Hotel Mercator Itzehoe-Klosterforst

Wir hatten einen gemischten Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Zunächst einmal möchten wir hervorheben, dass unser Zimmer sauber und angenehm war, und der erste Eindruck des Hotels war durchaus positiv. Leider erlebten wir am zweiten Tag einen gravierenden Vorfall: In einem der bereitgestellten Handtücher fanden wir Kot. Das war für uns natürlich völlig inakzeptabel. Noch enttäuschender war jedoch der Umgang des Personals mit der Situation. Es gab keine Entschuldigung, sondern lediglich Erklärungsversuche und das Bemühen, den Vorfall herunterzuspielen. Uns wurde gesagt, "es wäre ja nicht so schlimm", und man schob die Verantwortung auf den Lieferanten der Handtücher. Da uns der Umgang mit dieser Angelegenheit sehr frustrierte, entschieden wir uns, den Aufenthalt vorzeitig abzubrechen. Positiv zu erwähnen ist, dass uns die restlichen Übernachtungskosten anstandslos erstattet wurden. Dennoch war die gesamte Erfahrung durch den Vorfall und die Reaktion des Hotels sehr enttäuschend. Wir hoffen, dass das Hotel aus dieser Situation lernt und künftig professioneller mit solchen Problemen umgeht. --- English Version: We had a mixed experience at this hotel. To start with, we would like to highlight that our room was clean and comfortable, and the first impression of the hotel was quite positive. Unfortunately, on the second day, we encountered a serious issue: one of the provided towels had feces on it. This was, of course, completely unacceptable. Even more disappointing was the way the staff handled the situation. There was no apology, only attempts to explain and downplay the incident. We were told, "it's not that bad," and the blame was shifted to the towel supplier. Feeling frustrated with how the situation was handled, we decided to leave early. On a positive note, the remaining nights were refunded without any problems. However, the incident and the hotel's reaction made the entire experience very disappointing. We hope the hotel takes this situation as an opportunity to learn and handle such issues more professionally in the future.
