On one of the nights during our stay, the fire alarm went off at 3 AM. We sat on the curb across the street, shivering in the cold for half an hour before the fire truck arrived. During that entire half hour, no staff member came out to explain the situation. Staff from Hotel Skypark II across the street did come out to check, and after the fire trucks arrived, we also saw Skypark staff communicating with the firefighters. About an hour later, other guests started returning to their rooms, and we followed suit. Even at that point, no staff from this hotel had appeared. On our way back to the room, we noticed a large amount of clutter in the stairwell (see photo) — a hazard in itself.  A few minutes after we got back to our room, the fire alarm suddenly went off again, but just for a few seconds, which startled us so much that we immediately went down to the front desk on the 3/F. At that time, there were two foreign female sitting in the common area. We thought they were just guests and chatted with them for a bit, only to find out during the conversation that they were actually staff members here. According to them, they were something like international students or exchange students working here— not trained professionals you would expect to handle an emergency. We also figured out during the conversation that they had actually been standing outside with the guests the whole time while we were all waiting for the fire trucks to arrive — yet even then, neither of them had come forward to say anything or offer any reassurance. We guessed that they were probably working here in exchange for a place to stay, which would explain why no one seemed to be properly in charge when things went wrong. Putting this incident aside, this hostel is actually quite good.  The three of us stayed in a family twin room. We were able to open two large suitcases in the entrance hallway, and there was plenty of space at the foot of the beds and underneath them to temporarily store things we had just bought. The double bed was more than spacious enough for two people, and there was also lots of room on the shelf behind our bed to place personal items. The only minor complaint is that a smell occasionally came from the ventilation system on the bathroom ceiling. Also, there is no shower stall/ bathtub (see photo), so when you shower, the entire floor and toilet bowl gets wet, and there is no place to hang clothes to change into after showering. The room was pretty clean. The common area has a vacuum cleaner, a washer-dryer, and a luggage scale. There is also a microwave, an oven, and a stovetop available for use. For breakfast, bread, eggs, cereal, milk, and Indomie instant noodles are provided for you to cook yourself.   The hotel's location is very convenient — it's right across from Hotel Skypark II. It's a short walk to Euljiro 1(il)-ga Station and Myeongdong, and there are plenty of great restaurants nearby, as well as a convenience store right across the street. If it weren't for this incident, I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Seoul Vamos Hotel is the best hotel I ever stayed. The room is beautiful, cozy and is very comfortable. They have beautiful small lobby on 1st floor with a water dispenser, coffee machine, tea bags, microwave and food utensils. It provides proper necessities to its guests and is really very convenient. For me, having good necessities is more than important. To travel around, I would say taking public transport is very convenient as there are bus stop conveniently located nearby the hotel or taking Uber, Kakao Taxi and Tmoney-Onda, therefore traveling around seoul is seamlessly connected from this hotel. Not to mentioned, they have big shopping mall nearby like the ”Shinsegae Department Store times square branch” and there are convenient stores too like ”Nice to CU”. In addition, I would also say my experience with the hotel's staff is amazing, they are friendly and helpful towards their guests. I really love the hotel top-notch service. In terms of communication with the staff, I have no issue communicating with the staff. I really miss my stay in Seoul Vamos Hotel. I will definitely stay here again in Seoul Vamos Hotel. 100% recommended. To anyone visiting Seoul, do check out this hotel!!

The location is very good and it is near lots of food place. The room is very clean and the staffs are very friendly helping us get taxi and showing us the directions. 10/10 honestly!! Don’t have an actual pic of the room but the picture is the food literally opposite on the other side of the road 🤤

I can say that Gaga Hotel Dongdaemun is quite an underrated hotel that is not really popular among tourists from my own country. However, I trusted my instincts to book it anyway and turned out it was a great choice! First, the location is really strategic. You took an airport bus from the terminal and straightly rode it until Dongmyo station. Just 2 minutes walk from the station and you will arrive at the hotel. Bonus point is that the hotel located at landed area, no need for hiking steep trails or stairs! Then, you wanted to go to the main attraction places, simply ride on the city bus or took the subway train that was located just 5 mins walks from the hotel. Really convenient! As for the room, it was really minimalist but still have all the basics necessities that every tourists needed. Body wash, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, hair dryer, towel, toothbrush and even hanger provided in the room. But bear in mind that korea’s hotel only provided small towel, just enough to dry your body 😂 As for check in and check out process, it was convenient as well. You do it all by yourself. Really suitable for introvert person or those who may have language barriers. And lastly, for a hotel, it offered one of the best price that you can get in Seoul. Overall, I had a great stay at Gaga Hotel and definitely will recommend this hotel to others. And I will definitely consider again to stay there for my next trip.

I had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the dedicated female area requires a secure code to enter, which made me feel very safe as a solo woman.However, the room comfort was quite poor. I was assigned a top bunk bed, and the room was incredibly hot because the air conditioning had been turned off.The bathroom facilities are located outside of the room and consist of a universal toilet. While the shower itself was okay, the towel provided was tiny and looked like it had already been used.While the security for women is great, the hot room and poor linen quality mean I would likely look elsewhere next time.

Stayed here for the remaining 8 Days. For the price (last minute booking) it was really worth and had an amazing stay. It's near a bus stop and train station. It's also fairly close to the Olympic Park for concerts i was attending to at Kspo. So the location was perfect for me as well! The staff were always friendly and helpful to me. Altough they couldnt communicate well in english, they tried their best to communicate via app translation and instructions were also given in english, so there were no problems. i appreciate the effort! You have to keep in mind that they do late check in tho (expect checkin to be 20:00-22:00) but it did fit my schedule bc i could only check in around that time. The room itself impressed me most for the price! Its very modern. The bed was big, comfortable and soft (which many dont have in korea for some reason...). Aircon was working rlly good and fast. The lighting was great. And what really impressed me myself is the TV. That's be biggest Tv i've ever had seen in any hotel ever haha (and i've been to luxury hotels too) its bigger in person than the picture shows and the quality was impressive. I just love watching TV, they had Tv, netflix and youtube too. They had a screen where you could order delivery food too, its very practical. The pc was also good, not high gaming level ofc but you can do alot in there. Overall the design was good, windows a little small but i didnt need window views. My only downside was the bathroom, it was big clean and spacious, however there was a sewer smell (not stinky or foul but like a weird bad smell) often when you dont turn on the air suction, especially when you come back to the room after a long day outside. The smell would fade ofc but sometimes it would take longer and its unbearable to be inside there. I dont know where the smell would come from. But still, it felt icky to brush your teeth or wash you face when you smell that. However, The shower, toilet and sink itself is clean. The soap dispenser however were dirty and old, They NEED replacement, so i didnt like using them. But the soap inside smelt good ofc. Towels were clean. Amenities were basic but good. You got your free water bottles every few days, robe, fridge, hair dryer, new soap packs. If you wanted to wash clothes it was in the lobby, and you can rent more items like iron etc. At the lobbys you could have free snacks and drinks/ coffee too it was nice addition. My overal stay was amazing! For the cheap price and location it was so much better than i expected. It was the perfect hotel to stay in (and its not motel too btw). I would recommend it, if you have the same needs as me. I will be staying in there next time!

Cadar dan sarung selimut adalah serba baharu, dan tuala juga serba baharu dan bersih. Setiap katil mempunyai almari pakaian sendiri. Anda boleh membawa kunci anda sendiri, tuala dan jalur kuasa standard Eropah. Jika anda datang dari Perancis, bawa sahaja kabel pengecas standard Eropah anda sendiri dan gunakan terus! Terdapat gel mandian dan syampu, tetapi anda perlu membawa perapi, berus gigi dan ubat gigi anda sendiri! Dalam tempoh dua malam, saya bertemu dengan orang Cina yang datang ke Korea untuk mengejar bintang. Pada malam kedua, saya bertemu dengan seorang gadis dari Chengdu dan seorang gadis dari Lyon, Perancis Kami berbual janggal dalam bahasa Inggeris dan Perancis selama lebih daripada satu jam Akhirnya, sains popular berjaya membenarkannya meninggalkan negara itu untuk melawat Kota Terlarang telah dipindahkan ke Beijing selama 9 jam Dia dibenarkan pergi Kami makan itik Peking, dan memintanya memuat turun V dan mengikat kad banknya, dan kami menambahnya sebagai kawan!

Saya menggunakannya untuk mengejar penerbangan pertama saya pada waktu pagi. Lokasinya bagus, tetapi tangga dari exit 10 di hadapan hotel terlalu sukar. Bilik itu terasa lebih seperti sebuah hotel daripada sebuah hotel. Kemudahan pancuran mandian sangat bagus dan bersih. Tidak ada acuan sama sekali, yang sangat bagus! Terdapat tikar elektrik di atas katil supaya ia tidak sejuk. Tidak ada peti sejuk, tetapi tiada masalah untuk bermalam tanpa makan. Saya agak bimbang bahawa tuala itu sedikit kekuningan. Pengurus sangat ramah. Memandangkan jumlah harga, ia adalah kemudahan yang jauh lebih baik daripada rumah tetamu atau motel!

I stayed for the whole week at this hotel. It is a nice small hotel that just 1 station away from Gangnam. Room is cleaned well everyday in the morning, they provide extra water and amenities at the 1st floor so it is nice. Internet speed is very fast and you have smart TV inside your room.

It's only two minutes' walk from the nearest station and has excellent access. There is a convenience store right next to the hotel, and there are 24-hour restaurants nearby, so it's convenient. A refrigerator, dryer, and smartphone charger are provided in the room.(i-phone&type-c only) If there is no staff at the front desk when you check in, you will need to obtain your room number using sns. As others have written, the cleaning situation leaves room for improvement. However, you will be able to stay at a very reasonable price, so I think it would be a good idea to bring slippers and other things to make up for the parts of the floor that are not well cleaned.
