Our stay at the Albion was a pleasure from start to finish. We received a really warm welcome at this family run hotel, which has a great location, being just a few minutes' walk from the main square of Ieper, the Menin Gate and numerous bars and restaurants. The public areas were smartly appointed and our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and warm. The plentiful buffet breakfast was really good too, featuring local meats and cheeses, great scrambled eggs and, again, excellent service. Whilst there is street parking for motorbikes in Ieper, we preferred to use the hotel's secure garage, which was available for a small charge. There is also chargeable. barriered parking for cars. In our view, this hotel punches above its weight and we were impressed with the friendly, efficient service we received. We will definitely return if in the area again.

If you should visit Ypres (or Leper to use the Belgian name) there is only one place to stay - and that is the Albion Hotel. This was my 3rd visit over 2 years and I am greeted like a family member by the delightful and charming co-owner Ruth. The rooms are tasteful and outstandingly comfortable, with many amenities usually found in 4 and 5 star hotels. I totally respect the management decision not to provide a restaurant facility, as there are countless restaurants in the nearby historically square, which residents would no doubt prefer to explore. That said, they provide superb breakfast facilities that would not disappoint the most fastidious guest. For the motorist, there are excellent secure parking facilities with barrier access using the electronic room key. My personal rating of this outstanding hotel would 4 star.

Absolutely brilliant all staff where very welcoming and nothing was a problem, great room great food and nice quiet bar. Ps even has lock up garage for bikes and motorcycles would definitely return when in the area again. Only two minutes from the town spuare and lots of bars and restaurants

The hotel was very convenient for the centre, about 5 mins walk to both the central square and the Menin Gate. We took cycles with us and these could be stored in a locked garage, opened by applying our electronic key cards. The room was lovely and we ate breakfast there 3 days out of 4 as the price was competitive. Staff were friendly and helpful. We parked our car in the secure car park and left it there until it was time to leave and the end of our stay. Intend to return and would definitely opt to stay at the Albion again.

Great family run hotel. All staff extremely helpful. Bedrooms very comfortable and clean. Restaurant provided great choices for breakfast and again was very clean. Close to Ieper centre (3 min). Big plus was lockable garage for my motorcycle. Wouldn’t consider looking anywhere else if visiting the area again. Personal note, Mammy your daughter Daphne who looked after us in the main is a credit to you. Well done

Great hotel to stay in, close to main tourist areas of Ieper. Room was very clean and bed was most comfortable I’ve slept in anywhere. Good spacious and spotless bathroom. Parking available on site. Staff were very friendly. Daphne in particular went above and beyond to help with any queries and requests during our stay. I would highly recommend staying in The Albion if visiting Ieper.

This family run hotel never ceases to impress. Every member of staff is a joy to deal with. Guests are guaranteed a warm welcome, and are instantly made to feel at home. The rooms are comfortable, bright and spacious, and always spotlessly clean. Breakfast is well laid out and offers a wide choice for all tastes. Ideally situated, close to the centre of Ieper, the hotel is the perfect base for battlefield touring, and is easily within walking distance of the Cloth Hall and the Menin Gate Memorial. The hotel also has ample parking. For me, this is the best hotel in town, and I look forward to returning, both for work, and as a private guest.

Cannot praise the Albion Hotel highly enough. Charming and attentive owners and excellent staff who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our Room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was first class in a really smart and modern dining room. The garden of poppies was an added bonus as was the secure car park . If we ever return to Ypres (which is well worth visiting) we will definitely be booking into The Albion.

Basic hotel that has been redone inside. Very snug room with modern shower, tv and closet, Great location, Good breakfast, Friendly staff. In order to be a 5 star larger rooms or suites should be available. Also a basic thing such as a Do Not Disturb sign was “being printed.”. The maintenance man was scheduled to come and check a light fixture near the bed right after we arrived, We insisted that he come later -at 5:30 as we wanted to rest and dress for the evening. They weren’t real happy with this but these kind of maintenance issues should be scheduled when no one is occupying the room.
