"This hotel is only a block away from The Convention Songpa where we attended our friend’s wedding. It is a bit far from tourist spots in town but it’s on subway line 8. Lotte World Tower and Olympic park are close by. If I come back to Seoul again I probably won’t stay here. Personally I was disappointed with the breakfast. I normally love Korean breakfast but their options were very limited and the same food all three days we stayed there. There was a problem with the drainage in the shower. I stood in a pool of water the whole time and I had to stop my shower twice because I was afraid I was going to flood the floor. If you need hair dryer and iron, you’ll have to request from the front desk. There wasn’t a shower floor mat/rug either. The cleaning staff were very nice though and the front desk folks speak English well."

"The rooms were clean and recently renovated. The hotel is high tech with your phone being your room key. Breakfast was included in our stay and although options was limited and simple it was filling enough. Sausage, scrambled eggs and toast. Yoghurt with granola. Salad and cheese. Tea, coffee, juice. Cereal and milk. The staff was friendly and nice with daily housekeeping cleaning the room. The location was excellent with the subway nearby with lots of restaurants nearby. Lots more young locals out and about in this neighbourhood."

Experience was great, service is excellent but location was a bit far from majority of popular locations. The property isn’t maintain properly and for a hotel that’s only few years old it feels like it’s been in service for at least a decade plus. Would not likely stay here again given there’s plenty of better hotels in this price range or lower.

Great location right by City Hall Exit 6 and Sogong Underground Shopping Link Exit 2 that leads to Myeongdong. Cheonggyecheon stream is just 600m away, perfect for a morning run. Staff were attentive and helpful. Gym was in another building on a high floor and very well equipped. Room was a bit small but comfortable enough.

Perkhidmatan yang sangat baik. Kaki saya tercabut dan memerlukan pita pelekat. Saya membuat permintaan di Room Chat dan mereka menghantar saya dalam masa 5 minit. Pada kesempatan lain, kami perlu pergi ke Sanchon untuk temu janji makan malam tetapi tidak dapat mendapatkan sebarang urber atau teksi pada apl, jadi kami cuba bertanya di meja depan hotel. Kakitangan mereka mengatur teksi untuk kami dalam masa 10 minit. Sangat dipuji kerana kecekapan dan sikap ”boleh buat” mereka! Satu-satunya kelemahan ialah sarapan hanya dihidangkan sehingga 10:30 pagi. Alangkah baiknya jika sarapan pagi sepanjang hari disediakan kerana pelancong masa lapang tidak mempunyai jadual yang padat dan cenderung untuk bangun lewat.

This place was ok. Not amazing. Staff were lovely, very courteous and helpful and spoke perfect English to us, which was much appreciated. The hotel itself is very dark and set in a French 18-19th century theme. The room was very clean and unexpectedly big! We had a seated lounge area, external hallway and cloakroom in addition to the bedroom and huge bathroom with separate bathtub and shower. We did not take breakfast as this was an additional extra and with lots of local options nearby we felt the pricing was not competitive. Location was great, 5 mins walk to the main shopping street, Olive Young etc. And many restaurants. One thing I did not like was the extra charge for things such as the toiletries. We had a bath on the first night and used the bath bomb without knowing it was chargeable. Extortionately priced and not appreciated. When returning to Seoul I will definitely look for other hotels in this area.

My stay at the Grand Hyatt Seoul was genuinely impressive. What made the biggest difference for me was the location — it’s truly excellent. There are so many great breakfast spots, restaurants, and shops nearby, and it’s easy to explore the area on foot. Having the metro close by is also a huge plus. It was my first time in Korea, and I honestly felt a bit anxious about where I would stay. But the moment I arrived, those worries disappeared — the area feels lively, safe, and very comfortable to navigate. The hotel itself isn’t brand new, but it’s well maintained. The service is solid, housekeeping is reliable, and overall everything works as it should. Nothing flashy — just consistently good. But really, the location makes this place stand out. It’s one of those rare hotels you actually want to come back to. And I definitely would.

Right at the heart of Myeongdong! Convenient location - once you walk out of the hotel there are endless things to do, with the convenience store, Starbucks, olive young, the street foods, and more! Plus the hotel was very comfortable after walking all the day. Decent size. Comfortable bed and pillow.

JW is 5 star because of excellent assistance and service from the Conceirge to bellboy! Oliver recommended and assisted us to book a nice dinner venue for my family at Seokparang. He even initiated to assist me in booking a cab. Mason helped us with the luggage. He even took initiative to ask us for our airport transfer car plate number so he can keep a lookout for us. He even initiated to ask us to sit inside the hotel lobby while he kept a lookout for us. As he understood we are rushing to catch the flight, he even helped us to translate to the cab uncle to hurry for us. All of them speak fluent English, are very warm hearted and takes initiative in offering excellent service with genuine smiles. Our hearts are deeply grateful to them. 5 star 🌟 because of them. 4 star for the rooms don’t have Netflix. It would be great if the family can gather over Netflix entertainment. Small issue though as the service more than cover up for everything! :) We were offered a nice river view which was romantic! Very clean hotel. Location is excellent as train station and direct bus airport limousine is just by the hotel. Great connectivity. Will definitely revisit this hotel again.

I checked in late about 10:15pm and was ready to do a self check in using the machine but there was an individual at reception. When I arrived, he was at the reception desk and I stood there but he didn't acknowledge me. When I went back to the machine, he then called out. For a first time visitor to Seoul, this would create a poor impression. Luckily it is my 3rd time to Sth Korea. Check-in was done quickly. My spar suite was lovely. Modern, clean and had what I needed. Bed was quite firm and a bit uncomfortable. Glad to have Netflix Breakfast was sugary cereals, iinstant noodles and bread to make toast. No tea or coffee provided at breakfast. You get your own at reception. I went to use the instant coffee machine - no water - I had to fill up the tank but couldn't figure out how. Great location though and really quiet.

I stayed in the 3 bedroom suite for one night. It was right before the departing Korea and I was very happy to spend my last night at the place. The staffs were professional and helpful. I was able to store lots of luggage before check in so we can move around lightly. The location was very close to the subway station, cafes and restaurants, and walkable distance to Samsung Coex. It was such a last minute change of plan and I was able to stay only one night, but it was most satisfying accommodation among all the places we stayed- was clean, spacious and modern. Although it is considered hotel which isn’t suitable for cooking at home, but they provide necessary appliances and utensils available for simple stuff. Their spa set up was cute, and my children really enjoyed.

I didn't encounter any staff in person during my four-day stay; all communication was handled via the phone at the door. I wouldn't recommend this place if you're not comfortable speaking flucent Korean. Friendly reminders: - There is no elevator. - There is no restaurant on-site. That said, the room facilities were quite nice.
