I had a great overall stay at this hostel! It truly felt like a home away from home. However, I did encounter two issues that I'd like to bring to attention: the presence of bed bugs in the beds and inadequate ventilation.
Despite these concerns, I would still choose to stay here again if I returned. The cleaning staff did an excellent job, and the Thai lady at the reception was particularly friendly and helpful. With a bit of improvement on those two issues, this hostel would be nearly perfect!

We really enjoyed our stay, the location was easy to get to, a bit far from some of the sites (about an hour by metro to sites) but it was close to a metro station, and has some really really good food choices nearby. The breakfast was DIY and some people were going crazy with taking stacks of bread but the staff are pretty good about staying on top of keeping things stocked until the end. Our room was clean and comfortable, ac worked ok. The laundry was mixed. The washer works good but the dryer vents are clearly blocked and need to be properly cleaned by a duct cleaner, they just tumble around wet for an hour.
This isn't unusual for places, this kind of maintenance gets forgotten about, hopefully they read this review and book a duct cleaning. Our balcony had a drying rack that we used and our clothes dried by the next morning.

PPengguna TetamuMy stay was from Friday to Sunday. When I arrived, a male receptionist checked me in, but he seemed unfriendly. Since I arrived too early, I had to wait until noon for check-in. I decided to go for a walk before check-in, leaving my luggage at the reception. I also requested a lower bunk because I’m older and climbing up and down is inconvenient. When I returned around 3 p.m., I was assigned an upper bunk. I went back to the front desk to ask if I could have a lower bunk, but the male receptionist told me they were fully booked. However, when I checked out, I noticed that the lower bunk next to mine was never occupied. When I asked him for directions to places I wanted to visit, he rarely provided helpful answers and seemed to have a poor attitude. The other staff members were much better, though; only this large male receptionist was unfriendly.
By the weekend, there was a female receptionist, and the service immediately improved. She was friendly and did her best to answer questions for tourists. The cleaning staff was also diligent, and the cleanliness of the place was excellent. However, guests should also keep the facilities clean—like flushing after using the toilet. It would help if the hostel put up some notices about this. The surroundings were beautiful, with birds chirping and a charming entrance with a small coffee shop and plants, creating an attractive atmosphere.
The location was convenient, with a food court nearby frequented by locals, offering affordable prices. There were also plenty of massage shops in the area. Both the BTS and MRT stations were about a 10-minute walk away. Overall, it was still a good experience. 👍

Sstyle RyukyuIn February 2024, I had the opportunity to stay at a hotel conveniently located within a 5-10 minute walk from a subway station and about 15 minutes on foot from the MAKKASAN Airport Rail Link station. The check-in and check-out processes were notably smooth, with no issues encountered.
The room I stayed in was a single type, which was exceptionally clean. The bed was elevated and required climbing up stairs, which felt precarious when returning in a tipsy state. The air conditioning was comfortable, although the absence of a refrigerator was notable. Additionally, the stairs leading to the room were quite steep and challenging.
Amenities and services included shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but no toothbrush was provided. A hairdryer was readily available in the room. The staff, particularly the female staff members, were exceptionally friendly and quick-witted, efficiently understanding my needs despite my limited proficiency in English and Thai.
The hotel offered beer for sale, which was convenient as it eliminated the need to visit a convenience store. Considering the pricing, I found the hotel to offer significant value for the cost.
Overall, my stay was memorable, especially due to the always smiling and welcoming female receptionist. This hotel is highly recommended for its exceptional staff, convenience, and value for money, making it an ideal choice for travelers looking for an affordable and comfortable stay.

FFreebird_GraceThis turned out to be okay. I feel the reviews make it sound nicer than things actually are. I mean it is an alright place. Not cheap when you consider the prices. There are a lot of first time travellers here from china. So no one talks and it's not the hostel environment you would expect. I don't know if I was unlucky, but during my stay. There were a lot of Chinese tourists and it was noisy. The rooms on level 1 (where the kitchen and shoe rack is) should be avoided as it has the noisiest 6 bed female dorm and then just people all night. There are too many mosquitoes in the evening. The hostel should atleast place table fans in the balcony area and wherever travellers are sitting. Also in the reception area, the choice of music is terrible. It gives you a headache while sitting there. The girls working here are nice and work a lot. Most of the staff seems young students and part timers. Rooms are okay but the crowd thing can be a pity. The strangest crowd from china. It's more of a Chinese guesthouse than a hostel. Location is decent and allows good connectivity. The breakfast is standard but the coffee options (packets) are a let down.

JJo YiKinnon has a homely feeling to it, and I recommend it for digital nomads who plan to stay longer periods because:
1. They have an in-house kitchen, and most items on their menu is only 60 THB. There’s also a fridge for all guests to use, as long as you label your food accordingly. It’s also very common for the guests here to order food delivery.
2. There are multiple working spaces here. The one shown in my picture is the “common” working area, but I believe the room with the grey room in the same picture leads to a private room (I guess you can take meetings here, idk how soundproofed it is). There’s also a TV room upstairs if you want a more relaxed environment.
3. I love their bathrooms, because there is a huge wall shelf with many compartments, so most people just leave their toiletries there. I really dislike having to carry my toiletries to the toilet every time I shower, so this was a huge bonus! It’s also very spacious compared to the bathrooms in other hostels. The cubicles are comfortably wide as well, with sufficient hooks and even a rack to place your things!
One negative thing to comment is that there is a rather huge gap between the edge of the bed and the wall (refer to picture). If you’re someone who moves around a lot when you’re sleeping, you might accidentally push your stuff and it might fall down to the bed below lol. It didn’t happen to me but just be careful where you place your stuff and you’ll be fine :)
Location-wise, there’s a 7Eleven, a massage parlour, and plenty of eateries within a few minutes walk. Based on Google Maps there should be both MRT and BTS stations within 10-15 minutes walk, but I did not take either of them during my stay here so I cannot comment on whether they are easy to find.

SSilvia GiacobHotel molto curato, già dall’esterno. La posizione è comoda per visitare i templi principali, che sono raggiungibili a piedi, anche se rimane lontano dalle stazioni BTS/MRT. Check-in rapido e attento, con la ragazza alla reception cordiale e disponibile. Ho prenotato una camera tripla per una notte, composta da un letto e un divano letto. Purtroppo, il divano letto era sfondato e scomodo: lo sostituirei o considererei la camera solo per due persone. Il bagno è piccolo, senza finestra e essenziale. La doccia funzionava a intermittenza: l’acqua partiva dopo un paio di minuti, poi si fermava e riprendeva, rendendo complicata una doccia regolare. Anche il lavandino è molto piccolo. La camera non giustifica il prezzo pagato, soprattutto per via del divano letto. Senza di esso, sarebbe stata ok! Inoltre, non c’è una stazione per ricaricare le bottiglie d’acqua, solo un piccolo dispenser vicino alla reception. Nota positiva: c’è sempre qualcuno alla reception, il personale è fantastico e l’hotel è molto pulito!

PPengguna TetamuI recently spent three days and two nights in Bangkok, and I can confidently say this hostel was the perfect place for female solo travelers. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to explore Bangkok!
The hostel is ideally situated on Khao San Road, a vibrant area teeming with local delicacies, souvenir shops, and nightlife entertainment. It's also within walking distance to major attractions like The Grand Palace, The National Gallery, and The National Museum of Bangkok. This central location made it incredibly convenient for sightseeing.
The hostel itself is clean and beautifully decorated, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I felt secure in my bedroom, which featured a modern card security system for access. This added layer of safety was reassuring for a solo traveler.
One of the standout aspects of my stay was the host, Summer, who speaks excellent English. Her ability to communicate effectively was a tremendous help, especially when I had questions about directions or local recommendations.
In my opinion, this is the best hostel for solo travelers in Bangkok. The combination of a great location, a clean and secure environment, and helpful staff makes it an ideal choice for anyone visiting the city. I can't recommend it enough!

PPengguna TetamuThe accommodation is nice. The room snelks cigarettes, though. We had it clean but smell didn't change. The location is good because it's close a 7-eleven and a 10-minute walk to BTS.
