate to think that strangers could just walk into my room where all my belongings are lying around. Otherwise clean and quite a cool environment.

Zum Preis ist das Hotel ganz okay. Das beste ist die Lage: etwa 5 Minuten zur S-Bahn und zur U-Bahn, etwa 100 m zu dem Supermarkt, der Drogerie, dem Apotheker und ganz viele Restaurants (z.B. vietnamesisches, persisches, libanesisches, türkisches) Aber bestimmt ist das Hotel nicht perfekt. Der Schreibtisch im Zimmer ist winzig und es fehlt ein Stuhl. Es gibt nur zwei Polsterhocker. So unbequem! Es gibt keinen Eisenbügel, Kaffeemacher oder Wasserkocher. Abends ist das Esszimmer bzw. Gemeinschaftraum geschlossen. Also keinen Platz für eine Besprechung oder außerhalb dem Zimmer zu arbeiten. Aber wenn man vorhat, im Zimmer nur zu schlafen und baden, dann geht es ganz gut.

I stayed in ”Alte Wache” hotel 2 nights for working reasons, arriving by taxi from the apt. The kindness, courtesy and service efficiency of the gentleman and the lady at the reception deserve a top rate. They both are a great example of care and warm hospitality, making every guest feel really welcomed. The lobby is nice in its old fashion style, the double room is spacious, perfectly clean and silent; breakfast was very good, and much better than some 4stars hotel: the tea blend selections very appreciated and the fresh flower on the tables a lovely, precious gift!! 2 small suggestions: 1) the morning waitress should be a little bit more smilying; 2) do not accomodate a person alone in a dinner table for 6. The hotel is also extremely close to city center (walking distance), so I really reccomend it!!

TLDR: New aparthotel, near subway We stayed at Aparthotel Adagio Access Hamburg in June-July. Had a family studio for four. Everything is just like in pictures, this a brand new hotel (and it’s not in progress anymore). Our view was on subway side and it was peaceful. We had windows wide open on nights when kids slept and they didn’t notice anything. Location is not in the middle of everything, but it’s between two subway stations (Lübecker Straße and Uhlandstraße). Many visitors seemed to have their cars with them (there is parking space), but we were interrailing and this worked well for us, too. Check out 9 am day tickets! Stayed almost a week. There’s Rewe and Aldi supermarkets nearby and also restaurants (eg. Domino’s). The hotel has basic kitchen appliances + Nescafe machine. You can also loan other kitchen appliances (toaster, coffee machines, rice cookers etc) from the reseption. There is also free air hockey that you can play after 4 pm. There is a small gym (for free) downstairs and laundry machine (you need coins, 4 €/load). You get coffee and tea for free from breakfast area (even though you didn’t buy breakfast, we didn’t), but there’s milk (for latte, hot chocolate etc) only during the breakfast time. Only thing was that our room was next to elevators and the door before them is surprisingly light, and made a sound to our wall every time someone used it. And as we stayed a little longer and cleaning during the stay wasn’t included, it would have been nice if there was a vacuumcleaner or something to loan for cleaning (we loove Hamburg’s spielplätze and most of them have lots of sand….). But this are sooooo little, all of our family said 5/5 and want to stay again. All in all, good choice. Kids loved. Quiet place, good service.

Erstklassiger Service und sehr freundliches Personal. Die Lage des Hotels empfinden wir als sehr gut. Bei Anreise mit dem Pkw kann man sein Fahrzeug in der Tiefgarage abstellen (Kostenpunkt 16€/Nacht). Der Fernbahnhof Hamburg-Dammtor befindet sich etwa 800m entfernt. Sehenswürdigkeiten und die Innenstadt sind durchaus fußläufig zu erreichen. Man kann aber auch den ÖPNV nutzen. Für die Nutzung des ÖPNV erhält der Gast ein kostenloses Ticket, welches vom Anreisetag bis einschließlich des Abreisetages gültig ist. Für das leibliches Wohl steht morgens ein umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet bereit.

I was on a hurried family trip to Hamburg and opted for this hotel after seeing earlier reviews. I wanted to give the family a small surprise and hence opted for their suite room. We weren't disappointed at all. The room was indeed a treat. It was love at first sight. The selection of liquor offered within the room (payable ) was high class. The toiletries were also of a high quality. The breakfast was decent , not very classy. The front office & breakfast staff were cordial . The location is about 5 min from Mini wonderland. It is a bit far from the main city center, but there are a few good restaurants nearby. Will definitely stay again, when visiting Hamburg

The hotel is tidy, but outdated. For me, the most important thing is that the venue is tidy, so the weariness didn't bother me too much. What bothered me though, was the fact that I didn't get a room on a high level, though I asked for it. So, what happened, was that the guest above me was quite loud. In the mornings, he started to march in the room, so that I couldn't sleep. What was much worse was that on one early morning (betw. 5 and 6 am), the couple above started to fight. It was loud and frightening and lasted a long time. Naturally, this was not the hotel's fault, but is one reason I usually ask for a room as high as possible, not near the elevators. Also on other mornings, at Novum families with children woke me up, while going to the breakfast. It was quite load in the corridor. If you're a light sleeper, perhaps it's better not to choose this hotel. Otherwise, it was nice, breakfast was good and one person in the reception staff was very nice.

Es ist immer wieder ein Genuss in diesem Hotel zu wohnen, es hat alles zu bieten was wir uns von einem Hotel wünschen. Ausstattung, Größe der Zimmer, Design, Bar, Restaurant usw., wir würden dem Hotel glatt 5 Sterne geben aber dafür fehlt wahrscheinlich der Pool. So oder so wir kommen wieder, denn für uns ist das Best Western Plus Hotel Böttcherhof die Top-Adresse in Hamburg, Danke.

It was amazing! It cost around 70¢ for a single night, and I would say it was a reasonable price because the room was clean, the breakfast was lovely, and the staffs were so kind. I appreciated that they kept my luggage after my check out before my leaving. Since the hotel was located two to five minutes from the Hamburg Hauptbahnhof, I found it convenient. Vielen Danke!

Everything was great. Loved the hotel would definitely stay there again. Perhaps the location is not ideal for everyone (20 minutes by public transport to the station), but we didn't mind, as it also cut the transport to the airport in half.
