The room was different than the one shown in the pictures while booking. The wasroom was not clean, there were webcobs, floor was stained, no toileteries were present, cups were missing, drinking water wasn't there. Bathing water wasn't available even after many reminders.

Shimla British Resort: My stay here was fantastic! The resort is beautifully maintained, with a cozy atmosphere and excellent service. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway. I want to come here gain and agian. I found it is best hotel in shimla. I recommend you to come here.

I choose the British resort. Well there's been some good and some unpleasant experiences here. The front office staffs are such a lovely people, The room was large and the furniture was antique and well kept, The view from the balcony was beautiful,The food and room service was very good. Room service was so efficient, fast and courteous. That was the good part.We will definitely visit the place again and will chose to stay here again.

It was an unforgettable luxury experience at Shimla British resort. From the moment I stepped into the hotel the service was exceptional. The staffs genuine care for gas set a new standard of hospitality. It was one of the best properties in Shimla to enjoy the nature. I loved the room and its balcony views with green view all around. It gives you peace and serenity allowing you to snap some moments to rest and rejuvenate. I look forward to visit soon and being delight again.

The stay was comfortable and really enjoyed with my family. I stayed in the heritage suite and that room was unbelievable. The start was very pleasant. The food was really tasty. They also prepared us early breakfast. Would surely recommend it to others. Thank you British resort

I understand that Shimla is a hill station with uneven terrain and narrow roads. Even with this limitation, this hotel has an excellent land area and profile. The hotel must have enjoyed excellent glory in the past. However, this hotel is now unacceptably old and most of the features are worn out. This hotel needs a complete make over before being presented for international standard accommodation.
However, we truly appreciate the help, care and concern of the staff and availability of quality food with the room service option.

This was our 11th accommodation on our month long Himalayan adventure and after reading the reviews, I choose the British resort. Well there's been some good and some unpleasant experiences here. The front office staff are pretty nice as you tend to expect. The room was large and the furniture was antique and well kept. The bathroom was fairly clean. The view from the balcony was beautiful. We stayed on the 2nd floor. There are different varieties of rooms here, so it's prudent to check which one you have booked, as the reviews you read might be for other category rooms. The food and room service was very good. Room service was so efficient, fast and courteous. That was the good part. And a dedicated parking space in the midst of a crowded city like Shimla was a pleasure. We will definitely visit the place again and will chose to stay in the British Royal suite room which has twin rooms.
