"Check-in was smooth and the staff were genuinely friendly, creating a great first impression. The hotel’s location is ideal—nestled between two major roads within the CBD’s free tram zone. My room was on the 9/F and top floor, spacious and well-appointed. Though the hotel is surrounded by buildings and doesn’t offer any view, it’s peaceful and practical. coin-operated laundry and dryer are available onsite, with laundry powder sold at reception for $1 AUD, which is quite handy for extended stays. The television doesn’t support direct login to streaming platforms like Netflix, but I easily mirrored content from my personal device. This workaround worked well for casual viewing during my downtime. There were a few downsides. One pillow had a visible mold stain, which raised a hygiene concern. I had my Do Not Disturb sign displayed throughout my stay, yet housekeeping entered and cleaned the room on my final day. It was an unexpected breach of privacy, and I hope the hotel takes note and reinforces respect for guest preferences. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was highly satisfying. The combination of its prime location, spacious rooms, thoughtful amenities, and friendly service makes this hotel a dependable and comfortable choice."

"I arrived Melbourne airport at 5 a.m., paid early check in fee at the hotel of $200 at 10 a.m. for the room which was fine, unfortunately the kettle in the room was missing, called guest service who assured me that it would be delivered to the room immediately, 25 minutes later no kettle I had to ask housekeeping on the floor for it, the house maid was very helpful and I have the kettle within a couple of minutes.  Had my coffee and just got to sleep, someone came into my room and turned all the lights on.  I was shocked, it turned out that it was a maintenance person, who came into my room without knocking when there was a 'do not disturbed' sign lighted up.   Then I heard someone speaking loudly at the corridor saying that 'he wasn't happy' , I think it was quite right that I should feel upset when someone came into my room without knocking and turned on all the lights.  I called guest service explained to them that I do not want to be disturbed because I have to catch some sleep,  the person said that he/she would inform duty manager, I specifically asked him/her not to border because I need resting.  Just about to fall asleep, guess what duty manager called.  Anyway she was helpful but it isn't what I wanted, my early check in fee was waived but that was not the point.  I thought that was the end of the adventure.  I had a four night stay, half way through my stay, I came back to the room and find that the toilet floor was full of water and did not smell too good.  It turned out that the toilet shield was gone and they had to take the toilet out to re-seal it.  I had to move room.   Got to the new room and find quite a few hair on the desk and side-table, the bell boy was helpful and cleaned it.  Hence my comments that both services and cleanliness are poor in this occasion."

"We loved our accomodation at Stamford Little Collins! Friendly helpful staff, great rooms, cot for baby, great pool & spa - indoor so warm enough in cold. Only suggestion for improvement is we had a 1 bedroom had a small kitchen which was great, but nothing to cook with - no small saucepan, container for microwaving, peelers, small cutting knife, chopping board, teatowels, it would be great if those things could be available so we could have made better use of the facilities. But otherwise, great staff - amazing location, can highly recommend right near everything - coffees, restaurants, theatres, shopping etc."

"When I checked in around 2:30pm, the receptionist told me the room was still in the midst of cleaning and she beckon me to sit and wait for the room to be ready . After 45mins , the receptionist came with the keys and a warm smile. She apologised for the waiting . She given me a free breakfast voucher for 2 and grant me a free late check out. Such a kind gesture and well appreciated. The room was spacious as advertised, clean and comfortable. I truly love the say and will book this hotel again when I am back to Melbourne."

"A very convenient trolley push of luggage across the walkway straight out of the terminal. No need for any transfer rides, no waiting. There is a deposit on the room credit card or, at the time of writing, $100 cash is quicker on refund at checkout. A pool and gym. Attached restaurant for convenience. Excellent service by helpful staff"

"Excellent location with Bourke & Russell St Tram Station right outside the door. Comfortable big beds with great linen. The two bed apartment was huge, with large living area and bathroom and nice holiday size kitchen for those who would like to cook. The bath was huge though we ran out of hot water trying to fill it! Would definitely stay there again."

There was no housekeeping in 1 day until I called for housekeeping service in the late afternoon; even though I had hung ”no disturbance” tag outside the door in the morning and removed it around 12 pm. 2. The hotel staff had delivered a wrong laundry bag (should be full of clothes) with a note stick to the laundry bag stating the incorrect room no. (I had not requested laundry service during my 5 days stay) 3. In one day buffet breakfast, I requested for 2 cups hot water whereas they gave me 2 cups cold water. This means they hadn't pay proper attention."
