Location isn’t convenient if you aren’t driving and it is a distance away from the main area. Service is great. The room is comfortable and clean.

2月17日(土)から１泊、1階の温泉半露天風呂付デラックス洋室103号室に滞在しました。 2020年7月にこの地を襲った大水害から3年、2023年2月に新たに再建した宿で、 その復興に思いを馳せると、感慨深いものがあります。 【客室について】 56㎡あるゆとりある客室で、1階の一番奥に位置しています。 リビングスペースとベッドスペースが、竹の組木で作られたパーテーションで仕切られており、それぞれに独立性が保たれ、この地に馴染むおちついたデザインになっています。 部屋付きの温泉は源泉かけ流しの大きめの浴槽で、いつでもゆっくりと寛げます。 部屋の外には専用のテラスがあり、緑を眺めながら、ソファでゆっくりと湯上りタイムを過ごすことができます。 気になったのは、部屋の金庫がとても狭くて暗い場所にあり、操作方法もわかりにくいと感じた点と、バスローブの質感はとても肌触りの良い良質のものであった反面、部屋履きのスリッパがペラペラで安っぽいと感じたことです。 【温泉について】 館内には3つのそれぞれに泉質の違う温泉が沸いており、そのうち1つは貸切風呂になっています。 部屋の温泉も含めて、滞在中にいろんな泉質の温泉を湯めぐりできるのは、なかなかに楽しいです。 特に良かったのは、地下にある第1号源泉「御影の湯」で、とろっとしたとても柔らかい肌触りの温泉は、”人吉温泉発祥の湯”の名の通り、極上の泉質でした。 他に2階と3階に男女それぞれの第2号源泉「翠河の湯」と「翠山の湯」があり、ここがこの宿の大浴場になっていて、小さな露天風呂やサウナも完備されています。またここの内湯の窓の向こうには、清流「球磨川」の美しい光景を望むこともできます。 【食事について】 夕朝食ともに、1階のレストラン「蘇峰」の個室でいただきました。 ともに質量ともに満足できるレベルで、美味しくいただきました。 特に印象的だったのは、夕食時の「山女魚の塩焼き」肉厚で身がふっくらとした山女魚でした。それと朝食に供された「*かけご飯」美味しいお米に削りたての鰹節をたっぷりとかけて頂く絶品のごはんでした。 スタッフのみなさんもとてもフレンドリーで感じが良かったのですが、夕食の提供スピードが速すぎるのが気になるところでした。 【パブリックエリアについて】 ロビーではフリードリンクが用意されていたり、ロビー前の屋外にはすてきな”水盤テラス”があり、川からの風を感じながらのんびりできます。 他にも"星空テラス”があり、夜は焚火の炊かれるテラスで、チェアに座ってきれいな星空を眺めることができました。 【総評】 周辺の景観を巧みにとりいれた造りと、限りあるスペースを最大限有効に活用した施設、スタッフの皆さんの笑顔の接客、極上の温泉、美味しい食事、どれもが満足できる滞在でした。機会があればまた再訪したいと思わせる今回の滞在でした。
