"Over the years we have always loved staying at the Victoria Hotel, and is always our first choice, as it is central, well priced, staff are great and rooms are always clean. However our recent one night stay staff mixed up our room with my next reservation and the lady I spoke to on the phone was quite rude when I told her we had a twin room booked not a double and would like to change. (Not a huge deal to us but one we wanted changed) Down at reception this was fixed up by a lovely man who couldn’t apologies enough for the mix up. Once changing our rooms we noticed that the toilet in the new room was leaking all over the bathroom floor when flushed. We did tell reception which was the same lady I spoke to on the phone, she told us she would get someone to come and fix it, which wasn’t a problem again as we were out the rest of the time. I also mention there was no tv remote as I didn’t want to get the blame. Later In The night when we returned the toilet had not been fixed but they had bought a remote. As it was very late and we were checking out the next day we didn’t bother with reception but did let them know again on check out. Hopefully this issue was a once off."

"Great location only two or three minutes from Southern Cross Station. Staff lovely and welcoming. Room small but comfy as was the bed. Bath in the bathroom but no plug (none for the hand basin either) so what's the point? Grouting on tiles where the shower is needs scrubbing or replacing, not hygienic. No milk in the fridge but was available from reception - BUT had to be paid for (never in may years of travel had to pay for milk in a hotel). No Hotel directory either physical or on the TV so didn't know if breakfast was still a available in the ground floor cafe and WiFi details not provided (my device located it for me) So a bit of attention to detail is needed to make this a very nice experience because it is a good hotel and easy to get to."

"Stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Melbourne – Flinders Street for a short city break. The location is excellent, directly opposite Flinders Street Station and within easy walking distance of Federation Square, the Yarra River, restaurants and Melbourne's laneways. The hotel itself is functional rather than impressive. It appears to be a converted office building, which means the layout is a little different from purpose-built hotels and there are no particularly memorable views despite the prime location. The room was comfortable enough, but the finishes and fixtures lacked the polished feel I've experienced at other DoubleTree properties. Business travellers looking for a more premium or contemporary fit-out may find it falls short of expectations. During our stay there was an issue with our baggage, however the staff handled the situation professionally, resolved the problem and provided complimentary drink vouchers as a goodwill gesture, which was appreciated. One disappointment was that the gym was closed during our stay, as this is a facility I normally like to use when travelling. Overall, the hotel's strongest selling point is its outstanding location. It works well as a tourist base for exploring Melbourne, but business travellers who prioritise hotel facilities, room finishes and a more modern feel may prefer some of the newer hotels in the CBD."

"We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights at this hotel. The room and overall stay were okay, but there were a few disappointing points during our visit. Most of the staff were not very welcoming or smiling, except for one male waiter during breakfast who was friendly and attentive. We were also disappointed that the spa was not working during our stay, as this was one of the main things we were looking forward to. They offered complimentary drinks as compensation, which we appreciated, but it still did not make up for missing that experience. Another issue was the coffee machine during breakfast — the coffee was not hot even after we informed the staff. On a positive note, the reception staff gave my son a teddy bear during check-out, which was a sweet gesture and made him very happy. Overall, the stay was decent, but the service and facilities could definitely be improved."

"Good value for the price. Good location, walking distance to main city areas with loads of restaurants, shops and QV mall. The interior was clean and refurnished although the corridors and exterior seemed old. Bad positioning of the faucet in the washroom causing water spraying to the table top. The gap between the door and floor was too big and light shone in at night."

"Absolutely brilliant location! Close to most places or a short walk away from the rest.  Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful on checking in.  Room was great - comfy bed, good view and no issues with noise like other reviews have stated.  Air conditioning didn’t work at first as the filter is in desperate need of a clean but otherwise no issues. For the location and the price, I would definitely stay here again!"

PPengguna TetamuThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.

DDaphh02The Highlights 1. The location of this hotel is second to none. Right outside the door, you’ll find endless food options from quick bites to diverse international cuisines, plus plenty of cafés, bars, and public transport. Having the SkyBus stop to the airport just around the corner was convenient. 2. Every team member I met was friendly, approachable, and genuinely eager to help. They are well-trained and motivated to provide excellent service. 3. The room itself was spacious and modern. Both the daytime city views and night lights from the window were wonderful, and the furnishings felt new and well-maintained. 4. Guests have access to some excellent facilities, including a gym, a library, and a full wellness area. The indoor pool is comfortably heated even on a chilly Melbourne evening, and it comes with a sauna and bubble spa, which makes the stay feel more like a resort. What Could Be Improved 1. The room setup felt unusual. I booked a one-bedroom suite, but was placed in a two-bedroom apartment with the master bedroom locked off. I completely understand that I only paid for one room, but it felt a little strange knowing there was a part of “my” room I couldn’t access. Personally, I would have preferred a proper one-bedroom layout with full access. 2. The bedroom I was 'allowed' to stay in also didn’t have its own air conditioning. It relied on the living room’s unit to keep cool, while the locked-off master had its system. This design made things a bit uncomfortable at times, especially overnight. 3. The sofa had an unpleasant, urine-like odour, which made us reluctant to rest in the lounge. 4. The main door lock was rusty and stiff, making it frustrating to open and close. 5. There was no landline phone in the room to contact reception, so the only option was to head downstairs. A couple of times, even during office hours, the reception was unattended (likely because one staff member was juggling multiple tasks). It could be so inconvenient to have a more extended stay. 6. While the pool facilities were lovely, they were often crowded. The common facilities are shared with residents of the building as well as hotel guests, but this detracted from the relaxing vibe. Would I stay here again? Yes, probably. Mainly because of the unbeatable location, the great facilities, and the friendly staff. But I do think the hotel needs to address the details so that it can align with what they claimed as 'luxury'.

Was told they were coming back to fix but when I went to reception at 7:45pm to ask why they’re not fixed I was told they determined they could not fix until a later date, Requested a room refund from Crown which was declined. Very poor experience and will be taking the request for refund further. With no natural light it was akin to staying in a large dormitory.

Semasa cuti Easter, semua kedai dan restoran tempatan tutup, tapi tak apa, kami kan menginap bersebelahan dengan Chinatown! Semua peniaga Cina yang rajin buka seperti biasa, sangat bersyukur, kalau tidak memang kebuluranlah kami! Kemudahan bilik pun sangat bagus, peralatan dapur lengkap, sangat berpuas hati.

TTina FeThe hotel carpet smells, the building is old and needs a total replacement of carpet. When we entered our room. It smells like bleach everywhere. We have to open the window to make it go away. The room is decent size and the toilet and bath are separated where there are no hand basin to use after using the toilet if someone is using the shower or bath tub. The view from our balcony is magnificent, the Melbourne tall buildings skyline. I also love the location because it is near public transport, free tram and shops, even universities. The kitchen are complete with cooking utensils and pans. They got free coffee, tea and milk. The toiletries were given 1 set of tiny bottles but we are 4 people booked in.

PPengguna Tanpa NamaThe hotel is v new, just opened recently so the facilities are kinda cool. It’s like half hostel half hotel vibe where there is a common space, gym and kitchen at level 1. The gym is super cool, should check out if you have time, there is small tvs in front which could display exercise guiding video. The kitchen sometimes can get dirty especially the sink there, it might clock and has fly. You generally fill up water at the sink there so you might mind and gets quite disgusted. There is no slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, coffee, tea and water provided in the room. Without slippers, it can be quite cold stepping into the bathroom. The room is quite dark, there isn’t a bulb at the top of the room so it’s designed such that you just get back to hotel and have sleep. You also can’t get light near the end of the room. The staffs said they will do housekeeping for every 4 days so let’s say you stay up for 3 days, no one will come and clean up the room for you. Good and bad. The hotel wifi sometimes will lost connection, maybe there is too many people using, I’m not sure but it’s quite annoying. The shower holder is too tall, definitely higher than 2m, not user-friendly. The location is v accessible, there is a tram station called queen Victoria market nearby and it’s within free tram zone. There is a 7 11 at the end of the street, convenient to grab something fast. If you like Asian food especially Chinese/ Malaysian, there is quite a lot of options you can choose from
