The room was a bit small by it was renovated or new and was a comfort to stay in. The shower needs to know how to work the faucets as I literally got a “cold shower” from the ceiling’s shower opening 😢😮. The food at breakfast was good however it did not pass my “smoked salmon test” (no smoked salmon). The hot drinks selection which is included in the breakfast is mainly filter coffee and tea. Drinks like a cappuccino and latte are at an extra charge. The tea I got was very strong and perhaps this is the Turkish style. The room key card is read by the receptors on the door and in the elevator efficiently and with no delay.

It’s a luxurious hotel with beautiful perfectly equipped rooms. Comfortable, very private with exceptionally polite and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast. No one is annoying you. Perfect Spa and Gym. I started with the garden view room witch faces east side so you can imagine beautiful sunny mornings with the gorgeous garden they maintain. Rooms have everything you need (top quality ) location in the centre Taksim but not at the loud side, just perfect. After upgrading room to Bosphorus view - it’s breathtaking. I have visited 16 hotels in Istanbul and this one is number one and there is also very important reason for it. ITS A FIRST HOTEL I HAVE STAYED (I travel 60%) WHERE YOU FINALLY DONT SEE THE SINGLE USE PLASTIC. EVERYTHING IS TAKEN CARE OF IN HARMONY OF OUT PLANET AND CLEANNESS AND HYGIENE From bathroom, room, coffeemaker, it’s all glass or recyclable which for me is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AND THE HOTEL AND ITS STAFF DESERVES 6 stars for it. You will feel it the min you enter the hotel, realising how easy it is to be sustainable, luxurious, fabulous and with the perfect location no matter that the purpose of the trip.

These guys are a scam operation. They’ll offer you airport transfer at inflated prices, there driver won’t show up, so you’ll take a different cab/taxi, then when you end up at the hotel they will make paying for the their shuttle (which was never there) a precondition for handing you the room keys (which was already paid for in my case). Total scam operation, rude front desk staff and general manager. I chose to leave that hotel there and then which my four suitcases and family of four, took a cab, found a hotel while in cab over phone, paid double obviously at the last minute, at another hotel, was greeted there again with the familiar Turkish hospitality and the worst travel nightmare came to an end. Plus the location is horrible, deep, narrow, steep alleyways, most larger van/shuttle type vehicles can’t make it without scraping their bottoms and getting damaged in the process, which if you don’t have a nice driver you may end up having to pay for. Consider your self forewarned, Don’t stay there. And like a typical scam operation they change their name frequently. Sometimes add Taksim to their name, sometime not. A very small room, but probably sketched by Marie Kondo: somehow it feels confortable and cozy for 2 people. What most reviewers said is accurate. Had a few issues with the staff, but all in all it was a great stay. It's difficult to imagine a better location, and they managed to fit a king-size bed and a reasonable and clean bathroom with enough silence for one to sleep well in the middle of an area full of old buildings. Some minor downsides would be some water pooling in the shower drain and the fact that they forced the little fridge into a cabinet where there's not enough space for air to circulate, so it obviously doesn't work. Guy at the reception just told me to use his fridge to cool my water bottles... Well, I'm sure there are worse problems to spoil a trip, so won't complain.

The people's on front desk are very welcomed but the service room cleaning very poor they don't change tawel they don't clean it every day they don't bring water the Ac has a problem not working properly, regarding to the location perfect, the breakfast is so funny I have never had such kind of breakfast like that it seems like I'm on the aircraft they select the meal and rup it and drop to your table I have seen buffet on there website but never appear there. The carpets smells very bad, and at all cleaning very poor. One thing you need to mark if you are looking for a best price this would be the best place.

Даже сейф был открыт после прежних постояльцев (да, по моим наблюдениям это редкость). 5. Персонал. Помогли получить hes код, привязали его к транспортной карте. Тоже не в каждом отеле это делают и быстро. Небольшие минусы: комнаты небольшие, односпальные кровати узковаты (80 см), а матрас очень жесткий и сильно на любителя.

My friend and i came from overseas for health tourism and our travel agent booked Taksim View Hotel (they also call themselves View Hotel Istanbul) for 4 nights for us. From the moment we arrived my friend told me that the owner at the reception made her feel uneasy and i told my friend no you are just tired because of the long plane journey. We came to our room on level 1 and the owner opened the door for us. he handed my friend one key card/ door access card and then we asked for our 2nd key card as we have paid for two people not for one person. The owner started making up storied that the last person has not returned the other key card and he will give us the spare one tomorrow. We looked around the room, it was dirty with food and tea stains on the tables, hair in the basin and shower floor. We kept asking for the 2nd card everyday and he just made up stories that he will bring it to our room and never did. We started missing our dirty underwear in our room and when he was at the reception he kept saying we need to access to our room for upgrades and what not. Also we became friend with another solo travelling in the area and he was helping us with navigating and becoming familiar with the area. During our stay my friend and i had both gone through extensive teeth procedure and were not doing so well. Our new friend came to watch over us for a bit as we were in pain and needed assistance. Our poor friend got stuck on the streets of Taksim as it was women international day and taksim square streets/roads were closed that evening due to protest for international women day. After he had passed many check point our friend got to our hotel to keep an eye on us and once the road closers outside were removed he would go back to his hotel as police had closed and blocked every access point to the city centre and taksim square and the Taksim Came. Suddenly the owner of the hotel started ringing our room phone and getting all rude and disrespectful that your friend has to leave right now or i will charge you for 3 people. I told him look outside the reception door and you can see all the police cars and ambulance , protesters and the blocked roads.And once it clear our friend will go to his hotel in Cahangir safely.The owner started being very disrespectful and screaming on the phone and I said look its 11:30pm and its not right the way his treating the guest just because we are female tourist in a foreign country. We told him please stop calling and our friend is going to leave in the next 15 minutes. He hanged up and came up to our room banging on our door at 11:45pm shouting open the door. With the owner screaming and banging on our door at 11:45pm at night he almost gave my female friend who was sleeping after her teeth surgery. The owner started and fighting and then kicked our friend out of the hotel during this unsafe environment out side. This is a little hidden gem in the heart of Taksim and the important places like Metro, Istaklal street, restaurants, Taksim square, mosque, church, mini grocery stores, money exchange, etc. are very very close. The small is a small and cozy but vintage and basic facility without a lot of bells and whistles. However, its a great value for money. The Suite Appartment has two small balconies with a view of the landmark mosque and French consulate. The large windows make it bright. The two sofa beds (one in the bed room and one in the lounge) were good enough for our two under 13 kids. Additional pillows and sheets provided on request. Heaters are available in the bedroom and lounge. The is also a small kitchenette. The bathroom is a bit small but hot water is available. There is a police check post right next to the hotel which provided a good sense of security. The front desk supervisors Mr. Hayder and Mr. Onur are very helpful and supportive and our booking was managed perfectly. Mr. Hayder also arranged a taxi for us for airport drop on time. The cleaning lady did her job perfectly. Tesekkur ederim! We will definitely stay again! There is a nightclub very close which can be an inconvenience for some people. However, in my opinion, most of the people return to the hotel late at night so that should not be an issue. Also, the online photos of the hotel are old and need to be updated to show the view from the rooms (please feel free to upload my photos). The description should be updated to include all the positives about this hotel.
