This was my first time in Higashine and I felt very welcomed in the Ryokan. As a designer I appreciated the fact that it has a "vintage" touch to it. It is old fashioned, but in a good way. But that might not be to everyones liking. The garden was beautiful and the Ryokan itself provides a peaceful atmosphere. It is in a perfect location to go to town by foot, restaurants close by. The manager was very kind and always joyful with a smile. The man at the front desk was helpful even though with minimal English knowledge. The onsen was very nice and my pain went ways within three days. The food was amazing with lots of variety. They also provided futons upon our arrival, because some of us had come from the airport. There was a bit of confusion the second day about the cleaning. It wasn't communicated well, we went out and when we came back, they came back to clean a second time (?) Hot water for tea was missing that morning. But really, in general is was a great experience. I will certainly come back.

天童温泉のように町中にある温泉で渓谷や山があるわけでもないので立地からくる感動はいまひとつ。 従業員さんは親切に対応してくださり接客面での不満はありません。 お風呂は湯船が広くて開放的。悠々自適に入浴することができました。 客室から見える庭園も和が感じられてよかったです。 料理で一部鮮度が落ちている？と感じられる品があったのが気になりました。 年数からくる劣化による部分が大きいと思いますが館内や客室の設備の老朽化や痛みが利用して気になりました。 物価高など大変だとは思いますが設備の改修にも力を入れてほしいと思いました。
