Generally a nice and clean place, but I’m a light sleeper, and the traffic noise was unfortunately too much for me to sleep comfortably in. However, I was travelling in the company of other, less light sleepers, and they had no issues sleeping in the room right next to mine. The hotel entrance was guarded by the smoking receptionist; perhaps they should work a bit on the first impression they give their guests.

Well firstly I have to say the location was fantastic. So close to everything especially Jaffa Street. Some great places to eat near by and only 5-10 minutes to the market. The breakfast was outstanding. The room very clean and the bed very comfortable. The only downside for us was any room on the main street side was noisy otherwise cannot fault this hotel.

We had stayed at this hotel a year ago and the standard has dropped to a level that we were extremely disappointed and saddened to experience. Our Premium room, had a lovely view and was a good size. There was had no hairdryer yet there were in the standard rooms, shower door was broken, flexible mirror on bathroom wall missing, bottle top and dusty under beds for all of our 3 night stay. The TV channel about the hotel had an area for requests. We requested an iron and hairdryer. Neither were acted on. We asked for an iron in person after we had no response in 24 hours . Limited information on the Hotel TV Channel. The plus side is a great location and nice staff in the dining area, Shabbat dinner and lunch delicious and plentiful and staff in the dining area responsive and nice. The man at reception on Saturday 15 April was very helpful. Unfortunately, the person at reception ,Israela,-no badges worn- was extremely rude and unwelcoming. No greeting on arrival or at any time. Complete indifference. We arrived soaked after a downpour. The catering person advised us there were no umbrellas the receptionist just ignored our sodden state. . Any request was answered with no before we had finished a sentence. A total lack of hospitality and care .Whist at the desk, someone came to complain about a sewerage smell in room which was met with a shrug of the shoulders . We had many an underwhelming encounter with her one of them was when we requested a late check out advised we were willing to pay for half day board,I had seen rooms were available, once again her response was no ,without looking in the system. I checked again the next night and the gentleman on the desk looked to see if it was possible and advised us we could certainly have late checkout. We asked for our rooms for 3 consecutive nights Israela told us we would have to change rooms to do so,,this proved not to be the case. I could go on about more situations and will write to management.I think the message is clear.

We just returned home from a 7-night stay at the King David Hotel. Wow! It was awesome. It's a historic hotel with a stately, old world, classic feel the minute you enter the front door. The lobby is gorgeous, the pool and outdoor area is stunning and everyone was friendly and lovely. The location was ideal. You can walk to the Mamilla shopping center (lots of stores and restaurants), walk to the old city through the Jaffa Gate, walk to First Station (restaurants and shops in a repurposed old railway station) and many other restaurants in both directions out the front door. We booked the king room with old city view and it did not disappoint. Honestly the photos don't do it justice at all. The view was much more breathtaking than it appears in my pics. I definitely think it's worth the extra money. We had the buffet breakfast included each morning and it was wonderful. There are so many interesting and delicious local foods, and they'll also do eggs to order if you want an omelet, etc. You'll find that they eat things for breakfast that American wouldn't necessarily think of as breakfast food (like Israeli salad, which is tomatoes and cucumbers chopped up) but somehow I got addicted to eating salad for breakfast. The dates, figs and halvah were all amazing. There's smoked salmon, herring, homemade granola, fresh yogurt, house made croissants (regular and chocolate), chocolate babka, basque cheesecake and so much more. The service was also great. We had the same waiter, Karim, just about every day and he became like a friend to us. He knew what we wanted as soon as we sat down. The bed was great, nice bed sheets and duvet blanket. There's a Nespresso machine with original pods in the room as well as an electric hot water kettle and tea bags. They provide bottled water every day in the room and a few complimentary sodas on the mini fridge. Housekeeping was friendly and they did a great job keeping our room clean and providing everything we needed. The only area for constructive criticism would be the room service. On our first night we tried to order a grilled cheese sandwich from the room service menu on our desk but we we were told that the menu had changed although they hadn't updated the menus in the rooms yet and that they no longer had grilled cheese sandwiches. (Kind of strange since it's pretty easy to whip up a grilled cheese sandwich.) We went ahead and ordered something else instead. Then on our last night we tried to order two burgers and we were told there were no burgers because the restaurant/kitchen that makes them was already closed. It wasn't even 8pm yet on a Tuesday night. Seemed like a burger should be a pretty basic item to be able to provide. Anyway, I asked if they had grilled cheese sandwiches instead and he said yes! Something's clearly a little off with room service. The man on the phone (possibly the same man both times) was not friendly or accommodating at all. He was the only staff member during our entire sta

We stayed at the Mamila hotel for four nights. We upgraded our room to a suite. The living room was lovely. However, having the bathroom separated from the bedroom only by glass - which does get translucent - still lets a lot of light into the bedroom. Morning brunches were amazing. The only thing missing was Jerusalem bagels which are soft and oval shaped with a honey semsame topping. Happy Fish Restaurant was only open for drinks when we stopped by, the outdoor space is lovely and overlooks the shopping district. We did not think much of the Rooftop Restaurant. Service was slow, We were not allowed to tip on our credit card and had to give cash. The highlight of our stay, though, was the front desk customer serice gentleman, Mark Souclah. His went above and beyond to help us. He even walked us to our restaurant a few blocks away to be sure we did not get lost. Whenever we called upon him, he came thru! We would stay here again!

The view from the upper floors is magical. The rooms are large and have a small balcony, refrigerator, safe, iron, coffee supplies. The bed is comfortable, the linens feel good and smell nice. Breakfast is ample and includes everything one expects from an Israeli luxury hotel. The pool is clean and climate controlled. What makes this hotel special is the employees. Everyone is super helpful. That goes for every department. Reception, housekeeping, kitchen, you name it. You can tell that they choose their employees carefully and emphasize customer service. Everyone gives the impression of really wanting to please the guests, even if it means going out of their way. I highly recommend this hotel.

Room looks a little bit rundown but it was spacious and the ensuite bathtub made for a great way to relax after an entire day of walking around in the city.
It was located a little distance from the Tram stop, so if you dont know the shortcut, it could take a while to see and walk to the hotel.
Breakfast selection and variety was great, enjoyed the meals thoroughly.
Location was near the civic centre and National Library, so that was a nice bonus.

Recently been touring the Holy Land and stayed in this very ordinary hotel. The party were there for 4 nights while in Jerusalem. The rooms are ordinary but we’re tired and needed some TLC. The breakfast and dinner buffets were good and offered a fair variety to meet ordinary needs bu5 it did not sparkle. The internet was reasonable and did the business. In the basement was a group of shops. I used the coffee house as the hotel coffee was nothing special. The hotel was noisy as it seemed full with runners for the Marathon as well as other touring groups. Staff were mixed. Some were very helpful, others seemed to treat guests as nuisance. They should work on there welcome. Yes the hotel is ordinary in need of a make over if it wants to improve its reputation.

SSeaside57650682843This cute little hotel is only a block from the Garden Tomb and a couple of blocks from the walled Old City. The place is family-owned-- I stayed with a friend prior to our tour of the holy land-she stays here often and recommended it highly. It was so quaint and the rooms were very nice. The bed was super comfy. Even on the street, my room was quiet. Their morning breakfast was delish as were the dinners we ate there. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Jerusalem.
PPengguna TetamuLocation was excellent, and the room was huge for the two of us. We appreciated having two bathrooms! Staff was always friendly and helpful (such as with directions, restaurant recommendations). We had been ”scammed” by a hacker who took additional payment from us. When the management learned of this, they explained that 5 different hotels had been ”hacked,” and that they had taken exhaustive steps to secure their system. Furthermore, they discounted our room quite significantly so that the effect of the breach was minimized. This was very much appreciated and spoke to their professionalism and humanity! This is not a luxurious property or luxury hotel, but a good value for couples and families, very near Old Jerusalem. Cleaning was adequate but could be improved. Overall: Very positive experience: Excellent location (near Old Jerusalem, restaurants, bars, etc.). Huge room. Pleasant staff with good recommendations. Management responsive to losses due to hackers and to our overall experience. Highly recommended--great value for a non-luxury hotel!
PPengguna TetamuAdministrators, front desk, staff, and caretakers were helpful going above and beyond to make my superfast and very tight-schedule in Jerusalem possible. Rooms were neat, clean, and pre-cooled - good for instantly sleeping in my case. I couldn't go for breakfast due to time constraints but the lobby smelled so nice that I have no doubt whatever was inside was amazing! (P.s. 80% of taste is smell). Location-wise, the hotel is located in the heart of Jerusalem and however it is currently rated 4 stars, I feel everything here is equivalent to 5 or 7 star hotel I have visited given that I travel mostly with work on my mind and/or have visited hotels with professional company. The hotel was silent and peaceful and one can work there. Food was too tilted on the romantic side. The location was great. All of this was just 100 Euros is also very economical. Thank You to the lady at the reception for helping me to order a Dominos Pizza at 1 AM when I arrived and staff who received it for me.
PPengguna TetamuWe've booked a room for Friday till Saturday the check out time is 11 am- they will allow staying extra 30 min, but for staying till evening will cost extra 250 shekels only if booked in advance- 300 if not. It says at the room description that they are soundproof- they are not! we were staying at the 5th floor, and could hear everything happening at the street below, including loud music from the bar located on the street- the window was close and the AC was on- yet it was like they were playing inside the room. The staying includes breakfast- better not. the quality and freshness of the food was questionable - better it somewhere else But the location is great
PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is located at a centric part of town. Walking distance (20-30) minutes from the Old Jerusalem walled city. Close to other hotels where tours schedule pick-up for all-day tours. Our rooms had comfortable queen-size beds, good size bathroom with a shower. Small fridge was also in the room along with a safe. Our rooms was cleaned and the towels were replaced daily. Our room had no windows but we weren't looking to lounge around so that was OK with us.
GGrandTour26031310404Excellent location. But that's about where the positives end. Fairly soul-less and dated corporate small hotel. Small room (my room couldn't even fit the chair at the desk at the foot of the bed. Service at check in and breakfast was indifferent and quite unhelpful. Breakfast was not great by Israeli standard. Parking was very limited and somewhat chaotic. Your park is not held for you. Front deck continues to sell car parks so that if you leave there may not be a carpark for you when you come back (happened to me) . The whole experience gave off Ramada 3 star vibes. I did expect better. The location really is superb. Close to old city, downtown, and everywhere we had to be. But I can't recommend this hotel. Very average experience overall
PPengguna Tetamumerry in the lobby was so cute and give a good service thank you . clean good food nice people and i recomended to viait the hotel also the place is good there is to many things to do in the area . food train . the room was good . the price also . breakfast is good
