"Pros: Excellent location, close to everything. Free luggage storage and the staff are quite nice. Cons: The rooms facing the street are incredibly noisy. Self check-in is a bit of a hassle. There's no kitchen and the common area is quite small. You can't choose your bunk, so if you want a bottom bunk, remember to ask the staff for an odd-numbered bed. The washroom is a bit small. Otherwise, it's pretty good."

"The room with a view was absolutely fantastic! You could see Calton Hill and the sea in the distance right from the room. The free croissants at the front desk were delicious. Calton Hill is just a five-minute walk away, and the views from there are breathtaking. The hotel is also only a few minutes from Edinburgh Waverley train station, and having direct lift access was so convenient and pleasant. Edinburgh is a wonderful place and definitely worth revisiting. This hotel is also worth another stay!"

Overall, this hotel was quite comfortable and its location was excellent. It's within walking distance of the station and all the main attractions. There's a small, quiet church next door, which made for peaceful evenings. The front desk staff were super helpful; they first checked if we could check in early, and when that wasn't possible, they offered complimentary luggage storage so we could go explore before coming back. That was a really nice touch. The breakfast was also quite substantial."
