Perfect peaceful zen resort. Attentive staff and elegant experience. A must stay!

The rooms in the main building were a bit dated, and the value for money wasn't great on weekends. However, the quality of both breakfast and dinner was quite good. They also offered a dedicated shuttle service to the bus station. The hot spring was just average.

This was the most stunning place we stayed during our 12-day trip, a true secluded gem nestled deep in the mountains. Upon arrival at the parking lot, we noted there were only a handful of cars, perhaps ten at most. A dedicated staff member was immediately on hand to assist with our luggage. The attention to detail was evident even in the lobby, where staff were seen meticulously cleaning luggage wheels. The decor was luxurious and authentically Japanese. They even have a pillow room for guests to choose their preferred pillow. Our stay included dinner and breakfast, featuring exquisite Kaiseki cuisine. A dedicated server meticulously explained each ingredient, and the meal was served over a leisurely hour and a half, allowing us to fully savor every dish. The service was impeccable. Our children absolutely loved their stay. This hotel is Michelin-recommended and definitely worth a return visit.

Everything was excellent – the dining, the rooms, and the exquisite decor. I particularly enjoyed soaking in the hot spring while surrounded by lush greenery. The only minor drawback was a recurring noise at night in the room; I couldn't tell if it was the air conditioning or water pipes.

It is definitely a 5-star hotel with excellent service! The hotel is mixed with modern and traditional elements. You will never find it old, shabby or smelly like an old house, but it has also a strong Japanese traditional vibe around all the places. The stuff there were professional. They patiently explained all the details in a very polite tone, making you feel like a VIP guest. The mountain views were fantastic, giving is a remarkable onsen experience. All the facilities are clean and looking new. The food was good and special. It is the best hotel I have lived in Japan. Highly recommend it!

The room was absolutely fantastic, offering stunning views from the window. Despite the hotel's opening year being listed as 1998, the interior decor and facilities didn't feel dated at all. It clearly underwent a recent renovation in the past few years, giving it the impression of a brand new hotel. However, there were some water stains around the toilet in the bathroom.

The dining experience is good as all has private room with good service.  Onsen areas are spotless clean with all good facilities.

A hot spring hotel with a very good experience! I booked a night and two meals on Ctrip. We chartered a car to go all the way to the hotel. It was said that we would check in at 3 o'clock. We arrived at around 2:30 and checked in smoothly. The staff explained each item in detail. There is an open-air private bath on the first floor, so we didn't go to the public place. I heard from friends that it was very good to go there in the morning and evening. It was great to see the mountain view in the distance. There were regrets and surprises: it was a pity that the plum blossoms in Meilin Park had not yet bloomed, and the surprise was the silver-clad snow brought by the heavy snow! It snowed heavily at night, and the dark night was full of large snowflakes ❄️ falling silently and straight down. Occasionally, they would be brought to the face by the whistling wind. Watching the flying snow and soaking in the hot spring, it felt simply... Dinner Kaiseki took more than 2 hours 😅 very rich but slow The snow outside the breakfast room was beautiful, and the food tasted even better! We checked out at 10:00 and were taken to the station by the hotel car.

The large public bath? The water? smelled like chlorine and I didn't like it. The food was average. There was no staff at the bar lounge so I couldn't use it. The water heater on the balcony was running all night and the noise was bothersome. It was nice that it snowed the next day and I was able to see the snowy scenery.

I will come to this hotel again: Located halfway up a mountain near Hita City, more than 6,000 plum trees will bloom when winter turns to spring. The hotel is small, with a view at every step. The long corridor, red wooden bridge, and elegant lobby all allow sunlight to be projected as much as possible, and blend with the warm yellow lights in the house, making people feel warm and comfortable, reflecting the intentions of the hotel builders everywhere. The entire hot spring hotel uses plum blossoms as design elements. Qizhe, Orihime, Nangao, Yingjuku, and Ryukyō are five varieties of plums in Japan, which have become the names of beautiful different room types. The hotel's room keys, tables and chairs, window shapes, and room decorations are all inspired by plum blossoms. Nangao and Yingjuku rooms both have their own private hot springs. When taking a hot spring bath, the valley in front of you is sometimes misty, sometimes colorful, and sometimes starry. The various beauties of the Hibiki Valley are unforgettable. The breakfast and dinner included in the hotel are all exquisite Kaiseki cuisine, incorporating local plum characteristics. You can try plum wine of various flavors and ages during meals. If you are not satisfied with the drink, you can buy a few bottles of plum wine from the nearby store and take them home as souvenirs. There is also a non-alcoholic plum juice that is also very delicious. The hotel staff are serious, friendly and helpful, and the pick-up service is very thoughtful.

The location is remote and suitable for self-driving guests. The hotel is divided into old and new seats. General rooms are in the old wing, and high-end and VIP rooms are in the new wing. The environment is very high-end and integrated with nature. The Nangao room you stay in is spacious, with a ground terrace and a private bath, facing the beautiful scenery of the mountains. You can breathe in the natural aura while relaxing! What more could you ask for! Every corner in the room is a check-in point. The modern kaiseki dinner and Japanese breakfast are also rich, and there is still room for improvement! The overall stay was better than expected!

It is quite luxurious, kind, and gentle. The hot springs and meals are both satisfactory. It is a bit disappointing that the family bath is paid.

A great hot spring hotel. This is my second visit. The food is delicious and the service is good.
