Excellent location in the heart of the old town. Extremely pleasant and helpful receptionists and other staff. Very clean room. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was a bit "strange" in that there was comparatively little food on display. Hot food was available but you had to ask for it. There was a traditional menu that wasn't much use if you don't speak German. The breakfast cost 19 euros which, in terms of value for money, wasn't good. After the first morning I ate breakfast in town. Regarding the room: it was difficult to open and close the curtains because they hung down a long way from a very high ceiling. Also, the main shower seemed to be hand-held only. Perhaps it wasn't, but that's how it appeared to me. I used the bath instead, which was very good. The room was generally quiet, but I was disturbed by people (students I assume) just walking along the street and talking. They certainly weren't rowdy.

Right at the university- easily reached by bus from the train station. Room was beautiful and comfortable. Easy walking to restaurants, shopping, and points of interest such as Heidelberg Castle, Old Bridge, and philosophers walk. Staff were friendly and informative. Great place to stay!

After a hectic week in Munich it was wonderful come to this beautiful hotel in the old city close to the high street shopping, castle, university and restaurants. The room was lovely and the bath large and well-appointed. Two large areas with outside seating for relaxing with a drink. It was so nice I almost didn’t want to leave to,tour - just stay in the hotel and relax with a good book. Very helpful and friendly staff. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open the days I was there but the breakfast was excellent.

This is a lovely hotel with a ‘boutique’ atmosphere. The addition of the modern glass building to the original building has been beautifully designed. The position in a quiet road yet near the ‘Altstadt’ is perfect for visiting the town and castle. The rooms are very comfortable, the service is excellent and our dinner in the hotel Romer Restaurant was exceptionally good. If you come by car their garage has easy access to the hotel facilities - we particularly liked the automatic internal doors when bringing in our luggage. The perfect place to stay in Heidelberg.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Heidelberg. Walking distance to old town and across the water to Philosophers' Path. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Breakfast offered for additional cost but we declined - chose to pick up breakfast at nearby Zeit für Brot Café - highly recommend.

Lovely hotel perfectly placed to explore Heidelberg. Comfortable beds, nicely appointed rooms, great breakfast and the personal attention and service provided by Phillip made this a stand out stay for us. We hope to be back!

We booked very last minute as the hotel we were in was terrible. So found this place, got there late on Sunday, the man in reception was very kind. Gave me clear instructions on parking etc

Way cool. Far enough from the riff raff of the waterfront and the shopping streets to be away from the clutter. Next to Heidelberg University. Ten big steps to Peterkirche, with show-stopping avant garde stained-glass windows. Great breakfasts. Elegant public areas and rooms. Six hotels this trip, four in Germany. By far, the best of the six.

Clean, comfortable, quiet room. Very comfortable bed and bathroom. Spacious room. Great neighborhood. Super staff!! When we return we will stay here again. The secure underground parking had good access.
