This is an old-school European hotel that has been run by the same family for years. In fact, they were walking around breakfast greeting guests who had been coming for years. Although the furnishings are more old-school the service is top notch. The front desk, bellman, servers - everyone was extremely helpful and cheerful. It was a 10-15 minute walk into the heart of the town and our room was quite comfortable - the sitting area was nice to have so we could relax a bit before dinner. Breakfast was a great buffet with fresh squeezed juices and cheeses, meats, eggs, pastries and yoghurts.

Everything is immaculate and there is great attention to detail. The walk into town is lovely, or you can take a short taxi ride. We traveled by train so this hotel was perfect, very short walk from the main station, maybe 150 feet. We did not know check in was 3:00 so paid 15€ to check in early taking a lesser room for the same price. IBIS allows early check in / late checkout for a 90€ annual fee. Breakfast was basic so we skipped that. Unfortunately McDonalds next door closed about 4 months earlier. As for lunch, the Thai restaurant (Asia Box) in the main station was very good and there is a grocery store in the station too. Our room on the 1st floor was small but clean with 2 beds. The bathroom was very small but this is the only room we saw. Street noise was minimal. Train, tram and bus lines converge here so you cant beat the location. I suspect they have parking for a fee but because we arrived by train, I am not sure.

This hotel is in an historic building. The ceilings are high and our room was a deluxe double and very spacious. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a wide variety of foods--from fresh baked bread, to make your own waffles, to cheeses, eggs and other foods. The staff at the buffet was very helpful and lovely. The hotel is well located just a few blocks from the Alstadt (old city) and it was easy to walk everywhere from there. It's also right next to the bus/tram station. However, a few things you need to know before you book this hotel. 1) The reception desk is only staffed until early evening. 2) Housekeeping is sporadic. We were there for 6 nights and the room was only cleaned once. 3) There is no air conditioning. We had a fan in the room and opened the windows and it was bearable at night, but not super cool. On a very hot day or night this could really be an issue. 4) With the windows open, it is really noisy, particularly because the bus and tram station is right across the street. 5) There is no shampoo or conditioner provided--only hand soap at the sink and body soap in the shower. However, there's a drug store across the street where you can get what you need. 6) There are small sets of stairs that you may have to go up and down on the floor where the rooms are. If you have mobility issues, try to ask about this when you book so that you get a room where this won't be an issue. We had a very nice stay, but those are things I would have liked to know before I booked, so I thought I'd include them in a review.

In an ancient building, dining room has white arched ceiling , lots of rooms, quite elegant. WE wanted a slow lunch to avoid the rain - and succeeded. Table layout upmarket. Food excellent, it was schnitzel week, so we all indulged. Good wines. Not as massively expensive as one might guess from the appearance. Young waiters struggled a bit, and mis-served us once; but lots of smiles and our poor German did the trick

The hotel is in a great location at the river's edge near the old bridge, and was easy to find. Hotel-provided directions were perfect. Unloading bags in front of the hotel was simple. Public parking (get a discount card from hotel) was in a pay garage that's a bit of drive to maneuver but an easy walk back. The hotel staff were all wonderful and check-in was quick. There is a convenient lift next to reception. Some rooms are two steps down the hall--easily doable with luggage. The room was a decent size. The bed was very comfortable but with all feather pillows (not great for allergy sufferers). The nightstands at each bedside had a power outlet--perfect for charging devices at bedside! The room had a mini bar but no coffeemaker or tea kettle. The bathroom had a shower cubicle with a little mold at the base of the tile--just needs a bit of scrubbing. The water pressure was excellent! There was a wall-mounted hair dryer. Although the bathroom was dimly lit, the lighted magnifying mirror was a nice addition. The free WiFi worked well and was password protected. I would happily stay here again the next time I'm in the area.

Meiden Sie dieses Hotel und suchen Sie sich eine schöne Unterkunft in der Innenstadt! Die Umgebung des Hotels ist absurd. Der Weg in die Innenstadt ist nicht fußläufig. Das Hotel hatte bei meiner Ankunft (nachmittags) keine Rezeption geöffnet. Die Zutritt erfolgte über einen Automaten. Da ich mit meinem Erdgeschoss – Zimmer nicht einverstanden war, hätte ich gernee meinen Raum gewechselt. Aber: ich hatte keinen Ansprechpartner. Der Kühlschrank im Zimmer dröhnte so laut, dass ich kaum schlafen konnte. Telefonisch konnte mir die verschlafene Mitarbeiterin keine Hilfe leisten. Am nächsten Morgen stellte ich bedauerlicherweise erst in der Dusche fest, dass kein Haarshampoo vorhanden war. Abtrocknen, anrufen, abwarten. Nachdem ich mir mit dem Wasserkocher den vorgehalten Instant- Kaffee zubereitet hatte, musste ich feststellen, dass auch keine Löffel im Zimmer waren. In Zukunft werde ich wieder eines der anständigen Hotels in der Innenstadt Heidelbergs buchen.

Auf Empfehlung habe ich telefonisch das Rollstuhlzimmer für eine Nacht gebucht. Am Rand des Industriegebietes ein Hotel, ein kleines Zimmerchen mit einem Doppelbett, 40 cm links zu Fenster & Heizkörper und 40 cm rechts zur Wand und einem großen Bad, himmlisch Rollifreundlich. Wenn auch mit der Toilettenrolle unerreichbar im Rücken aber sonst prima. Wie mit dem Rollstuhl an und ins Bett kommen? 20:00 Uhr Sonntags anderes Hotel finden? Die Empörung verpuffte an einer überforderten Spätdienst Studentin, die sich dann telefonisch beim Chef den Rat holte, die Betten doch einfach auseinander zu schieben, das große Laken gegen 2x neue auszutauschen. Wir haben dann Betten bezogen. In der Nacht brauche ich Unterstützung beim Umlagern, ein Doppelbett deshalb eigentlich alternativlos. Uneigentlich dann 4 Stunden Schlaf mit der Nase am Heizkörper. Das negative Feedback am nächsten Morgen irritierte; die Betten könne man doch problemlos auseinander schieben. Würde auch immer so gemacht. Und das Badezimmer so groß und wirklich toll barrierefrei. Getop mit dem Hinweis, dass man sich vorher auf jeden Fall die Zimmer anschauen sollte, ob der Platz auch passt. Ob der Empfehlende das Zimmer kennt? Aber ja und Probleme hätte es noch nie gegeben. Sogar e-Rollis passen. Man schiebt die Betten einfach problemlos auseinander. Und das Badezimmer ist doch so groß und wirklich toll barrierefrei. Seit her überlege ich: Wo ist das Problem, das Problem problemlos zu lösen wünschenswerter Weise vor Ankunft der Gäste und des Problems? Würde ich aus Bonn zum duschen nach Heidelberg fahren wollen, wäre das Neuheidelberg Wohlfühlhotel meine erste Adresse. Und zum Frühstücken auch, das Buffet läßt keine Wünsche offen. Oder es lag an mir, weil zu müde, zu unkreativ, zu unflexibel 😉 ?

Chef war sehr freundlich, das Personal sprach leider kein dt.! Frühstückszeiten im 30 min Fenster, eigentlich bin ich ja im Urlaub und hätte vielleicht einmal etwas ausgeschlafen und dann gemütlich gefrühstückt..... Sehr einfaches Frühstück, nichts überwältigendes, Käse und Wurst aus der Packung und jeden Tag das gleiche; Kein ”Warmes” Angebot (wollte Spiegeleier bestellen, die Damen konnte leider keine Deutsch!), keine ”Frischen” Sachen (Salate, Frisch-/Hüttenkäse etc); Kein Toast, Knäckebrot auch kein Schwarzbrot! etc....... Nur weiße Brötchen oder eines mit Sonnenblumenkernen; fauliges Obst, den grauslichsten Kaffee dann ich ”je” getrunken habe (statt über Std. auf einer Warmhalteplatte, mich hat es schon gewundert warum alle Tee trinken), Zi. unterm Dach waren auch jetzt noch SEHR warm, keine AC o.ä., leider sehr hellhörig und laut, im Bad war nur ein kleine Duschgel vorhanden, kein Shampoo, wurde auch nicht nachgefüllt; Fußläufig zum DB, allerdings sehr weit ins Zentrum

We visited Heidelberg in juni 2022, and was originally only booked in at Qube hotel for 2 nights. As our travels to Heidelberg went alot smoother than expected, we called the hotel to see if we could book an extra night, so we had longer time to explore the City of Heidelberg. The guy i spoke to in the phone was very friendly and helpful, and spoke perfect english. He made a reservation for an extra night, in the same room as the following night. Check-in went smoothly, and the room was just perfect! As it was really hot when we visited Heidelbeg (+ 30 *C), we really appriciated the arcondition and the possibility to open af window. The room was very spacious, and so was the Bathroom. i think it is the first hotel i have stayed at, were it was possible to open the Bathroom window, which was really nice. We did not eat any meals at the hotel, but we visited the Bar a couple of times, and had the most fabulous cocktails. The Bartender( bar mamager) was very friendly! We had most of our cocktails at the Rooftop bar, and it was just perfect! Bahnstedt is a very unique area, and we enjoyed staying here. We would hihgly recommend this hotel for other guests.

My kid and I both enjoyed the authentic vibe of this historic hotel in the heart of Heidelberg. The central location was awesome, but we were immersed in the hustle and bustle of the restaurants below and the cleanup afterwards. It’s noisy (especially with open windows to catch the breeze) but not unexpected. Try to park in structure P12 as the hotel offers discount vouchers (10€/night) instead of the usual rate. We didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant but it looked lovely and the staff were all delightful, especially Dennis (who hooked me up with a much-needed coffee each morning and provided insider tips). Room Details: large size on the 3rd floor with two twin beds, a standing fan, fridge available but had to be plugged in, no coffee maker, no top sheets (but available in the hallway closet), bathroom had a corner shower, everything was clean.

Wir hatten einen sehr herzlichen Empfang, die Zimmer sind sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und man fühlt sich sofort zu Hause. Sauberkeit tipptop. Wir waren zwischen den Jahren da und der kleine Innenhof war wunderschön dekoriert. Die Lage ist absolut zentral und direkt an der alten Brücke gelegen. Das öffentliche, unterhalb des Schlosses gelegene Parkhaus (für Gäste gibt es Rabatt), ist durch einen kurzen Fußgang durch die Stadt gut zu erreichen. Insgesamt ist alles gut durchdacht, die Mitarbeiter waren alle freundlich und gut gelaunt. Das angeschlossene Restaurant ist auch sehr zu empfehlen (lecker Essen, guter Service). Wir waren leider nur für eine Nacht dort würden aber jederzeit wieder kommen.

Great spacious room. The kids had separate beds ( always a bonus in our house) in what I would call the Living room. Good spacious wet room. The kitchenette was equipped with microwave, single induction hob, plates,bowls, cutlery & looked like a wardrobe when closed. The beds were comfy, the room clean. Dogs are welcome. Parking was 10€ but you can park on the main street for free. Breakfast was 18€ for adults & 8.50€ for kids. Located 3km (2 miles) for the old town, approx a 40 minute walk. There's an Aldi 5 minute walk way & a burger bar, which is well worth a visit. Metri stops are plentiful within a short distance. Minor down sides, we were in Block 3 facing the busy Metro Link. The trains stopped approx 11pm Saturday night & started again approx 6am Sunday morning.

This hotel is absolutely lovely - the reception area is pristine and modern. Although our room wasn't quite ready on check in because the hotel was sold out, we were able to leave our luggage here and begin our visit to Heidelberg. We dealt with 2 girls at reception, both incredibly busy but incredibly helpful. I couldn't praise them enough. The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous too, with so much to choose from. The rooms were spotless and clearly newly decorated. Everything was to notch - I couldn't fault it. The rooftop bar is worth a visit too - a little expensive, but the views are fabulous. Be warned that it gets super busy (as expected) if the weather is nice.

This hotel is in an historic building. The ceilings are high and our room was a deluxe double and very spacious. The breakfast buffet was delicious and had a wide variety of foods--from fresh baked bread, to make your own waffles, to cheeses, eggs and other foods. The staff at the buffet was very helpful and lovely. The hotel is well located just a few blocks from the Alstadt (old city) and it was easy to walk everywhere from there. It's also right next to the bus/tram station. However, a few things you need to know before you book this hotel. 1) The reception desk is only staffed until early evening. 2) Housekeeping is sporadic. We were there for 6 nights and the room was only cleaned once. 3) There is no air conditioning. We had a fan in the room and opened the windows and it was bearable at night, but not super cool. On a very hot day or night this could really be an issue. 4) With the windows open, it is really noisy, particularly because the bus and tram station is right across the street. 5) There is no shampoo or conditioner provided--only hand soap at the sink and body soap in the shower. However, there's a drug store across the street where you can get what you need. 6) There are small sets of stairs that you may have to go up and down on the floor where the rooms are. If you have mobility issues, try to ask about this when you book so that you get a room where this won't be an issue. We had a very nice stay, but those are things I would have liked to know before I booked, so I thought I'd include them in a review.

I pass through Heidelberg a lot on business, and have only taken the time to stay overnight once before, partially because I haven't been too keen to stay in any of the hotels in the Old City. Most are kind of run-down and stuffy; some are quite expensive and stuffy. Villa Marstall is neither. The hotel is in a beautiful old villa right on the river with incredible views of the river, trees, rowers and other boats, and the looming green mountain and Philosopher's Way across the water. Views towards the city encompass old buildings, the churches, and the famous castle. You are a short walk from pretty much everything worth seeing, or doing, or eating, or drinking in this awesome little city. And even though the building is classic and old, the rooms are recently renovated and modern, leaving some nice period details, like exposed beams and brick in some places. They're furnished in a clean, white, simple style. The breakfast--which is not included in the price (understandable, given the reasonableness of their rates)--is good but not great. I think that when the hotel is busier, there is probably more selection. And in any event, the breakfast staff are very friendly and helpful. And all this comes at a very reasonable price tag; I would normally expect to spend 1.5x or 2x what I did for such a nice experience. Highly recommend this hotel, and I will definitely be back!

In an ancient building, dining room has white arched ceiling , lots of rooms, quite elegant. WE wanted a slow lunch to avoid the rain - and succeeded. Table layout upmarket. Food excellent, it was schnitzel week, so we all indulged. Good wines. Not as massively expensive as one might guess from the appearance. Young waiters struggled a bit, and mis-served us once; but lots of smiles and our poor German did the trick

And all this comes at a very reasonable price tag; I would normally expect to spend 1.5x or 2x what I did for such a nice experience. Highly recommend this hotel, and I will definitely be back!

Unusual for a traditional German hotel, clean rooms are air-conditioned and accessible by elevator. Comfortable beds made for a great night's sleep. Wonderful breakfast included in price. Bar offers great food and astounding variety of spirits and cocktails. Car aficionados: take note of hood ornaments displayed in typically ”gemütlich” restaurant Stube. Wish we could have stayed for more than one night. Highly recommended!

Das Hotel liegt 5 Minuten zu Fuß vom Hauptbahnhof Heidelberg. Die Innenstadt ist 15 min mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel erreichbar. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, wirkt aber ordentlich und sauber. Beim Check in mussten alle bereits online hinterlegten Daten leider nochmal angegeben werden. Ich würde nicht wiederkommen, da es mir zu weit von der Innenstadt entfernt ist.

Wir hatten einen sehr herzlichen Empfang, die Zimmer sind sehr gemütlich eingerichtet und man fühlt sich sofort zu Hause. Sauberkeit tipptop. Wir waren zwischen den Jahren da und der kleine Innenhof war wunderschön dekoriert. Die Lage ist absolut zentral und direkt an der alten Brücke gelegen. Das öffentliche, unterhalb des Schlosses gelegene Parkhaus (für Gäste gibt es Rabatt), ist durch einen kurzen Fußgang durch die Stadt gut zu erreichen. Insgesamt ist alles gut durchdacht, die Mitarbeiter waren alle freundlich und gut gelaunt. Das angeschlossene Restaurant ist auch sehr zu empfehlen (lecker Essen, guter Service). Wir waren leider nur für eine Nacht dort würden aber jederzeit wieder kommen.
