"Our 8-day stay at Hotel Metropolitan Sendai East was exceptional from start to finish. We booked a Superior Double room, and it felt surprisingly spacious and comfortable—especially for an extended stay. If I had to sum up this hotel in one word, it would be convenience. Its location directly within Sendai Station makes getting around effortless. Trains, buses, and a wide variety of dining options are all just steps away, which made exploring the area incredibly easy. The breakfast selection was generous and satisfying, offering plenty of options to start the day well. What truly stood out, however, was the customer service—consistently attentive, professional, and welcoming throughout our stay. We would absolutely choose to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sendai."

"The location of the hotel is convenient just walk along sky walk through AER building you will see the hotel.The room is bigger than the other hotel we stayed during this 13 day trip. We stayed here for 2 nights. The first day of our stay, 2 water bottles, set of green tea and coffee were provided in the room. Because we would like to save the environment so we agreed with the hotel not to change towel and bed sheet.The the second day nothing was provided only garbage picking. But my friend's room was different . Everything was provided because they didn't say anything. Even we didn't want to change bed sheet or towel but we still want to drink coffee or tea. So we were confused with the hotel service.Anyway we still recommended this hotel to anyone who come to Sendai."

"酒店像是由公寓改造而成的，地下的staff很有禮貌，每次經過都會跟我們打招呼， 地理位置方便，附近有幾個巴士站，花10分鐘就能到達仙台站。 房間面積頗大，最讓我驚喜的是浴室和廁所是分離的，還有玄關，比起一般的酒店更大！不過美中不足的是，酒店的服務相當有限，我在這裏住四晚，本身打算讓他們每天進行打掃，被告知無法進行後，我便跟他們約好兩天打掃一次，結果他們在那天也沒有打掃。房間的垃圾就一直堆積在那裏，實在是有點失望。"

"The Premier version of Daiwa Roynet. The room for 3 persons was about 2sqm bigger than the Daiwa Roynet hotel I stayed in Morioka. The difference in size was obvious. It was a functional hotel with good wi-fi speed. The beds were comfortable and we were each given 2 pillows. Toilet and shower area was also a decent size. Basic toiletries like toothbrushes, body wash, shampoo, conditioner and hand wash were provided in the room. Location was very good. 1 minute walk from the Sendai Asaichi which was the morning market. 3 minutes walk to Parco 2 and about 7 minutes walk to JR Sendai station where the shinkansen is located. Service from the front desk staff was professional and adequate. Used their help to help me fill up the forms for TAQBIN to send my bags to Tokyo. They have a basic level of English so they relied on their language translator which was fine. There was a 7-11 store and Starbucks at the first level of the hotel. We wouldn't mind staying here again due to the location and the proximity to the JR Sendai and Subway station."

"The hotel has an excellent location, very close to the train station and very convenient for getting around. Overall, everything was good during my stay. "Close to Sendai station, just a short walk. In front of the hotel is a famous Asaichi market. The hotel is close to all shopping malls. The 2nd street shop is in the mall next to the Asaichi market. You can walk to the sendai station area and look for a loop bus (see the picture). There is a one day ticket with multiple getting-ins. It will take you to the must-visited places of Sendai. The location is excellent. The hotel is very clean. You can self-check in and self-check out. The breakfast is excellent with Japanese style. There are free amenities (e.g. face mark, tea, coffee, lotion, etc.). Overall, I strongly recommend it."

"it's nice, but the walls are very thin and you can hear conversations next door. there were families here. it's not a romance hotel. other than that it's mostly quiet. my biggest complaint is: why only 1 washer & dryer? the breakfast buffet is great. i thought the japanese grocery store food was good and the hotel buffets that were grocery store quality were good, but this was another level. this was restaurant quality. now i know what the grocery store bento boxes are trying to achieve"

"A very nice and convenient hotel. About 8 min walk from sendai main station. The hotel entrance along the road can bit a bit of challenge to find but just keep a eye on it. The room is large and spacious by japanese standard. I did not try the breakfast but they provide free starbuck coffee at lounge from 1400 to 2200hrs. Would be good if they can change that hrs to morning onwards. They provide two type of pillows, one hard and one soft..which is good. Thanks for hosting me"

"VVery nice hostel in a good location near train station..Have an Onsen, microwave, hot water, a place to sit down and eat or working at your floor..not have a fridge. I came too early, because of my train from Tokyo (around 1.30 pm) and i need to wait until 3 pm for check in. Beds ready, clean ready...but need to waiting the check in time..and it'fair isn't. The only problem was they start check in process 5-7 mins before 3 pm and they was very slowly and not professional...my time for check in it was 3.15 pm if not more...one of the last check in there. And this happened especialy because one disrespectful girl, she was determined to delay the proceedings—even more than others already had. Ugly and disrespectful attitude, make me lose time everytime..she had and fun about this when i explain her i not appreciateher jokes. She, as well as all the others, either doesn't know how to speak English or doesn't want to... just simple words, like ”key.” I expected more from one hotel (or hostel) in Japan. I was disappointed with the choice of this hostel. It is very difficult to find the hotel without help, as its name is written only in Japanese. The bed is very hard; it feels like sitting or sleeping on a wooden plank."

Fantastic hotel in a very convenient location. It is close to everything, including Sendai Station, shops, and bus stops, with several convenience stores nearby. The hotel exceeded our expectations. It had live music, free refreshments for guests after 3 p.m., and live piano performances in the afternoon. In the morning, there was live organ music, which created a very special atmosphere. The staff were always polite and helpful. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had great views.

The hotel was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The spacious environment made the stay very comfortable. The bathroom was fully equipped, featuring a rainfall shower and a separate wet and dry area for added convenience. The extra-large double bed came with four pillow options, catering to different preferences. Additionally, the room provided a hairdryer, straightener, and curling iron, which was a thoughtful touch. The staff were polite and friendly, making the overall experience even more pleasant.

This hotel in Sendai is extremely friendly to international travelers. One of the staff members can speak Chinese, which was incredibly helpful for us. She assisted us with many things during our stay and helped arrange luggage storage before check-in, making everything very smooth and convenient. The room is also slightly larger compared to many hotels in Japan, which made the stay more comfortable. The location is excellent as well — it is very close to Sendai Station, and there are supermarkets and many shops nearby, making it very convenient. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and there is really nothing to complain about. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers visiting Sendai.

We were to people during 3 nights. The pictures are from after our stay, that’s why it’s a bit messy. It was very tidy and nice before we moved in for our stay. It was quite close to the station and a lot of restaurants close by, and extremely close to the morning market as well, which was nice. The room was very nice and clean. A little bit spacious as well. If you have a suitcase I think you maybe manage to open it somehow. We didn’t use any cleaning service. They also had a sign you could use if you didn’t want new towels (which I thought was good from the environmental perspective). The people were nice and polite. The amenity was good as well. They had de basic stuff, which was good. Overall we think we had a very nice stay at this hotel.

Close to JR Sendai station which is connected to 2 malls, Parco & SPal, with lots of food outlets & stores. 15sqm room was small, difficult to fully open suitcases. The bathroom has tight space & the shower tub is too high so need to be careful when stepping in or out & there's no safety rail to hang on to. The breakfast buffet has roughly same items daily, only minor changes in fruit/vegetable juices & some other items. They provide takeaway boxes for breakfast food to eat in your room or on the trains if you are travelling so that's a big plus.

Check-in and check-out was really easy. Room and hotel both had nice amenities. But the room could have been a bit cleaner. I noticed during my 4-night-stay, that the room had not been vacuum cleaned once and two times I received a slip of paper by the cleaning staff that the cleaning could not be completed. One time they stated that there still was my stuff on the table and therefore it could not be cleaned. Another time, they did just leave the slip without checking a reason. I was confused both times, since all the things left on the table were the ones the hotel put there. The bathroom should also not only be treated for mold, but should be cleaned more thoroughly in general, since there was still dirt on the walls and cealing, which caused a small number of flies to live in the bathroom.  Some people might also find it hard to fall asleep, since the walls are thin and you can hear the noise from the street as well as the very loud bathroom vent that is on 24/7 and cannot be switched off.  Location of the hotel was easy to find and very central, so that was really nice.

The hotel location is near the shopping mall and 5-10 minutes from the Sendai Station. However,I will not recommend this hotel If you have rented a car for your trip as the hotel does not have its own car park. There are 3 shared car parks near the hotel and they are quite full on Sat and Sun.

Great stay if you are looking for a convenient location for public transit and clean amenities. Access to plenty of konbinis, cheap eats and shopping streets as well. The lockers were compact which made it challenging during our 5 night stay. Hope they will consider a packing stall area to make it easier when repacking. Also recommend a laundromat close by (Fuwafuwarando Omachiten Coin Laundry).

We were two people during one night. It’s a little bit far from the station. But there’s a bus stop close by that goes to the station (190 yen in 2026). What I really liked was that the hotel have bikes (with a basket) you can use for free, just ask the receptionen (I only used it once for one hour, but it was good). The room was a bit spacious, clean and tidy. If you have a suitcase I think you can open it in the room. The bed and pillows were good. What I didn’t like was that they didn’t have hand soap or conditioner. They did have shampoo and body soap though. The staff was nice and friendly. The amenity was good as well. They didn’t have face wash and face cream, like many other hotels have. But they had the other usual things, so I don’t complain. When I booked this hotel on trip.com it said the check in is between 15-22, so I checked in before 22. But when I went to the reception 23, there were still people there, and they had a machine where it said check in and out. So maybe you can check in after 22? If you want to do that I would try to send a message or something and ask. Because it felt like it was ok to check in even after 22. Overall I think we had a good and nice stay at this hotel.
