Three day stay. Room was fine - clean, everything worked fine. Didn't need the ac with windows open a bit and fan on. Very nice to have a covered veranda outside the sliding doors, great place to spend the evening and watch the sunset. BBQ worked fine. Ten minute drive to Huntsville, same time to Arrowhead. Convenient to Hwy 11, traffic noise wasn't troublesome and generally died off by 11:30. Security in the parking lot was good - well lit and behind the buildings, left our kayaks in the truck with no concerns. Dishes, towels and cutlery were a bit skimpy but we traveled with kitchen/bath supplies so np. The sandy beach is a short walk through the woods. Note - while it is a nice beachy area its on a river with a fairly strong current and the banks are steep. Life jackets on the kids for sure. We'd definitely stay there again, perfect place if you're not camping.

We stayed here for a dance competition at Deerhurst as this hotel is only about 5 minutes away. We had a two queen suite with kitchenette and sofa bed. The room was quite clean but probably due for a renovation; there were really nice Dove toiletries which the girls and I loved. The beds were absolute heaven and the shower head has different settings with perfect pressure. We pulled out the sofa bed but found it was not comfortable at all so we did not use. Breakfast is included and is until 9:30 on weekdays, 10 on weekends. Small pool and gym are on site along with a small store for treats if you have a craving :) Walmart, Loblaws, Kelsey’s and DQ right near the hotel which is so convenient! We would stay here again, thank you for having us!

very friendly staff, excellent eggs for breakfast not from powder,room was clean and quiet . the best part was their coffee machine that made excellent coffee ,capuccino ,cafe mocha,cafe vanilla,espresso ,cafe latte ,chocolate drinks and it was available all day long -self serve.

Very comfortable beds, nicely renovated rooms, nice bathroom. Somehow the towel count was short, only 1 in the room, we should have told them at the front desk as they thought we had taken them when we left. We certainly would never do that, we have more than enough at home and more to our taste. The owner was adamant that he and his wife do the rooms themselves and were sure they had supplied the room. I explained we are not liars and would never do that or even want them. He finally agreed not to charge us for them. Make sure you bring anything missing in the room to the front desk’s attention right away to avoid an issue like this . They are a small business and need to control their inventory also so I can understand their argument . We were there for a short time so it wasn’t a big deal to have the extra towel but in hind sight next time if we notice a shortage when checking in we will bring it to their attention right away. Otherwise everything was good , good location for the purpose of our stay.

We stayed here one night in summer. This motel is in a central location in Huntsville. Friendly and welcoming staff who are happy to help. The rooms are a good size. There is a microwave and air con in rooms. The facilities are clean. Would stay again.

First off. This place is what it is. It’s a budget hotel, so don’t be expecting any frills extra amenities. What you do get is a clean room, comfortable beds, hot water and great service. The young man who runs this place is very friendly and helpful. We were here on a motorcycle trip and it rained overnight. He left us towels on the chair outside the room so we could wipe them off in the morning. It’s little things like that that go a long way. This place is also walking distance to all of the downtown restaurants which is very convenient. Clean, comfortable, quiet, great service and convenient. Great little budget hotel.

I do not recommend this motel to anyone. It was my first visit to a choice motel since becoming a member and had a really bad experience. I used to live in Huntsville and booked a room at this motel so I could visit with my Huntsville friends. They were coming to the motel for a visit and then we were going out for supper. The manager/owner would not let them in and said it was a policy of Choice Hotels to not have visitors. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I'm a senior, not anyone that was going to cause trouble. I left without any refund and got a room at the Comfort Inn. They are also a choice motel and said they had never heard of not being allowed visitors. Thanks to the Comfort Inn for saving my stay and allowing me to visit with my friends. I will never recommend or set foot in the Econo Lodge again.

Stay in January which should be down season and seems less amount of people servicing in restaurant. Room was great clean and specious but I experienced power shortage 6:00am in morning. Will try to check it out in summer.

It was a great pleasure to stay in Hidden Valley Resort during Canada Day long weekend in 2024. The hospitality was remarkable, service team was professional, friendly and helpful. Specially the General Manager Mr. Evan Ali made our stay very comfortable with his hospitality, professional guidance and local knowledge. We would love to visit this property again and again.
