The Glen Mhor Apartments

We booked the deluxe river room and we're very happy with the accommodation. It was so nice relaxing at the end of the day and watching the river. It is close to the main tourist area but also a short walk to ness Island. The room was spacious and well appointed. The little details including the kettle with a nice selection of teas and towel warmer very much appreciated. We purchased the breakfast option. The convenience made it worthwhile but the buffet wasn't anything special.

Small room, stained bed sheet! Very small bathroom and shower. Room is hot at night, if you open the window you listen to something which might be the air conditioning? For a room at a high price I expected more. We stayed at the Waterside restaurant bit

The hotel is located directly on the picturesque River Ness. The room and bathroom is a very nice size, and I loved the aesthetic with the tartan plaid everywhere. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very accommodating. This hotel is in a great location if you are looking to walk around Inverness. I did enjoy that they had breakfast every morning starting at 7AM.

Great location just 1/4 mile from the downtown area. The complimentary hot breakfast was fantastic and started at 7am to help us get a full day of sightseeing in. We stayed in a ground floor room with a king bed and pull-out couch. LOTS of room and architectural character in the space. Uile Bheist is right on the property with 5+ main stay brews and spirits, and there is a very nice bier garten outside when the weather is nice. Check-in/out is fast. The 'Bog Myrtle' hand soap was excellent in the room! Great value for the price and vicinity to downtown.

This really should've been a 5* review as it really was a fantastic experience in almost every way. The rooms are large, beautifully decorated, well-equipped and have fantastic views over the River Ness if you book a river room. The Reception staff were wonderful, welcoming, knowledgeable and highly entertaining. The bar staff were also very helpful and knowledgeable about their huge range of whisky and craft beers. The ambience throughout the hotel is generally very tasteful and very cool. All in all, everything was great. That is, until breakfast. The restaurant was equally beautiful with magnificent views, however the staff just seemed way out of their depth. Despite having a menu on the table advising guests to make any dietary requests necessary, the waitress we asked for vegetarian food told us "there isn't anything vegetarian". We thought that had to be wrong and asked again "what, nothing vegetarian?" To which she shrugged and walked off without checking. We then asked a waiter who was more helpful and listed the vegetarian options which we accepted, only to have him return a few minutes later to tell us there wasn't anything left other than a couple of vegetarian sausages (at 8.30am). These took around 25 minutes to turn up and were very poor quality. I should point out the Reception staff were very apologetic when we told them at check-out and offered us a refund on a bar drink as a goodwill gesture (we didn't expect a refund but it was a nice gesture). All in all, we loved the hotel and virtually everything about our stay. But for a hotel of this calibre to have so little vegetarian options between the buffet and dietary requirements menu seems really bizarre. It's the only blot on an otherwise brilliant experience

Wow ... my husband and I had no idea the room we'd reserved was a huge "romantic" suite--we were just looking for a pretty River Ness view, which it definitely had! Our room was very clean and comfortable, with arm chairs and a deep soaking tub set in a partially partitioned, elevated area of the main room. We loved its location--great for walking along the river and over the pedestrian bridges, and close to a terrific pub (the Castle Tavern), Inverness Castle, Inverness Cathedral, and more. The staff were friendly and the included breakfast buffet in the Waterside Restaurant was fantastic. We enjoyed a couple of other meals there, too. The only downside was the noise--with the restaurant located directly below our room, we could hear chairs scraping, etc early in the morning. We would definitely stay here again, though!
