Great hotel near Central Station with easy access to transportation. Very impressive breakfast and a friendly reception.

The hotel location is fantastic very close to the railway station, super convenient. The only downside is that there’s no kettle in the room, so if you need hot water you’ll have to use the tap water. Anyhow still recommend it as the hotel is good in overall.

The location is very near the train station, and one can walk behind the building block to reach the track for trains heading to the airport. There are a few steps but the staff are happy to help with my luggage. The sauna is small but a nice way to spend the night. Breakfast is also nice with a variation of food.

It was a wonderful 3 nights stay in the lovely city of Helsinki. The hotel is located in the city center, which makes dining and shopping and getting around anywhere super convenient. Despite being right next to Helsinki Central station and the bus terminal, the room is super quiet. Sound proofing is 👍🏻. My room was clean, cosy, spacious and tastefully designed. The amenities in the room was very basic; they only provide towels, no other amenities were provided. Bedroom slippers to be purchased. Doesn’t affect our stay much though. The location tops everything else. Buffet breakfast was good too.

We stayed at Scandic Grand Central Helsinki and loved its unbeatable location — it’s right next to the central train station, which is super convenient for travelers. The room was decent in size, and we really appreciated that the bathroom had a bidet, which was a nice touch. However, the cleanliness of the room could have been better, as it didn’t feel properly cleaned upon check-in. The biggest downside was the hotel’s accessibility — there’s no shortcut or direct access for guests to reach the train station, so we had to walk all the way around every time. Moreover, the main entrance doesn’t have a ramp, which made it very inconvenient for guests with strollers or heavy luggage. We had to take a side lift to get in, which was quite troublesome. Overall, great location but disappointing accessibility design.

Facilities: The bedding is comfortable, the bathroom is clean and tidy, and there's a kettle and a hairdryer! Environment: Right next to the central train station! Convenient for dining and shopping! Service: Efficient and polite! A very premium and pleasant experience! The breakfast is rich and the restaurant is beautiful!

Unbeatable location, nice breakfast and venues, friendly services.  Our compliment to a front desk lady staff who helped us to upgrade our room since the housekeeping missed cleaning our room accidentally (we left the room in normal morning hours without DND sign).  One point about the sauna: we anticipate it would be sizable and found it was tiny and humbly equipped therefore we did not try it eventually.  Overall, this Scandic Central experience is much better than the previous Scandic version in CPH.  We highly recommend this hotel for  those to Helsinki.

A very decent hotel with high convenience, just 3min walk from Helsinki Central Station. The breakfast is good too, highly recommended.

Excellent hotel in excellent location. Very good breakfast with a great variety of choice. Next to the central station and walkable to most tourist attractions. Sure will stay again.

We had a great few nights stay at Scandic Grand Central. The check-in process was smooth- The hotel even provided an online check-in option that would also notify us when our room is ready so that we can check in earlier. The room was a little smaller than we imagined but nevertheless well-equipped. The breakfast buffet is a MUST- There's a wide variety of food and they are all scrumptious. The staff was warm and accommodating- Big thumbs up to the cleaning staff who greeted us everyday without fail with the biggest smile on their faces. The location is also fantastic-Its very central so all the tourist attractions and transport is within walking distance.

Very convenient location, great breakfast. Only issue I have is the stairs to get up hotels may be inconvenient for some.

The stay was okay, except there was no slippers provided even when i stayed at the junior suite. Also the reception services wasnt great. Some were very helpful (i believe her name was vilma) while others were not. When i was checking out to take a uber to the airport, this lady told me i should not be taking uber outside the hotel and if i wanted to, i should do it away from the hotel. She suggested to take the taxis parked outside. Foolishly i thought at worst, the taxis would cost maybe double of the uber (which was 22euros) to my horror, the bill came out to be 90euros. The taxi driver drove so slowly, i felt i shld be walking, until i gave him a piece of my mind only then did he speed up. I suspect the meter is rigged (jumped 10cent euros every 7-8sec? Either that or the hotel is in cahoots with the taxis outside. DO NOT TAKE TAXIS IN FINLAND! Take uber!
