PPengguna Tanpa NamaIt was my first time staying at a hostel so I was a bit nervous but it was incredibly clean. I felt very comfortable throughout my stay! On top of that, the drinks of bar were so cheap and they even have a student discount,which was amazing. Just a quick hands up: the breakfast was listed as starting at 6:30,but it actually started at 7:00. Other than that, everything was perfect. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Edinburgh.

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed twice at the Riccarton Inn. It's traditional with a pub up front and rooms at the back. Very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. This is not a hotel chain but an individual inn. The rooms are not new, nor full of modern amenities as some would require. The mattress was creeky. Nevertheless, if you want a truly Scottish experience full of authentic ambiance, you cannot beat Riccarton. We ate breakfast and dinner in the inn and found them delicious. Had to hop on a couple of buses to get there from the airport, but that was part of the fun!

TTravelogue1926The hotel and staff are great. It's a 10-minute walk from shops and restaurants. The room was secure, allowing us to leave our belongings without concern. The only downside was the bathroom; we wanted a private one accessible in the evening without going outside, but our room's bathroom was outside and shared with others.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaThe staff were nice, the bed and the toilet was clean. However, the bathroom was dirty. The sleeping experience depends on the people in the room. Mine was bad because people in the room with me was loud even at 11PM. There was a bar on the ground floor. There was also a kitchen for people to use which was nice. Do I recommend this? If you're saving money, yes. But i recommend bringing slippers to be more comfortable and a lock for your bag for safety.

SSophy剛好碰上愛丁堡舉行藝術節，酒店價格飆升，衹好退而求其次，訂了城郊的這個學生宿舍。中文翻譯是“愛丁堡大學宿舍”，但其實衹是愛丁堡學院Edinburgh college的學生宿舍，並不是著名的愛丁堡大學university of Edinburgh 缺點：就宿舍本身來説，真是一言難盡。房間連浴室估計不超過十平米，一張靠牆的1.2米床，房間裏噴灑了濃郁刺鼻香味的空氣“清新”劑，窗户衹能打開一點點，薰得人頭腦發昏。浴室衹有個頭頂噴淋頭，沒有能拿着的花灑頭，水又噴得很分散，洗澡是件艱難的事情。 宿舍裏安裝了很多扇防煙門，裏面各房間象迷宮一樣，剛開始容易迷路 優點：幾個房間劃成一個區域，例如18區，裏面有公共廚房，餐具、廚具、冰箱、桌椅、微波爐、電瓷爐甚至烤爐一應具全。宿舍後面有個大超市，可以買東西自己做來吃。 宿舍附近有個小海灘和綠道Granton Beach，步行過去十分鐘左右。愛丁堡夏天涼快清爽，天氣晴朗海邊景色美好，人也不多，散步很舒服。有些當地人沿着海邊綠道騎行或溜狗。 宿舍門口有不少巴士，進城比較方便，到市中心王子街花園大概半個來小時
