The location of the hotel is very nice that I can see the sea view easily.

I got married at the Spa Hotel this month and can honestly recommend it as a hidden gem for an intimate wedding ceremony and reception in a stunning location. I first looked round the Spa Hotel in January and was priced up by the Karen the GM. I had very little need to speak to Karen until the month before when the final numbers and meal choices were given. In total, I had two meetings with Karen before the wedding and a few email exchanges to clarify questions. My bridesmaids and myself stayed the night before in a beautiful, spacious room. We had a delicious tea the night before in the restaurant and had an amazing breakfast brought to our rooms on the morning. My maid of honour and I even had our nails done in the Amber room, lovely staff and nice experience. Six months later and I’ve had my perfect wedding. 50 guests arrived for an 11 o’clock ceremony and from start to finish we were taken care of. The GM was behind the scenes checking everything moved smoothly and Ste, the master of ceremonies, led the day’s events. Nothing was too much for the staff and everyone worked tirelessly to make the day run smoothly. I wouldn’t change a thing about my day, it was perfect.

We had a lovely nights stay at the Spa hotel we wished we had booked another night.. All the staff were really friendly & helpful… We had a late lunch which was all delicious..all our rooms were spacious and clean with sea views could not fault anything

Simply Fantastic. Celebrate our wedding anniversary by booking a night at The Spa Hotel and so glad we did. We were so lucky with the weather. Sat on the terrace enjoying the autumn sunshine with a cocktail or 2. We then headed to the spa and enjoyed the massage and treatments. A full 1 hours massage each and my wife had a full facial too. Having reached an almost comatose state of relaxation it was difficult to pull ourselves out of the lovely room and off the comfortable bed, but we did manage it! The team at the hotel and in the spa are friendly chatty the perfects hosts. The breakfast next morning was sensational too. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay. I’m currently thinking of an excuse to go back and enjoy it again.

This was my second visit to the Spa Hotel. Really enjoyed it first time with my two brothers when walking the ClevelandWay footpath. loved it this time when with my wife. The room was a bit special and really comfortable. On both visits the staff were really friendly and service was excellent, special mention to Karen the Receptionist and Tracy who was working in the restaurant - great service and a great sense of humour. The young man who served on at breakfast impressed me and my wife too ( but don’t know his name). We hope to be back again in the near future. Best regards to all the staff, Chas

Fabulous hotel, perfect location, beautifully maintained , good quality food attentive friendly staff. HOWEVER, the carpark is very tight and the chance of finding a EV charging bay that doesn't have a non electric car parked there was remote. Excellent hotel but don't plan to recharge your car here.

This hotel is able to charge what it wants since there’s no competition in the town . So it’s your choice either pay it or don’t stay there . Yes we paid it but frankly it’s really poor value for money . For £245 we were expecting a slick and modernised hotel that exudes comfort and warmth . Instead it’s an old building on the hillside of the town and we think a former night club that is a rat run of corridors and draughty entrances and echoes . Whilst our room was clean it was noisy from the Wine cellar chiller fan 24 hours per day . The fabric of the place is dated. Not worth the price of an equivalent priced 4 star hotel in Copenhagen we had returned from . Niceties such as tissues in room were lacking . Bath/ shower gel one small bottle per couple with no body lotion provided - and that’s with a business that has a Spa attached to it ! Breakfast is included if booked direct with the hotel but they don’t provide any fresh fruit ;cereals; toast other than served with cooked dish . Fruit juice was a choice of orange or orange ! We really felt short changed by the experience but as stated you pay the price !

Booked a room asking for a shower that is easy to get in due to mobility issues. Shower in room 7 inches off bathroom floor. Ask for fizz to be in room for when we arrived as a surprise, arrived when we where in room. Online menu not anything like menu we where given, would not have eaten there if we had seen that menu. Service slow even though far from full of guests. Breakfast & restaurant manager was on reception duty not running breakfast service, 20 mins for tea, coffee & juice to arrive 30 mins for food all while seeing non residents on outdoor terrace getting food & drinks faster than paying guests. Oh & don't bother emailing with issues you just get ignored 😒
