I'll call this 4.5 stars rounded up. I was here for a business trip, so will also mention the aspect of having a meeting at the Russelior. ROOM: I'd give my room 4 stars. It was super comfortable. I was fortunate to have a small balcony, and sat out there almost every day after breakfast to read for a bit before needing to go to work. I requested cleaning several times (not every day), and was very happy with the job they did with that. The bathroom and WC are like what one would find outside of the US -- shower, bath and sink in one place, toilet in the other. I agree with a review I read that the WC is funk because of how the door is placed; it's challenging to close the door. Cons in the room: Lighting is very low, especially in the bathroom. I imagine this is to hide the fact that some upgrades are needed in the bathroom -- but everything worked and was clean. DINING ROOM: There are tons of options at every meal, including authentic Tunisian dishes. Staff: 500 stars. What a lovely group of individuals! Aside from preparing and serving dishes, they taught me a bit of Tunisian every day. I wasn't just greeted politely at each meal, I was treated warmly. They recognized me, and by day 3, I'd come in to breakfast and they knew which table I was making a bee-line for; they'd be ready with coffee the way I like it, etc. Great senses of humor and wonderful service. The food is seafood heavy -- and the staff remembered I have a seafood allergy, so they'd point to the dishes I could have each day. They put a range of salads out as well. RECEPTION/OTHER STAFF: Wonderful. The front desk team was very helpful throughout the week. The hotel was spotless, and we saw people cleaning at all hours of the day. BUSINESS SETUP: We had reliable WiFi the whole week. We used a smaller meeting room, and again, the staff brought everything we needed. Tech was super easy to use. They came to clean when we were on breaks. Overall really good. I didn't experience the spa or the pool -- it was too cold to be outside by the pool, and we were too busy to take advantage of the spa! But if I am able to get back to Tunisia, I think I'd stay here again. [ONE THING: This is about Tunisia, not about this hotel -- but I wasn't prepared for how many people smoke cigarettes here. The hotel rooms are non-smoking, but people smoke on their balconies, as well as outside on the pool level. If you are sensitive to cigarette smoke, I'd recommend you tell reception that when you make a reservation so they can hopefully get you to a room that isn't over a gathering area!

Hotel molto pulito, il personale della reception, bar e colazioni: accogliente, estremamente gentile e disponibile. La camera ben arredata, spaziosa, pulita. Idem per il bagno. Ho chiesto una camera dalla parte interna del giardinetto, é silenziosa. Arredamento fresco e delicato, luminoso per le bellissime vetrate e un tocco di colore e gentilezza con i fiori e le piante. Angolo biblioteca vicino alla sala colazioni. Bar con divani, tavolini e grande televisore piatto a muro. Belle le stufe riscaldanti a fiamma libera, coreografiche. La cosa più bella di cui vorrei informare i lettori della recensione, riguarda la generosità, ospitalità e grande gentilezza della proprietaria (che parla italiano): mi sono trovata in difficoltà per una dissenteria e lei, insieme al suo personale, mi hanno fatto sentire a Casa. Mi hanno persino offerto del riso nonostante l'albergo non effettui i pasti, ma il BeB. Sono molto grata alla proprietaria, anima gentile con un grande cuore. Se ora sto meglio é grazie anche a lei. Consiglierei questo albergo a tutti coloro che arrivano ad Hammamet, questa città é molto diversa dall'Italia ma in questo albergo ti puoi sentire sicuro, coccolato, in un ambiente che non si discosta da uno dei migliori alberghi italiani.

بإستثناء موظف اسمه عبدالعزيز قصير القامة نذل جدا في التعامل في البوفيه مع النزلاء يجبرهم على الجلوس في طاولات محددة حتى تسهل له عملية التنظيف وحتى قبل لا ان ينتهو من الاكل يسالهم finished or no ..اما الفندق جميل جدا المظهر العام للفندق يجلب الاسترخاء موظفي الاستقبال جدا لطفاء مرونة في التعامل وتسهيل الإجراء الغرفة نظيفة جدا ومشرحة المكان قريب من الأماكن الحيوية بمسافة نصف كيلو تقريبا . اقامة به لاتمل من حيت المرافق والنشاطات نهارا وليلا.

I was spent 8 unforgettable days in this georgious 5* hotel. The room, the staff, the food, the beach everything was just perfect. The hotel is very clean, every area has cleaned daily. The food is amazing. There is very good espresso , you may choose to make yourself an Italian espresso ( capsule) or to order whatever coffee do you prefer ( no extra fees) The wine and cocktails are very good. I definitely recommend .

Ramzi (General Manager) is a top tier manager, he is very hospitable and can deal with complex requests with ease. I stayed here back in December 2022 and return a year later with 27 members of my family for dinner and had an amazing family meal that we all keep dear in our hearts. All of the beach bar staff (especially Fawzi) are awesome and always smiling. I always pay a visit when I’m in Hammamet

Seconde fois dans cet hôtel et séjour toujours aussi agréable. Un accueil chaleureux de madame Dorsaf et du personnel de réception. Tout le personnel a votre écoute des femmes de chambres aux serveurs du restaurant en passant par les animateurs. Une chambre avec une superbe vu sur la mer et la piscine. Le chef Saber en cuisine toujours prêt a vous satisfaire, il a su nous préparer un repas pour 12 personnes au dernier moment afin de faire une soirée avec des amis rencontré durant le séjour à l'hôtel. Sans oublier la possibilité d'accéder à la thalasso du second hôtel et ces 3 piscines dont l'aquatonique a l'eau de mer. Après comme partout il y a quelques petites imperfections mais qui ne nous ont pas poser de soucis et je peux assurer que nous y retournerons une troisième fois.

I stayed here in August 2023. On entry to the hotel the first impression was a classical, well aged building.and furnishings.. the stains on the seats were for sure well aged. The smell was also authentic, I thought there was a dead cat or bird within the sofa. The check.in process was friendly and quick and we were given an old school metal key with huge brass keyring. We were escorted to the rooms by an older gentleman who helped us with our bags and demonstrated the amenities, there was Aircon and it was functional. The opinion of the establishment quickly reduced when the stairs were used.. there we found a scaffold fitted to the building with 8mm steel wire protruding into the walkway. Children would be injured very quickly. Once settled we went to bar.. the bar had a smell which was similar to the dead cat smell in reception but it was more like a mixture of urine and cigarettes. The prices are reasonable in the bar. So one night at 9pm I was walking to my room and saw a pool of vomit on the hall by my room... I walked past it hoping someone would report it and have it cleaned... it was still there at 06.15 the following morning when I reported it to reception; I was told that the cleaners start at 07.00🤣 The morning shower was not correct temperature for a hot water system to remain safe for human use, in Europe we would have failed the compliance check for legionella. The hot water temp.was between 30 and 36 degrees. The shower curtain had some serious stories to tell, and I woidl say it also had its own bioculture. The toilet in my room would flush clean, but then turn brown... it must have had some back flow issues, the smell of my room was unreal... Like troopers we carried on and savoured the experience, eating out in glorious local restaurants and working during the day. One night I noticed how upset the plants looked in the reception, perhaps they were mourning for the loss of their fav cat. Major incident must be reported because at 01.00 hotel staff entered my room, by mistake. I had a heated discussion with the staff who had opened room 218 instead of room 318, the guest in 318 had locked her key in the room.... the hotel staff did not follow professional standard when opening rooms at night. The incompetence and unprofessionalism forced me to ask my boss to rebook, and I left! I add a few photos, the sofa is not wet, it is stained, like the pillows and bead sheets... Being a ginger it was alarming to find black public hair on the bath edge 3 days into the trip.
