Gem of a hotel in Melbourne, with all the facilities you'd expect, pool, bar, food, access to parking next door, in the heart of the city without being too busy. The staff were exceptional and the nice touch's made our visit, just that little bit better. Complimentary drinks, chips, lollies, pretzels etc, was a welcome change. All in all, a memorable visit for my 60th birthday.

Gorgeous stay at this lovely hotel. It was my birthday and it was great to be able to check in early when we got there just after 12 noon. Our room was fantastic, the bed and linens divine and the bathroom huge with lovely gels, soaps etc. We had booked afternoon tea and it was superb with some more unusual sweet offerings. Cocktails and a cheese platter later that night when we returned from seeing some Comedy Festival acts capped our night off beautifully. We had a late checkout so plenty of time to enjoy the fantastic breakfast with everything you'd expect to be on offer. It looked like there was a delicious make-your-own pho-style soup for vegans available too. The staff were terrific. A number of them had little badges on that advised they were in training but you'd never know - service from everyone was polished, pleasant and efficient. Truly service to a high standard worthy of this lovely property. Yes, there's a big building site next door as a new underground station is being constructed - dont let that put you off, you'd never know it was going on once you are inside. No doubt that this is our new favourite hotel in Melbourne - a truly polished but warm and friendly offering to high standard.

Location is great and near to the museums. Trams are also nearby to move around the CBD. The famous croissant is just next door. The breakfast have halal friendly options. You just have to state clearly you need halal so they don’t grill your bread with the bacon. To note that some of the items don’t have the names of the food. So do take note to ask first if you require halal options.

We chose QWS because it is superbly located for the city and cultural quarter but without any road noise. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Really friendly staff who give you their time, nothing too much trouble and a very good breakfast choice. We stayed for 6 nights and loved every minute of our stay. Being an apartment type hotel with residents meant that we were treated as guests not simply people passing through. We had a late flight back to London and Stephen kindly arranged for us to freshen up in a room before departing for the airport. To top it all we were upgraded to a lovely suite on the 8th floor without even asking. What a welcome. If only all accommodation providers could match the customer service we received holidays would always be great. Well done team QWS !!

Recently had 5 nights at this hotel with breakfast included in daily tariff. Excellent hotel in great location for the theatre district. Easy walking distance to free trams and multitude of mainly Asian restaurants. The room was well appointed and very clean. Bed was extremely comfortable.. Haven't slept so well for ages.. The room was cleaned and made up every morning with clean towels etc. The sheets were changed after 3 nights. Breakfast was adequate with several cold selections as well as tasty hot selections of bacon, eggs, sausages, eggs, mushrooms, tomato and other daily changes. All staff were very helpful and pleasant but the standout was 'Guy' We had several interactions with him and he was amazing in his caring customer service. This hotel is very lucky to have him onboard. He was extremely helpful on all levels and a really nice genuine man. Will gladly return to this hotel on the next sojourn to Melbourne.

Stayed here as a Diamond Ambassador in an iconic suite - Check in experience was great, warm welcome, benefits acknowledged and welcome drink provided. Amazing room, ridiculous amount of space, comfortable bed, great little office/working area. Unfortunately, the general level of service/care factor is lacking especially when staying in a room costing over 1k a night! One of my complimentary water bottles was open/used and about half empty, yuck. Later that day I wanted to use my $25 credit on the minibar 200ml bottle of gin (which is listed as inclusive of 4 mixers). Gin was missing from the mini bar I couldn't find it. Called down to reception to ask if it was by request, they assured me it should be there and would send someone up. Waited 2 hours and no one came which frustrated me as I was waiting so called down again and was assured someone was on the way. Someone did arrive with a huge bag full of everything except the gin. When questioned didn't seem to know what I was talking about, I had to point to it on the minibar menu and was met with a very confused expression, he left. Then about 30 minutes later a different person arrives with the gin bottle, success. However upon checkout there were a bunch of mini bar items charged which I hadn't consumed, and in fact were not even missing. I hate having to have that conversation but after only 3 words they were ”happy to remove them” which makes me think this isn't an uncommon occurrence. I later noticed that the mixers were charged as well where as they should have been included with the gin purchase cost, but I couldn't be bothered wasting my time to try and sort it out. Club lounge service was attentive but did fill up and get quite busy in the evenings however my drink was always topped up and the staff there were friendly and engaging. Temperature control seems non-existent in the room and I'm convinced it makes no difference what you set it to. I had my do not disturb on until mid morning, so as I was leaving for the day dropped by reception and said I may have missed housekeeping and could they have someone make up the room. Arrived back a few hours later and it hadn't been done. All up a real mixed bag here, but can't help feel my simple requests were a bother and inconvenience.

Good location. Room was quite small. No hotel toiletries provided was informed the same will be provided only upon request. Reception staff not very hands on the hotel policies. The sparkling/spring bottle of water & cookies were given during checkin. We were informed that the water is refillable. Later when we requested for the same the night shift receptionist said that it will cost AUD5.00 per bottle. For breakfast same food were served during our 4 days stay. Ms. Nos was very efficient, helpful and cheerful.

The apartment was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, but even this comfort could not help me fall asleep with the noise of the trains outside. When I booked, I knew it was right beside the train lines, but thought there would be more sound proofing to keep the noise out of the apartment. If trains noise isn't a problem, then definitely book in here. Well priced and comfortable.

After I lay down in the bed for 20mins, the itchy feeling came. When I went out, no itchy feeling came. We three people lived in this hotel, I was the first person to feel that. lateron, other two felt like I was. Alo, one of staffs at the front desk is not professional, my room number is 339, I said three thirty nine, he didn't know; I said double three nine, he didn't get it ether and he said I said wrong number. The hotel is conveniently located right in the heart of Melbourne near the Spanish Quarter, Bourke Street Mall, and other shopping precincts. The staff are friendly and efficient at check-in. The rooms are good in size with modern amenities and comfortable beds. There is a kettle and small fridge. The bathroom has a bath with a shower, so if you have mobility issues, it's not for you. There is no rail to hold onto when getting in or out, which makes it dangerous, especially as it gets slippery. There is a pool and gyn which were modern and accessible. The room we had faced into the mezzanine of the hotel so you dont get any light from outside, which was strange. The room was very quiet and had a good air conditioner. Overall, we would stay here again, although the lack of being able to see outside wasn't ideal, and if you stayed for more than one night, it could be an issue.

First off, I was disappointed that the image of the gym on the website was not present in the hotel; there are no free weights, just machines, which are still good, but not the same. The room was spacious and clean; Mantra staff even left a nice easter egg for us (as it was Easter weekend); however, they didn't restock the soap after the last visit, so we had to ask the staff for soap and toilet paper. Last, you must take a physical credit card; you cannot use your phone.

We stayed on floor 4 room 10 Saturday night. We arrived at 2.10 and our room was not ready (we had just driven 4 hours) The guy at reception said about a half an hour and he would call us when it was read We went for a walk and watched some footy. 3.10 came and still no phone call so we called the apartments and the guy said the room would be ready in 10 minutes.   When we checked in we were not asked anything about vaccinations as per your email sent last week We went upstairs got organised, 4 of us sat down to have a drink, most of the flute & wine glasses were filthy, some still had remnants of lipstick. We also did not have a tea towel. I took 3 of the dirtiest glasses down stairs to get replaced, he could only find 1 clean glass. 3 were brought up later on but were about to go out I have attached a couple of photos of the apartment, appalling absolutely appalling. Lots of water damage bathroom and the floor outside the bathroom is all uneven and and all of the carpet was pretty disgusting We had the room with the window, the lane was very noisy so not much sleep, then early hours the garbage's were emptied with mostly bottles smashing and woke us up Very disappointing stay to say the least
